Meeting Him (Splinter)

[Frostwing :)]

Emberheart walked through the tall grass her fur blending into her surroundings not very well. A cat in a clearing startled her, "Who are you?" she meowed to the other cat.

Splinter was startled. "Oh hello" he meowed. "Who are you?" he asked. He was not about to tell this Windclan cat that who he was because he was now a Shadowclanner.

[Frostwing :)]

"I'm Emberheart, and whats your name I haven't seen you around here at all?" Ember walked up to the Tom, studing his pelt, it was red and black and his ears were yellow. What an odd color combination she thought.

Splinter shrugged uncomfortably as the she cat studied him. He twitched his yellow ears uncomfortably. "I am Splinter you probably haven't seen me around since I am a Shadowclanner" he meowed. To himself he thought almost.

Ember's fur bristled and she hissed "why are you in our terratory?"

"Well I used to be a loner. I am not used to clan borders and I havent really learned the warrior code" meowed Splinter.

[Frostwing :)]

Emberheart let her fur down, "I saw you with another loner she-cat once." she mewed stepping closer trying to get a better look at the tom for scratches and scars.

"Yes she was my mate Meer" he meowed. "We are not together anymore she had my kits and left me" meowed Splinter.

[Frostwing :)]

Emberheart nodded and dipped her head showing a mutual feeling towards Splinter.

"So what do you do during your spare time?" asked Splinter.

[Frostwing :)]

"I talk to Shadowstone were friends through and through even with our rough spots, he lost 2 kits, Yarrowkit his mates first kit not his kit and 1 kit of their first litter" Ember didn't know why she was telling her this but she did any ways.

Splinter nodded. "He is the foster father of my sisters daughter" meowed Splinter.

[Frostwing :)]

"Yes, Drizzlekit is very pretty, but he now has alot to take care of 6 kits I think"

"Meer took back her kits. Now Sunset only has Drizzle and her two kits to take care of" meowed Splinter. He looked at the beautiful she cat. He sighed. He felt the love again and tried to force it down. He knew there was no hope. He was utterly and completly in love.

"I didn't notice that I haven't seen Shadowstone's kits yet and I still thought he had all those foster kits too, see me and Shadowstone got into a fight about Yarrowkit and he stalked off and finished the dog that killed her then came back with bandages all over him from some ShadowClan cat that had helped him. And I haven't seen him since." she sighed and looked at Splinter, how easy it was to fall in love for Ember, she felt twitchy just being with the tom.

Since Splinter was usually an uncaring cat when he fell in love it was complete. However since he had joined Shadowclan he knew at least that he wasn't supposed to fall in love with a cat from a different clan. Yet for some reason he felt drawn to the she cat. He wondered briefly if she had a mate. "My sister Goldenpaw died from love did you know her?" he meowed. He felt uncomfortable discussing his family since for so long he had hated them. Ever since Goldenpaw had died however he had begun needing family. "I should warn you about something though. I have a split personality. There is me and Thorn. Thorn is evil. He has no guilt and no emotions. He was free for awhile but Meer helped send him back."

[Frostwing :)]

Ember lifted her head, "Yes I did know her... briefly, Thorn?" she mewed in wonder at the Thorn part of Splinter's words. She stared into his with her frost colored eyes, the wind ruffled her dark brown white streaked fur.

"Thorn he only comes out when I am very angry or very sad. I tried to control him but I was weakened with grief for Goldenpaw, Meer, and my kits when he came back" meowed Splinter. "Emberheart I should go my clan will be waiting and I don't want to get in trouble on my first day." Yet he made no movement.

Ember looked puzzled only for a moment and dipped her head "Well my clan should be missing me too" she mewed looking at Splinter who looked frozen to the ground. She picked up a paw and slowly turned away.

Splinter turned around. Tears fell from his eyes and froze before they fell.

Ember looked at the tom "Hey, I-I hope we see each other again soon." she mewed blushing.

[goldentail]

"Yes me too" meowed Splinter. He walked over the border.

Ember awent back to the camp, looking back as she went.
