Live life to it's fullest you only have one chance at it" meowed Splinter. He wondered what had made him say this to the apprentice. For some reason he both admired and respected the apprentice. He was like others he had know and he respected him for that.

Flailpaw scoffed at the ex loner, annoyed. "Well, at least my love isn't forbidden." He growled. Then it struck him the cat probably didn't know about that code.

"I never said I was in love now did I?" hissed Splinter. He had to smile however or as best as a cat could. The young tom reminded him of Meer. So unbelieving and fierce. He shook his head to clear his thoughts.

Splinter sighed. Oh well he thought. This was just one cat who would not get along with him. What else was new. No one like him. Well there was one but she shouldn't. His own kin hated him. What was the point of trying to make friends.
