Spiderleaf hunts

Spiderleaf pads into a clearing surounded by ferns, she had just came from the medicancat's den and was still angery with Eaglefeather."Darn!" Spiderleaf said as the rabit she was stalking ran away.*Why is my head in the cloudes today?* she thought as she missed another mouse.

Spiderleaf sighed . "Today of all days I am a lousy hunter! " Spiderleaf said under her breath as she laided stretched out on the warm ground with her back to the sky and fell sound asleep.

Eaglefeather was out looking for Spiderleaf, she had run out of the medicine cat's den, and now here he was. Finally giving up, he started hunting, then when he was chasing a rabbit at super fast speed, he tripped over something, Spiderleaf!
"I am so sorry, Spiderleaf! Are you ok?" Eaglefeather helped Spiderleaf up, though he thought she probably did'nt want help.

" What are you doing here! " Spiderleaf hissed as she was helped up. She then studied his expression. " you are not welcome with me. " Spiderleaf said taking a few steps back.

Eaglefeather was confused, "What do you mean Spiderleaf?"

" Go away !" She screeched as she toke a few steps back. Somehow she thought he wasn't going to leave soon.

Eaglefeather could feel a hiss deep within his throat, but he held it back. "Spiderleaf, I don't know what you're talking about, you've been acting very weird lately." Maybe she knew that I love Fireice, he thought, maybe she's scared, but of what?

Spiderleaf heard a deep hiss coming from Eagelfeather's throet. " If you are going to fight agenst the rouges you are agenst me!!!" Spiderleaf screached as she felt her pelt prick. " You will see me leave this forest before you see me go fight in the war with YOU! " Spiderleaf said taking five more steps back.

That's what has been bothering her, he thought, she does'nt know that I'm in love with Fireice, she's just unhappy with the war. "Spiderleaf, I'm sorry. I did'nt know, Imean I knew, but it did'nt matter to me. Forgive, me. Please."

Spiderleaf thought about this for a moment *should I?* she thoguth to her self. " Why should I? " She questioned him .

Eaglefeather thought this over for a minute, "Because, you want to prove yourself to the clan, so first why not start trusting me? To have the clan trust, you have to trust the clan first, and I'm in Windclan, are'nt I?"

Spiderleaf sighed. " I wish I never joined this clan. " She mubled under her breath. She continued to try and leave but something deep within her stoped her from leaving.

"Why, don't you love the way to fight for life, to have a bigger family then it really is, the whole clan cares about you Spiderleaf." Even me? He thought, he felt sad for her.

"If you realy want to care about me, why don't you leave me alone! " Spiderleaf was not going to give up easliy. She was getting anoyed. * He is always so confedent.I wonder.........* spiderleaf thought to her self, leaving her question to herself.

"Because, a clan looks out for each other." He could feel hos voice rising, he tried to not lose it, but the attempt was fruitless. "And if you were born like a regular clan cat, maybe you would show some attempt to at least understand the Warrior code!" Wrong thing to say, the damage had already taken it's tole.

Spiderleaf emedeatly jumped at Eaglefeather and scratched his belly. " You are dead meat!!!! " Spiderlead hissed in his ear as she continued to atack.

Eaglefeather gritted his teeth together, "I should'nt be talking, 'cause I was'nt clan-born."

Spiderleaf thought for a while.*he has a point* She thought. She then got of of Eagelfeather and looked at him dummfoundly.(confused)

Eaglefeather went on, "Yeah, I know what you're thinking, 'Eaglefeather, not clan-born?!' Yep, it's as true as the sun is going to rise in the morning, I'm 100% rogue." Bowing his head in shame he mumbeled something inaudible.

" Oh and that makes it ok to hunt your own kin! " This made spiderleaf angery but also sad. She started to cry, letting the tears stain her pelt.

Eaglefeather's anger faded, he let his pelt brush against hers, "It's ok," he whispered. "It's ok."

"I ..I ...I... had no idea. " Spiderleaf said letting the warmth sepp into her pelt.

Eaglefeather's heart beated against his chest hard, really hard, he had just noticed he did not love Fireice. Yes, he loved her, but in a kinship way, he had heart for Spiderleaf. "Spiderleaf," he whispered in her ear, "I have a question for you." Even though it seemed impossible, yet his heart raced even faster.

" Ye...Yes Eagelfeather?" spiderleaf stampered. *What is he going to me* Spiderleaf thought.

"I...I...was wondering," mouse-brained fool get it over with! A voice inside his head screamed. He took a deep breath, "Spiderleaf, do you love me?"

Spiderleaf felt like she was going to faint." Oh yes Eagelfeather Yes!" Spiderleaf purred as she brushed her pelt agenst his.

Eagle felt his heart soar, he knew that he never broke his promise to his father, now he was whole, he could finally be with Spiderleaf. A purr rumbled deep within his throat, he licked Spiderleaf's ear, and whispered to her, "I love you too, my Spiderleaf." They stood there for a while unaware of the world around them.

Spiderleaf just sat there for a moment. "opisites atract.." She wispered as she licked Eagelfeather's forehead. "Odd. This morning I hated you and now..........At night I...I love you." She said as she drifted into a dream like state, only paying atention to Eaglefeather.

Eagle lifted his head to look to the apperearing star, he could imagine his parents looking down upon him, in happinesss.
