Meer was barely alive now. Her tail was down in the dust, and her body had pale shallowr ising of her abdomen as she breathed gently. "I hate living. I hate everything about it" She breathed in a rattled gasp.

Goldenpaw began to sing again trying to lull Meer to sleep. She had to have Meer have her kits before she died.

"Oh wow lynxkit I'm very proud...goldenpaw is my best friend, she's from windclan, and now joined starclan, her daughter is around your age, and you two can be best friends like she and I where" she meowed licking her daughter's small head.
lynxkit looked shocked and smiled back at goldenpaw and nodded, her tiny neck making her head wabble.

Meer was alert to everything. She was tired of being here everything about GOldenpaw reminded her of SPlinter, and the more she thought about it, the more her heart seemed to just... shatter.

Meer growled. "I'm not tired leave me alone. You" She flicked her tail to Splinter. "You're going ot die, so go away so I wont have to see it" She turned her attention to Goldenpaw. "I'm not freaking tired!"

"Really watch this" he muttered. He unsteathed a claw. He plunged it close to his heart. "See not dead' he meowed. "Want to know why? Because Starclan decided to make you have pain. I don't know why I have tried to kill me every day so that Starclan is wrong but no that isn't allowed."

Meer hissed at nothing in particular, just a hiss. "I don't understand anything." SHe lifted herself off the ground, strainging with effort. "I'm gonig to leave this forest whenever Shard is ready. I will be leaving my kits with a friend" sHe mewed.

Sunset trotted up the hill, she had left little drizzlekit with badgerpaw, she was trying to find meer, she parted her mouth, and sucked in the fresh scent of the loner. "Meer?" she meowed running up to the faint body.

Meer shook her head. "Isn't it obvious? Splinter's going to die, and I'll be all alone." Meer hated to sound so selfish, but it was true. She couldn't even provide for her kits, her milk was dried up because of her undernoursihment.

Sunset licked meer's tears, "your never alone, meer I am always here for you no matter what, I think it would be best if you stayed with me.......being alone with four kits is going to be very hard you with no milk, and going to be a single mother, is a serious matter, and when splinter's time comes, you will be in more pain, and will need someone like a mother" she meowed and looked at meer's growing stomach.
