Patrol:Dragonheart,Northpaw,Snowpelt and Lightpaw

[glow=red,2,300]Dragonheart arrived ahead of the others and sat waiting for them.It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining down on his pelt making it shine.[/glow]

[Northland]

Northpaw caught up to Dragonheart, and finaly remembered what she wanted to ask him. "Um, Dragonheart..... What's a dragon?" mewed Northpaw. "Are there any dragons here?"

Dragonheart looked at his apprentice,"A dragon is a huge mythical creature which breaths fire! No it does not exist, just in stories." He said."Where are the others?" He then asked.[/glow]

[Northland]

((Because she doesn't know what one is and was curiose(sp?)))

"Oh, o.k., I was just a little curiose is all..." said Northpaw absently. Lightpaw should be here reeeeeeealy soon. Thought Northpaw hopefuly, then we can go on a real patrol together!

"The others are taking their time!"Dragonheart mewed. He sunddenly realised they could be in trouble."I hope there is nothing wrong!"He said worriedly, his eyes filling with realisation.[/glow]

[Northland]

ooc: Light&Snow are moving, but I'm not sure when... Maybe they can't get on the computer?

It's not that far from here to camp, thought Northpaw, they can't 've gotten in trouble... I hope. "Do you think we should go look for them?" asked Northpaw, beggining to get a little worried.

[glow=red,2,300]"I think we should wait a while, and if they don't come then we'll go look for them!" Dragonheart decided. "I hope they get here soon though." He looked back towards the camp, but he couldn't see them. Please let them be ok, he thought misrably (sp.).[/glow]

[Northland]

Light.... where are you? Thought Northpaw anctiously(sp?) She was finding it hard to believe that it took this long for any cat to get from camp to here. She wanted to go look for her friend now, but knew Dragonheart was right and that they should wait just a little longer.

[Nightfur and Co.]

OOC: I know, wrong account, but this is my original one and it's a habit...we got back form COlorado a few days ago, but we've been unpacking and that. I didn't move, North; I went on vacation. ^.^

BIC:

Voices drifted out from the reeds; they were high and seemed to be fighting. Whent e two were close enough, the voices could be heard.

"...not my fault we're late, Snowpelt! YOU were the one who fell asleep with Darkstorm!"

" And it isn't mine, Lightpaw! Who agreed to go out hunting with Streampaw?"

Lightpaw came out of the reeds first, her head erect and her fur a bit ruffled. Snowpelt came soon after, his emerald eyes full of fire that soon passed as the friends stopped by the deputy and his apprentice.

" Sorry we're late, Dragonheart." Lightpaw mewed hastily, glancing at Northpaw. " Somebody fell asleep. And it wasn't me this time!" She added proudly.

" Oh, hush up." Snowpelt growled softly, before meowing, " Ready to start?"

[glow=red,2,300]"Yep!" Dragonheart mewed relived(sp.), "We almost went out looking for you, you took so long!" He added smiling to himself, he was really glad they were not lost or hurt! He looked at Northpaw and hoped she hadn't been too worried for their friends. [/glow]

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

Lightpaw blinked and smiled warmly, licking her ruffled chest fur. Snowpelt and her got into fights over nothing now, and she was worried inside...worried about what would happen to their friendship, what would happen in the war, things she knew she shouldn't, but couldn't help but worry about.

Snowpelt was oblivious to all of these feelings inside his unknowing daughter. He was worried, too, but about different things- his kits, especially the one in ThunderClan; how Darkstorm was being accepted by the Clan, how long it would last; but most of all, his friendshp with Lightpaw. Like the apprentice, the warrior knew they were too agitated with each other. With an idea in mind, he meowed,

" What if we split up? Lightpaw and Northpaw go upstream, and you and I go downstream. When we get an equal distance with the Twoleg Bridge, we turn back and they'll turn back also."

[glow=red,2,300]"That makes sense." Dragonheart replied, "What do you two think?" He asked the apprentices. Then he thought about the idea, Northpaw and Lightpaw were only apprentices and they shouldn't really be on their own, and anyway he had wanted to get some training with Northpaw in."Actually, I just realized that since you are both apprentices we should mix the warriors with the apprentices, so if me and northpaw go together and Snowpelt and Lightpaw go together it would make more sense." He said, not realizing the consequences of his words. He looked back at the others. "Is that OK with you?" He then asked. He hoped they would all be happy with the arrangement, he couldn't help thinking that his decision was not the best one. He wouldn't mind the patrol to work as one in case of emergentcies(sp.)! [/glow]

[Northland]

Northpaw saw what might have been a worried look on Dragonheart's face, so she ominated another idea, "How about we all just stay together, that way Light 'n' me will have warriors with us, I'll be able to get some extra training in with Dragonheart, and we'll have the advantage of strength in numbers incase we run into some trouble." That was all true enough, but the real reason Northpaw wanted to stay as a whole group was so she wouldn't be split up from Lightpaw.

[glow=red,2,300]"Sure!" Dragonheart said, he was relived that Northpaw had seemed to read his thoughts. "We better get going now then!" He started walking along the border, the others should be close behind him. The leaves crunched under his paws and a slight breeze made the leaves all around him shudder. He felt relaxed and his worries seemed to vanish. He looked over at Sunning rocks, the sun was beating down on him making his pelt light up.[/glow]

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

Lightpaw shrugged. " Fine with me." She set off behind Dragonheart, sniffing teh air every once in a whlie and swivelling her ears. Out of the corner of her eye somehting moved; the orange tabby darted to the side and caught a grasshopper in her mouth. Snowpelt laughed.

