Plot Description:
Pumpkinpaw is a tom who is impressed by the Twolegs--or humans as he calls them--and knows almost everything about them. He knows everything from their language all the way down to what a microwave oven is. [LOL!] But he's upset because no one cares to know and thinks he's insane. But the persistent apprentice won't rest. After the failure to make Redpaw understand, the tom talks with Wingpaw and her brother. He hits his target this time. Wingpaw is quite fascinated and wants to learn more and goes off more and more with Pumpkinpaw. Her brother, Bronzepaw, doesn't know what to think and eventually becomes worried for the good of his sister. Will the humans take her away? and force her to become a kittypet?
On the other side of this coin, a warrior who respects the warrior code greatly is enraged by this youth's philosophies. How dare a cat as young as he go against the ways of StarClan? The warrior goes to Brownstar and tells her of what is happening among the apprentices. Since our greatly loved ThunderClan leader is going downhill, she shrugs it off. But her warrior insists and she talks to Pumpkinpaw. He tells her he means no harm and the matter is settled. But the paranoid warrior can't shake off the feeling something is going wrong and continues to press the matter. Many of the apprentices and some of the warriors take sides with Pumpkinpaw and delve into his ideas, also. While most of the other warriors, including the deputy, take the warrior's side. ThunderClan is split into two all because of one cat's opinions.
