[Frynose]

Frynose stood there. He was shcoked. Why wasn't his father here the last few moons. Why had he never seen him as an apprentice or Warrior. Why had his only parent missed his greatest ceremony? Could he forgive his father. Frynose always dreamed of being clse to his father. He loved his father and was no proud. But now this. Now his fathr had just abandone his mother for Lilyface.

"How could you!" he wailed. "Are you just going to leave mother?!" He turned around with his back to his father anf sister. His father had not been there for him, and now he would father other kits and be there for him. Frynose felt that it wasn't fair. "Its not fair," he whispered to himself.

[Flamefur]

"Frynose," said Flamefur softly, "I will always love Lemontail! And I will never stop loving her! And I will never stop loving you! You will always be first." he said, he had feared this would happen and he didn't blame Frynose, he would have felt the same way.

[Swiftfoot[Is Leaving]]

Dappleface padded over to her brother.She nuzzled him,"Don't worry Frynose,father will keep his word about loving us all,he kept his word about coming back didn't he?"She said,"Although he wasn't here to expirence our growth,he still loves and cares for us.."She said.

Frynose turned from his father and nuxxled his sister. "Then why weren't you there for us!" he wailed. "You never saw me train or say my ceremonies. The most inportant thing of my life happened and you weren't there. How can I forgive you?"

[Flamefur]

"Do you think I wanted to miss your Apprentice and Warrior cermonies? I wanted to be there so much, I hurt when I came home to relieze that I had missed those. I wanted to be there for you, but I had no control over the mission. I have missed you so much and I am very sorry that I missed both your cermonies, could you ever forgive me?" he asked glancing at both them.

Dappleface nuzzled her brother back as she waited anxiously for his response.Inside,Dappleface was a little disappointed along with Frynose,but she was happy her father was back,so he could witness the rest of their lives.She had mixed emotions about lilyface as well.She was extremely happy that her father had found another love,but thinking of it brought painful,yet familiar and happy memories of her late mother.She choked back unwelcome tears,causing her throat to sting with the thoughts that clouded her mind.

Frynose pushed against his sister gently and gave her a lick. "Flamefur," he said not using the same 'father', "I am sorry but a father would tell the Leader how much his kits really meant and how much he wanted to see the ceremonies. I am sorry but for that, I don't think I can ever forgive. And now you have a new mate and love. Once those kits come your first little won't matter. You will have new sons and daughters." Frynose had tears running down his cheeks. Deep inside he loved his father but now, anger burned in him. He felt resentfulness and pride. Was this the end brake between him and his father? Did their relationship end here? Would they spilt?

"Frynose," he said softly, his heart was aching, he didn't want it to be this way. "I'm sorry Frynose, but there is somthing that I want both of you to always remember, What ever happens you two will always be first in my life. And I love you more than anything," he said his voice shaking slightly. It felt as if a cat had clawed his heart out. His tail was drooping and his eyes had lost there brigthness.

Frynose didn't fave his father. He kept his back so his father couldn't see his tears that were were wetting his face and dripping to his paws. He felt sadness and confusion. "Where are you, mother?" he whispered. "Why have you left me? Now father has left?" Of course Frynose was too upset to realize that his father still loved him...

[Flamefur]

Flamefur let out a sigh and turned away from his son his own tears starting to run from his eyes, he needed to talk to someon. He slowly made his way from the warriors den and out into the camp.

Frynose turned around and watched his father leave. He wanted to call out for his father to come back like when he was a kit. But he didn't. He just watched his father leave. He sighed lay his head down. He was tired and today was a day he wanted to forget.

Her belly partially swollen, Lilyface heaved into the Warriors Den, searching for her Mate. When her grape-green orbs managed to pierce the darkness, she saw the mucseled body of Flamefur's son, Frynose. She had heard the confrontation and knew just how much hate Frynose must hold for her, but the brown she-cat felt that she needed to sort things out. "Frynose," Lilyface mewed, waking the Warrior up from his slumber. Nervous at confronting her Mate's son, Lilyface flicked her tail from side to side, fur along her neck bristling slightly.

Dappleface padded happily into the den,"Hey frynose,I-..."She stopped when she saw lilyface."Hi.."She said,quietly,not wanting to interupt their conversation.She sat close to frynose,"I hope i'm not interupting anything,because if I am,I can come back later..."She started.

It was pitch black everywhere. Frynose sat wimpering about his mother. Suddenly.... there was a glow in the sky growing closer to him. Frynose backed away slowley but carefully. It just kept coming. Out of nowhere came a voice. A southing voice. Frynose recognised it.

Frynose looked at his new stepmother. Scoffing he answered the older Warrior. "Yes?" he asked, frustated.

[Lilyface]

"Why do you hate Flamefur so?" Lilyface mewed, keeping her voice soft and surreal, attempting to show that she was no threat to the younger Warrior.

[Frynose]

"I don't hate him!" screamed the young Warrior. He turned away, angry that she would think so yet knowing it to be true. "I just wish he would relize who his real family is."

[Lilyface]

Closing her grape-green orbs for a few moments, Lilyface blinked them open to gaze at Frynose. "Flamefur cares for you and Dappleface a lot more than you think, Frynose. He was tearing himself up about you two when we were on the mission, and he still loves Lemontail in his own way. But, Flamefur also loves me, and though I'll never replace Lemontail, he cannot help those feelings, and I love him too."
