Summer Breezes

[Meerful]

A small lithe dark coloured tom was lying in a perfectly circular patch of wild flowers that filled a large meadow. Each little petal of every petite flower flowed rhythmically in the soft winds. Beautiful fragrants wafted into the air from them, but the tom could not smell them, in fact, he couldn't smell much at all. So he sat theres, jaws open, taking in the delicious scent, tasting it as though he really could smell them.

His one front paw was tucked underneath him in a neat and orderly fashion while the rest of his body was sprawled out in the flowers, alsmot burying him in them. Little puckers of pink, purple, light blue, buttery yellow, and white fluttered around him. His one eye was closed, and he had a look of pure contentment on his face, but it was missing something...

The tortoiseshell form of Sakura blended in very well with the multiple colored wildflowers. Her blue eye and gray eye glinted mischeviously as she saw the dark-colored tom laying in the wildflowers. Sakura stalked forward as if she was hunting. The petals of the wildflowers brushed against her smoothly, almost tickling her. Just as she was about a tail-length away from the cat she pounced, landind a whisker in front of him.

"Hey" She purred.

The tom opened his eye in suprise, his fur ruffling, but he stayed where he was. A crooked grin spread across his face, a purr rumbling in his chest. He licked his chest fur flat, and let the rest of his fur fall flat as well. The tom stretched his paw out from underneath him and gracefully pulled himself to his haunches, his eye gleaming.

"Hey Sakura, I almost can't see you among these flowers, if it wasn't for your beautiful eyes, I don't know what I'd do." He joked.

Sakura laughed, standing up as well. The wildflowers surrounding them were blown by a gentle breeze, brushing against them. It felt good. The scent of the flowers told Sakura one thing. Summer was near. Sakura couldn't help but purr.

"Beautiful day isn't it?" She mewed looking up to they sky. No clouds were in sight. Just the same beautiful shade of blue.

Niche nodded to her, scooting a little closer to her. He let the warm breezes blow over him, and through his fur. He opened his mouth to taste them, and the sweet scent of the wild flowers. Carefully, he plucked on out of the ground, a beautiful little butter cup shaped one that was white with a delicate lavender trim.

"It is, but it's not nearly as beautiful to me as you are, in fact, in comparison, the day is kind of dreary." He whispered to her, placing the flower on her front paws.

Sakura purred and pressed against Niche. The flower at her paws was so beautiful.

"Definitely" She whispered "We are more beautiful than this day, and any other day"

Sakura gave Niche a lick on the ear. Sakura purred deeply.

[Meerful]

Niche purred even louder. He twined his tail with Sakura's and licked her ear.

"Before you, I may have thought the simplest things were beautifu, like a sunset or sunrise, the trees being covered in iridescent crystals of ice reflecting little prisms, or even that flowers were beautiful. I must have been dangerously off balance with that one though, because I've never known beauty until I met you" Niche whispered in her ear, giving it another long drawn out lick.

Sakura purred deeply. She closed her eyes, not wanting the moment to end.

"I love you" She whispered, keeping her eyes gently closed.

[Meerful]

Niche nodded, his voice catching in his throat with emotion.

"I love you too" He choked out. His purr almost made it hard to speak.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura purred. She opened her eyes, and looked down on the flower at her paws. It felt smooth to the touch, and the scent was amazing. She had to purr again. Her pelt gleamed and eyes shined.

[Meerful]

Niche stepped back, and just stared at Sakura. She looked amazing. Her fur was almost identical to the waving flowers, yet touched with golden warmth by the sun. Her eyes were filled with love, and Niche felt his paws tingle, and thought about how lucky he was. Nothing in the world would compare to her- Nothing.

"Sakura... You're so beautiful and sweet and kind and you have an amazing personality. How can I ever be good enough for you? Me and my disabilities, you nad your perfection. Will I ever be enough?" Niche asked, a bit of worry in his tone.

Sakura stared at him like he was crazy.

"You always have been enough for me, and always will be" She mewed "It doesn't matter that you have a disability"

[Meerful]

"Make that many" He mewed to her, humor in his voice again. Even though he was very disabled, it never showed. Niche gazed at Sakura, incredulous at how kind fate had been to him. Missing his hearing, his eye, his leg, and his nose seemed like a small price to pay for the love he had now.

"Even knowing, you seem too good for me, so let's fix that" Niche grinned, pouncing at her,

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura side-stepped but Niche's paw tripped her. She landed on the ground with a soft thud and quickly got to her feet. She purred and turned to face Niche.

[Meerful]

Niche grinned at her, his fangs hanging out in their own odd dissaray.

"There, now we're even." He mewed to her. He padded over to her, and lied down in the flowers again, lettin the sun warm his fur.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura laid down with him, the rays of the sun were reflecting off the flowers, making them shine with unbelievable beauty. Sakura sighed, content. She closed her eyes, nearly falling asleep. Only to wake up with a short breeze.

[Meerful]

Niche looked at Sakura, curiosity winning him over.

"Sakura, why were you so uncomfortable around Fall?" He mewed.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura slightly flinched, and looked away.

"I was being stupid" She muttered. No, I was being a jealous idiot she thought to herself.

[Meerful]

Niche saw Sakura flinch away, and he knew that if he didn't figure out he'd stay awake at nights pondering.

"C'mon, tell me. I tell you everything, return the favor" He joked ,trying to make her feel less... Flinchy.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura sighed.

"I dont know why... I was just... oh its stupid!" She mewed. She desperately wanted to tell Niche. She knew he told her everything, but she was nervous now.

[Meerful]

Niche started to frown.

"If you don't tell me, I'll assume it's something even worse" He mewed dangerously.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

"Fine" She mewed. She looked away again.

"I was afraid... I was jealous... I was just being an idiot" She growled. Sakura kept her gaze away, fearful of what might happen.

[Meerful]

Niche raised an eyebrow, grinning. Then he burst out laughing.

"What could you possibly be jealous of? A red eyed white cat who can't even say her own name? Trust me Sakura, you're the only cat for me. You have no reason to be jealous of anyone" He purred to her, laughter in his tone.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura purred a little bit.

"Like I said, I was being an idiot" She mewed, a hint of laughter in her tone.

"You're right" She mewed "But like I've said about a million times I was being an idiot."

Suddenly her voice grew serious.

"I just dont want to lose you" She mewed.

[Meerful]

Niche bowed his head.

"You'll never lose me, unless I die, but we'll not focus on that." Niche purred.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura nodded, slightly relived. She didn't exactly want to get on the topic of death.

"Well, what do you wanna do?" She mewed.

[Meerful]

Niche shrugged.

"Whatever suits you." He mewed.

Sakura shrugged. Personally, it didn't matter what they did. She was up for anything.

"Doesn't matter to me" She mewed "You decide"

[Meerful]

Niche pursed his lips.

"Why do I have to, you're a girl, you have ideas and stuff." Niche grumbled. He smiled at Sakura and lightly bit her ear, but then his bite turned into an affectionate lick.

Sakura purred. She gave Niche a quick lick on the cheek.

"Well I'm up for anything" She mewed "Hunting, racing, swimming, adder-hunting, anything"
