The crisp midnight sky was clear and open. There were no clouds floating. Nothing was in it except the full moon which StarClan gave.
Brownstar headed towards fourtrees with her Deputy, Rubytail, and a few Warriors: Whitetail, Gingerpelt, Blackclaw, and their newest, Darkheart. She also brought along four apprentices: Sprinklepaw, Rowanpaw, and their newest, Copperpaw and Bitterpaw.
She saw they were the first and nodded for them to begin to get settled. She had a feeling this would be a long gathering.

Brownstar nodded to the WindClan Leader. "Welcome, Silverstar," she said trying to sound older. She was the newest and youngest Leader and had great respect for Stormstar, Silverstar, and Moonstar.

Phoenixpaw slowly limped out of the bushes, her autumn-red pelt was tinted a silvery-blue in the full moonlight. Everything was bathed in a moon-dew complection. Exceitement pricked at her three feeling paws as she huddled close to Wingclaw, her mentor. The air that night was refreshing, yet very cold. The snow that layered the ground chilled her skin, even through her thick layer of fur.
Looking up to Wingclaw, the young apprentice shivered... she would have to tell him--now: Before RiverClan came. "WingClaw!" she mewed urgently, her one amber eye sparkling. "I have to tell you something." Her teal orb was motionless--the slash done to her unbron self by her aunt was more vibrent in the cold winter light. "I wasn't a loner before I came to WindClan..." she mewed half-heartedly.

Phantom went swiftly and silently to his normal hiding place amongst the trees. There he sat watching the gathering, remembering who was there and who wasn't.

Behind him were a small patrol of Flamefur, Lilyfeather, Dragonheart, Windstorm, Vixenchaser, Deathfang, Frynose, Dappleface, Sunshower, Bloodclaw, Swiftpaw and Shiningpaw. Sailing onto the HighRock, Stormstar padded across its vast top to Brownstar. "Greetings, Brownstar, I hope ThunderClan hunts well,"[/glow]

Dappleface padded happily into the clearing.She turned to her brother,"Isn't this exciting!?"She exclaimed,hardly able to contain her excitment.She glanced around the clearing at all the other cats.Her nose was greeted with a number of scents,'I'm going to have to get used to these smells' She thought.

Ebonypaw smiled as Stormstar came into the clearing. "Dad..." He whispered sadly. He padded up to Moonstar. He dipped his head to the others and meowed, " Can I talk to you Moonstar? I'll only take a minute!"

"y-you do?" she asked, bewildered. Her eye had grown huge with confuzion and slight regret that she had joined WindClan. "Stormstar can't see me..." she pressed her flank to her montor's--feeling the warmth the other she-cat gave off. "The Clan thinks I died or something... They'll hate my mother even more if RiverClan knows she gave me to 'Ollowheart." A smile danced across her firey dial, her scars siloutted in the moonlight. That was the name she had given her ex-menotr as a baby.

Stormstar nodded to Brownstar, knowing that he could count on the Leader in any crisis that could occur. A flash of orange caught his eye, and the RiverClan Leader looked down to see a WindClan Apprentice, one eye icey blue, a just-visible slash across the iris. Recognising Pheonixpaw, Stormstar stared hard at her, his eyes burning into her body. It occured to him that Windstorm must know, and he fixed his blue eyes on her, holding for a few moments before turning to Silverstar. Pheonixpaw had been a mere Kit when she went missing, and Windstorm was always disrespecting him, but the real shock was Silverstar hoarding a RiverClan Apprentice without the grace to let Stormstar know.[/glow]

Hawkpaw looked around the gathering his eyes wide with excitment, this was his first gathering. He wondered what he should do...He looked around for some other apprentices to talk to. He hoped he would be able to meet some other apprentices other than Windclan.
