Doodlepelt, Shiningsoul & Appointing Mentors

[glow=blue,4,000]Tensing his muscles, Stormstar sank into a crouch, holding the position for a few moments before springing into the air in one fluid movement. His paws touched the cool surface of the HighRock, finding a hold on its smooth surface. Oh yes, he may be a little older than he was when he first made Dragonheart, Windstorm and Swiftfoot Warriors, but he still knew his skills. And now it was time to make Dragonheart and Windstorm's first litter Warriors in their turn. Many Apprentices had joined the Clan, and each and every one of them were longing for Mentors. It was now time to appoint those Mentors and ensure loyalty to RiverClan.

"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here before the HighRock for a Clan Meeting!" His yowl was clear and strong, striking the silence. The Clan gathered. Beckoning forward Doodlepaw and Shiningpaw, the RiverClan Leader smiled at the pair of Apprentices. They were as large as their Mentors - or in Shiningpaw's case, dead Mentor was - and their muscles rippled under their pelts, eyes shining with knowledge. "I, Stormstar, Leader of RiverClan, call upon my Warrior Ancestors to look down upon these two Apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble Code, and I commend them to you as Warriors in their turn. By the powers of StarClan, I give you your Warrior names. Doodlepaw, from this moment on you will be known as Doodlepelt. StarClan honours your bravery and your strength, and we welcome you as a full Warrior of RiverClan. Shiningpaw, from this moment on you will be know as Shiningsoul. StarClan honours your bravery and your strength, and we welcome you as a full Warrior of RiverClan." Nodding to the two new Warriors, Stormstar continued the Ceremonies and beckoned forward Elkpaw, Stormpaw, Spiritpaw, Spottedpaw, Dappleface, Angelfur, Snowpelt and Flametail.

"Four young cats joined RiverClan recently, looking for training and a religion and Clan to fight for. At the time, there were no Warriors available. Snce then, I have found four willing Warriors to Mentor these young cats. Angelfur, you have not yet Mentored an Apprentice. We honour your courage and your sense of justice, and we appoint you as Stormpaw's Mentor. Dappleface, you are young, but fresh minds and blood are what we need to train RiverClan Warriors. We appoint you as Elkpaw's Mentor," Turning to Elkpaw, the RiverClan Leader added, "Elkpaw, you are the eldest Apprentice, but your skills need a bit more patching up before you are ready to become a Warrior. Snowpelt, recently you fought in a battle against great odds and came out for the better. These skills in fighting are needed greatly, and we appoint you as Spiritpaw's Mentor. Flametail, you have respected the Warrior Code and we honour your faith by appointing you as Spottedpaw's Mentor."

Beckoning forward the three Kits and three Warriors - Northkit, Lionkit, Lightkit, Dragonheart, Swiftfoot and Sunshower - forward. "Northkit has reached her sixth Moon. From now on she shall be known as Northpaw and her Mentor will be Dragonheart. Dragonheart, you have endured far more than the average Warrior and I expect you to pass on your experience to Northpaw. Lionkit has also reached his sixth Moon. From now on he shall be known as Lionpaw and his Mentor will be Swiftfoot. Swiftfoot, you are a courageous compassionate Warrior and I expect you to pass on your knowledge to Lionpaw. Lightkit has too, reached her sixth Moon. From now on she shall be known as Lightpaw and her Mentor will be Sunshower. Sunshower, this is your first Apprentice, and you have shown wisdom and respect and I expect you to pass on your sense of loyalty and skills to Lightpaw."[/glow]

[glow=dodgerblue,4,000]Shiningsoul, It was a good name, a strong name, combining both her birth name and the name that Shard gave to Windstorm. She refused to refer to the cat as her Mother, nor dignified her with her old BloodClan name, the name that she had carried when Frost had placed so much trust in her sibling. She much preferred it to Shine - her BloodClan name - or Chimera - her BloodClan title. Nodding to Stormstar, Shiningsoul kept her silence, obeying the pathetic Warrior Code so as to fool her birth-Clan. It was a trick that Frost had taught her Moons ago, and the young she-cat had never forgotten it. The last time she was to work together with Windstorm was when Clash was to die. Unknowing to the silver RiverClan cat, Frost had recruited her neice to give the death-blow to Clash, showing Windstorm what she had given birth to. Frost and Doodlepelt were her ownly loved family, and Shiningsoul had proven herself to BloodClan over and over, causing a bond to form between herself and her Clan-mates, in particular Rogue, Frost's old Mentor, and Flame, the cat she was training with. Clash was a brute and Dark was too distant to form any sort of relationship with.

