Thinking

[Northland]

Northpaw sat alone by the river, deep in thought. She needed to sort some things out for herself, sooner rather than later. Her ears twitched as she listened to the river's soft burbling niose as it flowed over it's rocky bottom. The silver apprentice curled up and enjoyed the warm sunlight as it flowed over her pelt. Not unlike the way the river flows over the stone she thought.

[glow=magenta,2,300]Springblossom was padding along the riverbed. It's such a nice day... Why are the good ones always ruined? She was so lost in her thoughts about the fight with her sister, Autumnleaf, that she stumbled over Northpaw. The beautiful tortoiseshell jumped back away from the apprentice. "I-I'm sorry!" she sputtered. The warrior was still new to the clan and didn't want to make any enemies.[/glow]

Northpaw felt stiff as she rose quickly to her paws. The silver apprentice was slightly embaresed that another cat had caught her napping. Turning her bright green eyes towards the newcomer she asked, "Well, that makes two of us that where daydreaming, I haven't seen you around before, who are you?"

[glow=magenta,2,300]Seeing that the apprentice wasn't angry, Springblossom relaxed. "I'm Springblossom. Who are you?" she asked politely. This she-cat seemed nice, and would probably make a good friend.[/glow]

Northpaw smiled slightly as she said, "Northpaw." Well, that's yet another difference between here and back home, she thought, other cats trust me enough to say 'Hi.'

[glow=magenta,2,300]"Would you like to be friends?" Springblossom asked, then immediately wanted to take it back, and flinched at her own simplicity. You are such a mouse-brain, Springblossom! Great pick-up, by the way! She wanted to bang her head against the wall, but, instead, the warrior c o c k e d her head, waiting for the surely bad answer.[/glow]

Northpaw's smile broadened into a grin, and she could barely contain her laughter. Well, Springblossom sure gets to the point, she thought. The silver appresntice answered happily, "O.K, you definatly seem friendly!"

[glow=magenta,2,300]Springblossom grinned back in complete relief that this cat had not thought of her immediately as an idiot. Again, straight to the point, "Would you like to go hunting?" the tortoiseshell warrior asked, more calmly this time.[/glow]

"I'de love to, but don't expect me to be any good at it!" Northpaw stretched, yawned, and blinked in the bright daylight.

[glow=magenta,2,300]Springblossom laughed softly. This cat most modest, too! "Well, I guess I can't say I'm no good at it, because I'm a warrior, but I can say... No I can't say anything!" she laughed again. "I guess all I can say is boasting, but here I go. Well, I guess I can fish pretty well. The only reason is because while I was a kittypet, the twolegs had a pond with little gold fish in it, and we used to catch them all the time. It's quite fun actually. Can you fish?" the tortoiseshell warrior asked earnestly.[/glow]

OCC: Yup, yup, yup! Hey, that just reminded me of something... This is sad, but, when you were little did you watch the Land before Time? I did, and when I said that it triggered the memory of Duckie, the... Well, I actually don't know what dinosaur she was, haha. OK, this is quite sad, I am remebering childhood movies. LOL!
