Welcomed or Exiled?

[glow=blue,1,000]Fireice felt just like Tanshadow when he confronted Brownstar about their relationship. The back of her throat felt like cotten, her pelt was prickling intensly, and paniked thoughts flew in and out of her mind. What if Dogstar respond's just like Brownstar? Will I have to raise any kits that I will have outside of a Clan? Is this going to be the last I see of my beloved ShadowClan camp? Fireice gulped, this wasn't like her too be all upset and shy, but the encounter with Brownstar had shaken her a little. "Um...Dogstar? There is something I have to talk to you about. Also, there's a ThunderClan warrior with me." Fireice looked at Tanshadow. "Whatever happens, I will stay by your side." Fireice blinked back tears and waited for Dogstar to answer.[/glow]

Dogstar appeared at the entrance. "Come in there!" He sniffed the air... there was something else there.. ThunderClan. "I smell a ThunderClan cat, say, is he with you?" His eyes were strong, but not hurtful. "Brining another Clan cat is not exactly 'to the warrior code,'" he pointed out.

[glow=blue,1,000]Fireice slowly nodded. "Yes, he is with me, Dogstar. And I know that is against the warrior code, I'm sorry." She hung her head with embarassment and waited for the uproar. Fireice's heart was beating with fear and sweat was breaking out under her black, white, and orange pelt.[/color][/glow]

'Well, explain yourself," he said, not telling, but sternly speaking. He was always loyal to the Warrior code, but he would not punish the cat without hearing her side. "Be quick, I'm not very tolerate of cats that disobey." His tail lashed from side to side, not happy with the thought of one of his cats disobeying. But even he had disobeyed at times.

Tanshadow sat down a few feet behind Fireice, his eyes focused on the ground. Now he knew how Fireice must have felt when he confronted Brownstar. He glanced up, hoping that Dogstar would be more tolerant than Brownstar.

"Give me a reason I shouldn't feel love...

[glow=blue,1,000]Fireice gulped, can I go through with this? Fireice pushed the thought away and spoke now, more determindly and boldly. "I, I'm in love with this cat, Dogstar. And I want him to stay in ThunderClan. Please, you must have mercy on him, Brownstar threatened to kill him if she ever saw him on ThunderClan territory again." Her eyes then focused unseeingly on the ground. "I know that is against the warrior code, and I wouldn't be asking so much of you if I wasn't..." she closed her eyes with sadness. "...if I wasn't madly in love with Tanshadow."[/color][/glow]

Dogstar looked at the cats sympathericly. He knew how it was to be in love and not want to lose someone. He had Curlyfur.. but she had passed away some time ago. "Brownstar threatened to kill him?" He laughed, trying not to, but he couldn't help it. The two of them had been good friends. She had been a bad warrior herself, always breaking codes and coming into the territory of ShadowClan. "Brownstar has threatened to kill most cats, but she won't. She cast Sprinklestorm out of TC, only to name her Deputy a few moons later. As for him staying, I will talk to the others. He may not be welcome, but for now, he can stay until we talk about it more."

Tanshadow stepped up to Fireice and nuzzled her, purring. "Thank you," he said looking at Dogstar, even though it was not decided yet, it was one step closer than they had come with Brownstar.

"Something waits for everyone, you may not understand...

[glow=blue,1,000]Fireice smiled weakly and felt like she just wanted to embrace Dogstar. "Thanks you, Dogstar! Thank you!" Do you want me to show him where he will sleep?" Fireice felt so carefree now, her spirits were soaring with Dogstar's kindness. "You are so kind, Dogstar! Many thanks." She respectfully bowed her head to him.[/glow]

"...I cannot telll. But it is the purity of forgiveness."

"I haven't accepted him yet, and don't get your hopes up," he warned. "It will be considered by the Deputy and Medicine cat. And he will sleep in the guest area, near the Medicine Cat den. The warriors den is only for ShadowClan.. I don't want Warriors getting angry. Let's try and soften them up." He winked, smiling widely.

