Sick For Now

[Savannah&Faith]

Savannahheart felt weak all though she was not old. Hey eyes looked wore down, a layer of glass formed around a ounce, energetic looking icey-blue eyes and now helpless colored blue eyes. She stalked herself to the border where she lay down. The border smelt like clan cat scent, but it was pretty stale. She was breathing harder and harder, and had a weird feeling in her stomach. She coughed hard but her throat just seemed dry as could be. She had refused to eat for the past couple days and now she was just skinny. She coughed again. Her body felt limp for no reason and soon she fell assleep. Savannahheart knew if no one found her, her life would end. Her eyes would never open.

Winterpaw had been near her border when she caught the scent of a sick cat. She'd rushed over to find Savannahheart lying near death on the border. To Winterpaw it hadn't mattered that the cat was a rouge. She'd rushed off again and gotten some moss and after soaking it in water came back to the limp she-cat. She let the water drip into Savannheart's open mouth, hoping the she-cat would wake up.

Savannahheart opened her eyes slowly. Her icy eyes were very glassy and her body was still limp,"Who a... re... y... ou?" she manged to mumble not able to see out of her eyes clearly and so the cat looked like a blurry imadge cause a gray cloud stould between them. Her eyes were fighting to keep open and she tried to push her head off the ground but failed. She coughed again.

"Hush," Winterpaw said comfortingly. "I'm here to help you. I want you to stay awake until I get back. Can you do that?" Winterpaw bit back the slight fear that this cat would not be able to make it. She mentally pushed it away. Now was not the time for such thoughts.

Savannahheart nodded her head weakily and then fought back to keep her eyes open. She coughed again and opened her moth to say something but closed it. She wondered dearily who the cat was. Am I going to make it? Will I survive? The cat still looked like a gray cloud between them but Savannahheart knew it was just in her eyes. She smelled something very familar about this cat. The scent was stale and barly there but Savannahheart could smell it. She couldn't quet put her paw on it though.

Winterpaw nodded and ran quickly to get supplies. She first got more water, than quickly grabbed a few mouth fulls of feverfew. She put these next to Savannahheart. She than ran to collect peathingy flower petals, comfrey and echinacea. She than got a dish from the bradfords, dragging and carrying it with difficulty. She squeezed the water into it and added the correct porportion of herbs into it."Here," Winterpaw said when it was ready."Drink this." She tilted it so Savannahheart could drink it.

Savannahheart nodded and drank the herbs weakily this cat was bringing her. Again she coughed. Nothing came out, her throat seemed dry as could be. It was hard to beleive she was going to pull out of her sickness, and if she did it seemed a miracal. "T...han...k y... ou." she manadged to mumble and then couged dring saying it. Her eyes seemed to open much easier, but the glasss was still formed over them, she coughed again.

Winterpaw hoped this would help a bit. "Now I'm going to take you to a camp. Is there a certain place you'd rather go?"

"No..." she throw in."A...ny...whe...re..." she coughed in between her words. Her eyes could see the cat a little better, but it seemed to still have a blurry imagde. She weakily looked around and then tried to get up. Savannahheart hated to be carried,"I... ca...n...walk." She got up on her paws finally then looked at the cat as to ask where they would be going.

Winterpaw wondered the same thing. She decided in the end to take her to the rouge camp. Winterpaw wasn't sure how Silverstar would react to a rouge in their camp. "We're going to the rouge camp,' She said, hoping Savannahheart would know the way.

Strolling confidently through the Rouge territory, Naji scented Savanahheart. He had briefly met her when she was a very young Warrior. Darkfur had been with her. Darkfur's scent was absent from the surrounding forest, whereas Savannahheart's scent had been pretty strong throughout the terra. Spotting a spotted huddle on the floor, obviously being tended to by an Apprentice, Naji padded forward and announced his precense. "Hello, Rouges, where is Darkfur?"

Savannahheart looked at the white, blurry, strong cat that she met along time ago,"H...e's...de..ad." she gulped out as she fell down on the ground and started closing her eyes again, fighting to keep them open. They closed again. Moments passed by, she fell asleep again.

Thornpaw was walking thinking about how kind Darkfur was then she smelt naji she ran over by savannahheart "You stay away from her"Hissed thornpaw still thinking Savannahheart was THE greatest cat on the face of this earth.Thornpaw claws dug into the earth .

"Dead?" Naji hissed. The cat he had trained for a long time was gone from this earth? Naji closed his amber eyes in rememberance of Darkfur. He had watched the tom since he was the eager young Apprentice. Then on to be a Warrior where he had first spoken to the cat. And when Darkfur was ready, Naji had coached him in the ways of his own Ancestors, the ways that a true cat should follow, not some up-themselves Clan religion.

Opening his eyes, Naji spotted Thornpaw. Naji pointedly ignored the Apprentice and turned to Savannahheart. The Warrior did not look good. Her symptons were nagging at him, the disease he knew from so long ago. Then it struck him. The disease had wiped out most of Naji's family, his Mother, Nagini, his Brother, Cha, his Mate and Kit- No, he wasn't going to remember them.

Stepping forward, Naji rapped out orders. "Savannahheart has a disease that struck down my Mother and Brother. It is called White Death and the symptons are all over this Rouge," Turning to Winterpaw, who was obviously a Medicine Cat Apprentice, "No Clan Medicine can help her, only what I taught Darkfur a long time ago could help. Help me take her back to the Rouge Camp."

Winterpaw didn't trust the white cat but knew he could help Savannahheart, so she was willing to work with him for now. Besides, she could learn how to cure this sickness."Alright." She said waiting for Naji to give her instructions to move this cat.

The usded to be strong warroir, was feeling weakier and weakier every moment. Not aware of anything that was being said, she breathed helplessily.
