Thornpaw walked into the tall grass she wanted to make her name feared by kits and could make a warrior tremble in fear. Thornpaw sall a small rabit she jumped at it and killed it swiftly

Phantom walked gently beside Thornpaw. He stared at her for a moment."When we defat the night, would you like to go home?' He asked suddenly.

Thornpaw thought for a second " only if you would come with me" she said shyly

[Silentclaw]

Phantom raised an eye."I will walk a dark road Thornpaw. One I wouldn't want you to decide on to early." He shook his head."Now what do you want to learn?"

Thornpaw thought for a moment "any thing is fine with me" she said happly

Phantom nodded."I'll teach you how to run down a rabbit in Windclan." He said. He expected her to groan so he added." Its harder than it seems, ecspecially since we're in enemy territory and warriors could come at any moment. Now give me your best stalking position."

Thornpaw was about to moan like phantom predicted but then thought about the windclans cats running after them.Thornpaw jumped into a ok stalking position.

[Silentclaw]

"Closer to the ground, and a bit more spread out." Phantom said quietly. The night seemed to have taken on a sinister tone, and he was suddenly conscious of every sound. " Remember your keep yourself ready to spring and move as quickly as possible."

THornpaw did as she was told

"All right," Phantom said seeing his apprentice had the stalking position down."Time for some practice." He took her around the area for ten minutes looking for a hare. He saw one."Watch me carefully," Phantom told Thornpaw then quickly went into the stalking position he'd shown her, moving quetly and quickly to his prey. The hare saw and took off, but by then Phantom was only a fox-length away and cut off the creature, killing it quickley. He again took her to another location where a hare was."Your turn," He hissed into her ear.

Thornpaw sall a rabbit after 5 minites she crowched low to the ground and placed one foot in front of the other soon she was close enuff to pownced but befor she could the hair smelt her and ran off.Thornpaw chased after it but it was too fast.Thornpaw walked back to phantom.

[Silentclaw]

"You have to move quickly and softly." Phantom said patiently."It won't hear you and by the time it sees you, your to close." He led her to another hare after twenty minutes of searching."Now try again." He said softly.

[Badgersoul]

Thornpaw once again crowch down low and softly ,steo by step, got a fox-length away She pownced on the rabbit and killed it swiftly "I DID IT" she said happly then picked up the rabbit she killed and walked over to plantom

"Very good," Phantom said."If you practice you can get stronger til you can catch a rabbit while on the run and not miss a beat." He smiled at her."Anything else you'd like to learn?"

[Badgersoul]

"more about the rouges, i want to know anout the night" Thornpaw said looking at her fett

[Silentclaw]

"Well there's not much to say." Phantom said."We were all banished from the clans or we left fot different reasons. Some believed in Starclan some didn't. Darkfur came around that time and took over. He trained them, gave them purpose and something to do. That's why the rouges loved him, he gave them a purpose. Then the Night came and took over, plotting to destroy the clans. I came than, so did you and we began plotting against her. That's all I know about the rouges." Phantom said this all quickly. He looked at her waiting fo her to ask a question.

[Badgersoul]

"so night is bad for the rouges and the clans?"

[Silentclaw]

"For some, yes." Phantom said."Though some follow her obediantly and others plot against her. Still, she's not good for us and is a plain disaster to the clans."

[Badgersoul]

Thornpaw nodded " when we do defete her will you come back to shadowclan?"

[Silentclaw]

"No," Phantom said calmly."I couldn't go back after the damage I've done. Besides it would be dull and unhappy. There is no reason to go back." The response was one that had been thought over and relized that it was the only way.

[Badgersoul]

Thornpaw looked down at her feet " my old mentor silvershadow asked me to join riverclan sence shadowclan..." Thornpaw traled off.

[Silentclaw]

"Do you want to join Riverclan?" Phantom asked her. Personaly, he was hoping she would return to Shadowclan, but as long as she was happy..

" i dont know many shadowclan cas hate me and my old mentore still ants me to be with him"

[Silentclaw]

"I dount many do," Phantom said."Moonstar loves you and her family makes up nearly everyone in that clan.' He was slightly scornful of that fact."So no one really hates you, and if any do, they warm up to you at the end of the week. Oddest thing I've ever seen. In Riverclan you have to deal with Stormstar who is a little ...oppsessed with harming or killing rouges and other clan cats. So your best bet would be with Shadowclan.' This was said plainly and bluntly.

Thornpaw still was thinking she loved her family but also her mentore and it would ba an honer to meet his mate " ohhh"

"Still, that's a while from now." Phantom said."It will be a while before we think of what we should do when the Night is dead."

[Badgersoul]

Thornpaw nodded but could not get the subject off her mind.

[Silentclaw]

Phantom saw his apprentice was troubled and decided she needed to train to get it off her mind."Thornpaw, I'm going to teach you a few basic herbs to heal yourself in case the healers are busy." He walked off quickly, not waiting for a reply as he set out to find some herbs for Thornpaw to study.

Brownpaw had been listening to the whole thing. "Stand where you are or be struck down!" Brownpaw yowled and raced after them. Blocking Phantom's way, the she-cat mewed, "Stormstar would never kill a Clan cat or Rouge. He believes in doing the best for RiverClan and defending it from harm. He did not want to kill Darkfur, merely drive my Father away!" Wondering at her sudden outburst in Stormstar's defence, Brownpaw closed her mouth, embarrassed.
