Bribery and Mischief

[Iceface]

Icekit continued his limping gait over to the fresh-kill pile and waited on Skykit and Foamkit to come. Icekit was already wondering who he could brib for a story.

"I have no idea who we could ask,"Skykit said.

"Me neither" foamkit bounded up.

"Mabye we should go to the river instead."Skykit suggested.

[Torrentheart]

Torrentheart stopped infront of the fresh-kill pile.She glanced over,seeing the three small kits.She padded over to them,smiling."Hello."She said,sitting down with her tail curled around her paws.Seeing the kits brought back memories of her own kithood...a slightly different one then theirs...

[Iceface]

Icekit winked at Skykit and Foamkit..."Here great warrior....." Icekit picked up a mouse and sat it in front of the large cat. "A great warrior like you surely has some great stories."

[skytail]

Skykit caught on."Ya,I bet you know some real great stories."

" we all know you do ." foamkit said."please tell us one!" she begged.

[Torrentheart]

Torrenheart smiled."You're not trying to bribe me are you?"She asked playfully."Well O.K."She said with a sigh..again,a playful one.She sat down."Hmm...."She said,thinking."What kind of story would you like to hear?"

[Iceface]

Did you ever get into any fights with another clan great one? Icekit meowed with grin.

"that would be a great story!" she said.

[skytail]

"Ya!"cried Skykit."That'd be great!"

[Ferny]

Splashheart trotted over to Torrentheart and the kits from the Warrios den. "Hi Torrentheart having fun" she purred as she came closer. When she got up to them she sat down and said "Telling htem a story?"

[Iceface]

"Yup in exchange for a mouse!" Icekit cried in glee. "We'll get you something too if you tell a story with Torrentheart."

[Ferny]

Splashheart smiled "Oh I don't know if I have any stories" she purred "Let's see what Torrentheart has to say first"

[Northland]

"Did I hear someone say stories? I love stories!" said Northpaw as she padded over to where the five cats where siting. "Can I listen too?" added the aprentice hopefully.

Torrentheart nodded to Northpaw and laughed at Splashheart."Thanks"She said,smiling."Ok.."She said,searching her brain for anything."I can't really think of any fights.."She said."Though I have a...different..kind of history and I know a story about another warrior named Swiftfoot."She paused."Which would you like to hear?"

"i dont care as long as it is good!" smiled the little kit. she looked at the bigger cat,. I want to be likt them she thouhgt

"OK...I'll tell you about my history."She said."Now I don't like talking about it,and you have to promise not to tell."She said,pretending tobe serious.In all truth,almost every cat knew of her dark past."Long,long ago there lived a Beautiful and Kind Kitty-Pet named Smoke.She was a friend to all cats of the forest and was loved by almost all of them."She paused,as her eyes shimmered a little with tears.She shook her head and continued."But one cat caught her eye.It was the evil Rouge leader...Darkfur."She narrowed her eyes for added interest."He was very evil but somehow Smoke learned to love him."She smiled softly."They had four kits..Brownie,Rowan,Pepper...and I,Storm."She listened for them to gasp or do anything like that before continuing."My mother,the beloved Smoke died while having us...and her grave is still at my old kitty-pet home.After a while,we all split up,Brownie and Pepper went to Windclan where they are now Brownclaw and Winterwind.Rowan went to Thunderclan where he is now Rowanfur and I went to Riverclan..where I am now Torrentheart."She took a breathe and continued."After living at our clans for a short while,she went to see our father.There the evil She-Cat,The Night,almost killed all of us...and it would have happened if it wasn't for our father.You see,though Darkfur was a visous rouge...it doesn't mean that he didn't have a heart and didn't love and care deeply for his family."Her tail twitched with anger as she went on."We found out many moons from then that our father had died.All curious to know how,we journeyed again to the Rouge camp where the night lied to us and said it was our own leader,Stormstar.Though we later found out that it was a Windclan warrior named Hollowheart."She paused and took a small breathe."So that has been my history.Once a kitty-pet and rouge....now a Fiercely loyal warrior of Riverclan."Her eyes were soft as she spoke again."I still visit my siblings..and my mother's grave.Though I have a dark past and most cats would hate to have the parents I once had...I wouldn't trade my history,or my parents for anything.."

