Gingerkit shook the dead leaves off of her orange tabby pelt, she gave her shoulder a wuick lick, she walked slowly over to the bank, and sat down. |

Gingerkit sat straight up, and looked at flightpaw, "Okay, first of all you can't slump...fish like good proper stance" she gave alittle laugh, "Then you raise you paw" she mewed as she slowly raised her paw, into the air, and her tail slowy stopped twitching with anticipation, "You have to be real quiet, and be very patient..." she whiserped and trailed off, as a small stream fish swam up. |

Flightpaw nodded and copied Gingerkit's stance. A small fish swam by and he swiped his paw down, only yo miss and fell in. Flightpaw scrambled back up onto the shore and coughed.
"Ok, that was hard" he joked shaking water onto Gingerkit.

Gingerkit laughed, "Be patient, watch" she mewed, as she went completely still, and looked like a statue, she held her paw up high in the air, until a huge river trout same close to the bank, gingerkit came with little movement, and *BAM* she swiped the huge fish up with one paw, and bit down near the gills, and killed it, she set it down beside flightpaw, "Learn patience, and try to find the best place to get you claws under the fish, I like the gills because it has friction" she mewed. |

"Nice" Flightpaw purred. Now it was his turn. A small silvery fish swam by and he gently raised his paw. With a massive swipe he brought the fish up and purred in satisfaction.

"Er- ok" Flightpaw mewed. He was nervous, but determined not to show it to Gingerkit. He put one paw in the water but cried out in shock.

"It's okay, the water isn't going to hurt you" she joked, as she got wading high water, "Now when you get the water, don't get deep, just up to your elbows, and jump up, and paddle with your paws" she mewed. |