" Did you think it was an enemy, Lightpaw?" He purred. Lightpaw stuck her tongue out at him and trotted ahead, as far away from Snowpelt as possible.

[Northland]

Northpaw smiled and ran up to Lightpaw. "Does it taste any good?" she asked. "Only I never thought to try a bug, must be very crunchy."

[glow=red,2,300]"It's good to keep your eyes open!!" Dragonheart said kindly. He looked at the river flowing beside them, it was a brilliant blue, fresh and clear. He thought he saw a fish. "Lets do a bit of fishing!" He mewed to Northpaw," I'll teach you how!" He crept to the waterside and crouched his paw at the ready, he saw a trout and quickly he caught it and put it next to him. "Now you try!" He said to Northpaw.[/glow]

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

Lightpaw nodded enthuiasticatly. " Yep, very crunchy! Though I think I may have swallowed a wing..." She coughed to dislodge it from the side of her throat, then batted away the dead insect. It wasn't worth eating. Maybe a vole later on, or a..."Fish!" Lightpaw mewed dreamily.

Snowpelt sighed and sat, watching the mentor and apprentice. His own had gone somewhere he didn't know about, and he missed the rambunctious ball of fur. His daughter saw this and nudged him with a paw.

" You can train me." She offered. Snowpelt grinned slightly.

" Thanks, but Spiritpaw was my responsibility. I should've been training her when I was with Darkstorm."

" Who can blame you? She's your mate, and you have kits; it's only natural."

[Northland]

Northpaw walked over to the river and she did try. At first Northpaw thought she had managed it to, but what she thought was a fish turned out to be a wad of algae, wich went flying into Snowpelt. "I'm, I'm, I'm really sorry Snowpelt ." the words came out very muffled, as Northpaw was torn between embaresment at hitting Snowpelt, and laughter at the site he made.

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

The algae hung off Snowpelt's ear. Some of the slime slipped off and plopped onto his nose, making him scrunch it up in disgust. Lightpaw couldn't help it-she began to roll on the ground in laughter, earning her a scowl from the white tom.

"How would you like it if you had some on you, eh?" He growled. His eyes lit up with a brillant idea. Lightpaw's eyes were screwed up in her laughter, so she didn't notice the bit of algae on her face until it landed with a 'plop' in her mouth. Surprised, she jumped up and splashed into the water, sending a school of graylings swimming. "Ew, ew, get it off my tongue!" She cried, lapping up gulps of water. Now it was Snowpelt's turn to roll on the ground, his deep chuckle rebounding off the rocks.

[glow=red,2,300]"Stop it you two." Dragonheart said although he was laughing just as much as the others. "We won't catch any fish now so we might as well move on, oh and next time Northpaw make sure you are catching a fish!" He said trying to stop him self from laughing. He then got up and went to help Lightpaw. [/glow]

[Northland]

Northpaw tried to look sorry, but it was futile. She began laughing so hard that she stagered as she went to help Lightpaw. "So, I guess it doesn't taste like fish then." chortled Northpaw.

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

"Thanks, guys!" She mewed gratefully. "Heh, you got that right, Northernlights." Lightpaw murmured her friend's nickname; the others didn't know of their friendship, how close they actually were. Their two nicknames, Lightbreeze for her and Northernlights for Northpaw, were their way of knowing that bond would never break.

The orange tabby spit out of the last of the algae and splashed onto the bank, shaking what little water had penetrated her sleek fur. Still chuckling, Snowpelt went ahead while Lightpaw stayed behind, waiting for Northpaw.

[glow=red,2,300]Dragonheart got up and went to follow Snowpelt, he didn't know the warrior well and wanted to get to know him. "We better wait for the others!" He said when he caught up with him.[/glow]

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

Snowpelt nodded silently, glancing back at his daughter. The tabby apprentice was waiting for her friend, who didn't look like she was moving any time soon.

[glow=red,2,300]"Come on Northpaw, Lightpaw, we better get going if we want to get back before nightfall!" Dragonheart joked. the sun was shinning in a clear blue sky and Dragonheart felt happy, his troubles blowing away in the light breeze. [/glow]

[Northland]

Smilling Northpaw said "Keep your fur on, I'm coming." she ran to catch up to the others.

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

"Hey, wait for me!" Lightpaw laughed, bounding after her friend. Snowpelt nudged the deputy, smiling.

"Wake up, sleepyhead." He meowed. "Or we'll be left behind next!"

[Northland]

"That's not a bad idea.... Hey, Light, lets race!" mewed Northpaw happily befor taking off at top speed.

[Nightfur and Co.]

"You're on!" Lightpaw raced after her. The wind ran through her fur, making her feel light and happy. After this, if we can shake the warriors, maybe I can visit Darky! She had met Darkpaw from ThunderClan when she and Snowpelt had gone near Fourtrees when she was a kit. She hadn't seen her friend in forever, and it would be good to see her again.

As the orange tabby came up to Northpaw, she gasped, "Let's loose 'em!" She jerked her head backwards to Dragonheart and Snowpelt. "I want you...to meet somebody...but they can't come!"