Nuzzling the side of Doodlepelt with her nose, Shiningsoul tried to convey all her affection for her Brother in that one gesture, sibling love in her eye. Many Moons ago when she was a Kit, Shiningsoul would have done the same for Phoenixpelt. But that ginger fool had betrayed her and joined WindClan.[/glow]

Doodlepelt felt proud, he was finally a warrior! He looked around at this clan mates and felt happy it was a filling emotion that made his love for the clan and his family even more prominent. Shiningsoul nuzzled his head warmly and he rasped his tongue over her ear in return.

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

Snowpelt padded forward to meet the gaze of his leader, and his heart swelled with pride. Though he was not mentor to his daughter or her friend, he was glad he had an apprentice, and he walked up to Spiritpaw. Many emotions ran through his body- excitement, wonderment, happiness, and guilt. Guilt that he may soon have to leave. There was also fear; fear that he wouldn't be accepted anywhere, not even as a rogue. But all this banished as he look into the eyes of his newly appointed apprentice. He reached out to touch noses with Spiritpaw.

The newly named Lightpaw felt only excitement as she went to touch noses with her mentor, Sunshower. She and Northernlights were finally apprentices- maybe they could train together! Maybe Dragonheart and Sunshower could show them the territory tomorrow, and then they could train afterwards....but taht was all tomorrow. In the back of her mind, though, lurked the ever present thought of not being a medicine cat. She'd just have to hang out with Lilyfeather more often.

Stormpaw and Spiritpaw beamed with pride at the mention of their names.Spiritpaw could hardly contain her excitment as she strongly resisted the urge to jump around in circles.Stormpaw was more contained about her excitment,though inside,her heart and soul swelled with hidden pride,excitment,and a tinge of anxiouty(SP?).Spiritpaw padded touched noses with her new mentor as well,smiling happily."It's nice to meet you."She said in that adolesent(SP?) and carefree voice.Stormpaw padded up to Angelfur as well and touched noses gently with her.She smiled and her eyes swirled with the emotion of getting to where she was today.She had been through some rough times in the past,but she was finally an apprentice...this was only a first stepping stone in the river of her life to come.

Dappleface tilted her head up to the sky with pride and happiness.The name of her apprentice was Elkpaw and she could sense a long friendship already.Walkling slowly and a little nervously to her apprentice,she bent down and touched noses with him/her(Don't know,sorry).She smiled and sat down next to him/her.

Swiftfoot,surprised by the calling of her name,looked around and spotted her apprentice.She went over to touch noses with him,remembering her first apprentice,Frynose.She had had a wonderful time training him and knew this time would be the same.She sat down,curled her tail around her paws and chanted the names of all the new apprentices and warriors in the meeting.

Northpaw was brimming over with happiness. She walked over to her new mentor, Dragonheart, and touched noses with him. They would both be apprentices together, her and Lightbreeze, this was wonderful, completely, and truly wonderful. I hope i get to see the rest of the RiverClan territory tomorrow, or even sooner! Why wait? Well, she could wait for now, the silver tabby was just happy that she was an apprentice, and promised herself that she would train as hard as she could to be the best warrior ever!

" It's nice to meet you, too." Snowpelt purred, walking over to sit by the other mentors.

Lightpaw casted a glance at Northpaw. " We're apprentices, Northernlights!" She mouthed, smiling. She was practically bouncing around, happy as she was.

"I know! I can't wait to train together!" mewed Northpaw in excitement. That's good, she thought, Lightbreeze doesn't seem upset about not being chosen as Lilyfeather's apprentice.

[glow=red,2,300]Dragonheart smiled at his eager apprentice. "We´ll start training first thing tomorrow!" He said, looking forwards to it. He liked Northpaw and knew she would work hard.[/glow]

[Rainpaw-Bramblepaw]

Rainpaw sat quietly at the edge of the crowd. Then she piped up casue she couldn't keep quiet anymore, "Um..Stormstar, I need a mentor still."

Frostwhisker padded to the base of the Rock, staring straight at Stormstar.
"Stormstar, if it is ok with you, I would like to train Rainpaw as an apprentice. Would that be alright?"
She smiled at Rainpaw, hoping she would accept her. She was as excited as a young kit ot be apprenticed, and she hoped to Starclan she would be a good mentor to the young cat.

[Redtail]

Rainpaw looked over surprised at Frostwhisker. She smiled over shyly then looked up her leader with hope in her eyes.

[glow=blue,4,000]"Very well," Stormstar meowed, silencing the Clan with a flick of his tail. "Frostwhisker, you are ready for an Apprentice," He yowled, "I am sure you will pass on all you know to Rainpaw. Rainpaw, you are now an official Apprentice of RiverClan."[/glow]