[Northland]

All the while Northpaw listened to Torrentheart story, her own past had been creeping out of the corner of her mind she always shoved it in. At least I knew my mom, thought the apprentice with a sigh, even if I can't see my brother anymore, but I mustn't dwell on that. Suddenly brightening she said "That was a really good story Torrentheart, really really good." Turning to the three kits she mewed "I know one about, well, nah you don't want to hear that one do you?"

[Iceface]

"Well we are getting the prey for those that tell us stories." Icekit meowed. He knew Skykit and Foamkit were enjoying the stories but he had a deeper reason for listening, he was gaining information. He had to find a way to remember how he got here. And to disguise the fact that outside of the cats that he had started to form friendships with, he couldn't remember any other cats, or even his own mother...."Torrentheart your story was great! At least....hey Northpaw tell us story." Icekit said. Brighting his face.

Skykit noticed Icekits expression.She knew he was thinking deep about something."You ok Icekit?"She asked.she hoped her friend was alright.

[Iceface]

" Ya Skykit I'm fine. Just reflecting on Torrentheart's story." Icekit meowed happily.

foamkit looked over at skykit. "yeah another story would be nice." she said. "since there is nothing to do!"

[Northland]

"O.K, since you asked so nicely I guess I don't have any choice."(sp?) ((yes, I know I can't spell))Northpaw smiled before continueing(sp?), "Far away from here there is a place where green-leaf's warmth never touches, where ice is always forming a bridge over the rivers and chasms that never end. The Lands of Foreversnow as they are called are a dangerouse place, plagued(sp?) by a constant war that was said to have started before any of the elders where even born." Then she stoped, wondering just how much to tell them, It could always be a made-up story she decided, hopefully they'll think that's what it is. "the cats of Foreversnow lead a harsh life and many are faced with a difficult choice, learn to fight, or don't live to see your third moon. And even more difficult is to trust, for many are to fearful that there fellows loyalties lie elsewhere. 5 Tribes ((I made this up before the New Prophecy came out so I'm not copying)) live in foreversnow ElmTribe who share in the Forest of falling leaves with OakTribe who are the most ancient of the 5, FirTribe who live in the trees of Forest of Needles many never touch the ground in thier life, HillTribe who's emense territory spread over the foothills of the Great Mountains and are nomadic, travelling from camp to camp in search of prey, and last of all PeakTribe, walking skeletons who inhabit the barren, wind driven summit of Great Mountain, those cats are said to have no hearts, and come from the depth's of the mountains firey core, and the darkest crevices in Foreversnow. As I said, it is a place of constant war, and HillTribe's territory is very favorable to cats whomay go for days whithout a meal, and so it was that PeakTribe set thier sites on HillTribe lands." Northpaw took a deep breath before continueing with her story. "PeakTribe where rutheless, lawless cats, and HillTribe never stood a chance. In one, violent battle that painted the foothills red with HillTribe blood they where shattered. That is to say PeakTribe left no-cat alive, not even the youngest kit." At this painfull memory a tear trickled down the apprentices face, she had had a good friend in HillTribe, as had her brother. "But what happened next I do not know, and weather or not my story is true, you must decide for yourself."

Skykit purred happily."That was a good story."She dipped her head to northpaw as thanks.She looked thoughtful for a moment before continuing(sp?)"I have a story from when I was a kittypet ,just 3 moons old."

"really wil you rtell it!" Foamkit was excited to hearr a story from her friend!

Skykit nodded."Well when I was only 3 moons old I remember my mom telling me about Clanlife,my mom was a a warrior but she became a kittypet because she knew I would be safer in a twoleg nest.I never knew my dad but he was a warrior like my mom,I dont remember their warrior names but I think my moms kittypet name was kira or something like that."Skykit shook her head."I left because my twolegs talked about taking me to the cutter when I was older,well thats my past,that I can remember,"She yawned and stretched."now if you'll excuse me,I'm going to the river I feel like swimming."((If you want to come post at meeting skykit/paw))

Northpaw streached, and got up. Yawning she decided to go find Lightpaw or Dragonheart, who ever she ran into first.
