//A Coal In The Shadows//

Coalpaw's tan and black striped tabby pelt blended in with his surroundings. The long white whiskers that protruded from his face brushed some of the thick fern stems adorning the soft ground. He placed paw after paw on the ground and followed some path unknown to him, just stolling.

"well, I wonder what wonders bestow at the end of this trail." He almost sighed out. The apprentice had no mentor and was tired of walking around aimlessly.

A rustle came from the bushes behind him. Coalpaw simply whisked around and stood rigid, whiskers twitching slightly. "Hello?" he called into the darkness, orbs shining through tiny slits.

Stormingpaw's face recoiled back into the bushes. She hadn't been spying meerly, wandering around. She blushed her whiskers twitched. She had reconized the apprentice, his name was Coalpaw.

Flailpaw tried to hide his laughter that was building up inside him. He'd followed one of the apprentices, Coalpaw, all the way from camp, and was about to spring out of the bushes and scare him. Tensing his muscles, Flailpaw prepared himself to jump out.
"Rawr!" He yowled, hopping forward and landing on the dusty ground. A cloud of the fine powder rose up around him, and it settled to reveal his face, full of delight.

Coalpaw jumped back, his black and tan colored fur puffed up. His claws slowly slid back into his paws, and his scared orbs returned calm. "you scared me!" Her meowed grinning. The tabby apprentice's tail twitched back and forth. "But that means I will have to get you back!" He said flashing and joking eye.

Stormingpaw looked a little lost but laughed a little as Flailpaw tackled Coalpaw. She hardly ever laughed and came out into the open. "Hi" she mewed uncerntantly.

((Okies does it matter if shes suicidal?))

Flailpaw grinned, nudging Coalpaw with his shoulder.
"Let's go hunting!" He mewed suddenly, still energetic and pumped after the bushes jumping scandal. He turned his head to the pretty she cat.
"Hi! I'm Flailpaw! Want to hunt? If I knew where Crowpaw was I'd ask her, but she's not around sometimes." His face darkened. "She's being trained by Dogstar." He spat. Then his face brightened. "So let's hunt!"

"I know, I guess you just haven't noticed me before. I'm Stormingpaw and I'd like to go hunting." she meowed smiling. The damp marshy wind ruffling her matted fur.
