Ravenkit whiskers twicthed with excitement when she heard that must of the kits will be apprentices in 2 moons just like her. She looked over at Oakkit and then at Snowpelt waiting silently for an answer.

Snowpelt thought for a bit. They needed something to do, but they were just kits, he couldn't really do anything with them. Unless..."Why don't you guys play-fight? That way, when you become apprentices, you'll be ready when you start training." He meowed.

"Play....Fight?" Icekit questioned "Snowpelt how do you play fight?" "It seems so...um...like a contradiction" The kit finished hopeing the big words he over heard older cats say would impress Snowpelt.

Snowpelt sighed. This could take a while. "Play fighting is like practicing. You keep your claws sheathed, you don't bite really hard, and you don't seriously hurt your opponent. We don't want to send any of you to Lilyfeather, now, do we?" He joked.

Shadowkit's tall twitched, and he tried to crouch like his mother had. His rump was much ti high in the air and his weight was balanced clusmsily on his front paws, so when he tried to pounce on Ravenkit, he fell on his nose, laughing and coughing in the dust. He got up and shook himself off, going on the defense.

Ravenkit got back up and smiled. She jumped out of the way when Shadowkit jumped and pounced at him. "Grrr." she said playfully.

Shadowkit sighed contentedly, but padded over to his sister. "Sahdekit/" he asked softly. "Why don't you come and play?". Shadekit looked up at him with round eyes, but then relented. Shadowkit cleared his throat. "This is Shadekit, my sister. She's gonna play with us." Without waiting for a reply, he punced playfully onto Graykit. Shadekit tentitively looked around, but then got a rush of energy and pounced onto the nearest kit, who happened to be Foamkit.

Shadowkit was growing a little more sleepy, and he pawed the ground a little. Shadekit padded over to him. She couldn't understand how they all had so much energy! Shadekit walked over to where Ravenkit was and curled up, Shadowkit following her.

Shadowkit purred softly in his sleep. His eyes flickered open to see that he was surrounded by warm, sleeping bodies. his eyelids drooped and again he was in the safety of sleep.

Oakkit watched the gathering cats and, not wanting to feel left out, joined them. She curled up and purred, brushing the warm pelts of other sleeping bodies.