[glow=blue,1,000]Fireice returned the smile and dipped her head sheepishly. "I'm sorry. I got too excited, Dogstar." Fireice flicked her tail at Tanshadow and she led him to the vacant area next to the Medicine cat's den. "Here's where you'll sleep, Tanshadow. Bless his soul, Dogstar. We're lucky enough that he's letting you stay until the situation is absolute." Fireice clawed at some moss that was clinging to a tree nearby and made a little nest for Tanshadow. "There you have it, Tanshadow." Fireice's belly growled loudly and she smiled sheepishly. "I'm going to go get something from the fresh-kill pile, you want me to get you something?"[/glow]

"Sure, that would be fine," Tanshadow said, smiling as he sat down beside his nest. He couldn't even believe that they had gotten this far. Even though it wasn't totally decided, Tanshadow knew that whatever happened, he love Fireice and she loved him, that's what mattered.

[glow=blue,1,000]Fireice flashed a toothy smile at Tanshadow and bounded off towards the fresh-kill. She picked up the topmost thing on the pile, a frog. And picked another one for Tanshadow. Hmmmm. Maybe his stomach wouldn't approve. Fireice dropped the frog and picked up a swallow. Good enough. Tanshadow should try a frog one day, if he will stay in ShadowClan. Fireice brought the fresh-kill to Tanshadow and dropped the swallow at his paws. "There you have it, a ShadowClan swallow. I thought that you could have tried a frog out, but something told me that your stomach wouldn't approve." She bit into the frog's rubber-like skin, the unique taste seeping into her mouth. Fireice turned to see Tanshadow eating away at his morsel. "I'm guessing it's good," she said with a purr.[/color][/glow]

Tanshadow took a bite waryily. He chewed slowly before swallowing and nodded. "This is good!" He tucked in, finishing the swallow in a couple gulps. "I never thought you could actually have good food in Shadowclan, no offense." He smiled. "Thunderclan never really liked Shadowclan as you know, we had a lot of rumors about you...."

Two she-cats tore into the center of the camp, giggling, pieces of fresh kill in their mouths. The bigger of the two trotted over to the fresh kill pile and dropped large toad in, while the other padded after her friend, catching her breath. The silky furred apprentice placed her prey on top of the pile, but as soon as her senses had cleared of the smell of mouse, she whipped around, scenting something else. Her bushy chocolate tail twitched back and forth and she started to say something, but her tiger striped friend had already noticed...

The light brown Maine Coon was the first to say something. "ThunderClan? What is ThunderClan scum doing right in the middle of our camp?! Lattépaw demanded loudly, outraged. Her voice carried, attracting the attention of other ShadowClan cats. She was a complete ShadowClan pureblood, snobby of her heritage and condescending to other Clans, and even to cats in her Clan who were kittypets, loners, rogues, or came from other Clans. This, and other things, made her incredibly loyal. Latté`s beautiful amber eyes were glaring fiercely and her soft dark chocolate striped fur was ruffled.

Big, bright green orbs stared in a mixture of defiance, confusion, curiosity and loneliness at this strange pale ThunderClan tom. Ivypaw had been a loner before she`d come to ShadowClan, so she knew how it felt to be shunned, especially by Lattépaw. It was odd, but lucky that they`d somehow ended up as best friends. The warrior sized apprentice did still feel some loyalty to her new Clan, though, and wondered what in the name of StarClan this warrior was doing in her now familiar territory. She stepped up behind Latté, looming above them with her size. In a strange way, Ivy was still beautiful, though muscular. "Fireice, what are you doing eating with the likes of him?" She asked stonily, looking at Fireice pointedly.

Tanshadow flattened his ears and his gaze went to his paws at the apprentice's harsh words. Already things weren't looking good, but he could take any comments, he would take them. He wanted to be with Fireice and that's what mattered. Besides, it wasn't these apprentice's desicion whether he stayed or not. That was up to Dogstar.

[glow=blue,1,000]Fireice looked up, hearing three cats' voices. Her tail lashed, showing her impatience. Sheesh! Can't anyone ever get any quiet around here?! She stood up, towering over Lattepaw. Taking in a deep breath to calm herself down, Fireice spoke. "Tanshadow is not a ThunderClan cat anymore. He is my mate. And soon, Dogstar will tell us whether he stays or not." Her voice was calm, but her gaze was cold and intense, daring the apprentices to say anything insulting. "I know it is not the ways of ShadowClan, but I will leave if Tanshadow is not welcomed." Fireice tensed, waiting for the apprentices' response.[/glow]
