The Flame and The Feather[Privite]

Darkness fell across the reed coverd grounds of Riverclan.
The warm air blew softly over the lands and the stars twinkled with pleasure.
Everything seemed to be silent, as if the whole world had fallen asleep.
The owls didn't hoot there playful calls nor did the crickets chirp the beautiful song.
All that could be herd was the guzzling of water and the soft steps of a young Tom,
Firepaw.

Firepaw pushed his way threw a reed, he was following the river to were the border of Thunderclan and Riverclan.
Firepaw hated being alone, and sometimes would wish that another cat from Thunderclan would visit him on his nightly walk.
Yet of corse his wishes never came true. He would always be alone, always.
Firepaw sighed softly and sat down in the shallow water.
Then stared up at the sky, he closed his eyes and wished for someone to love him.

Stepping softly, Featherkit followed the red tom. She was just as old as he was, but he was an apprentice. She spat everytime she thought of him. She resente the fact that she was still just a kit, and envied him greatly. She couldn't stand him! He was so hot headed and smart aleck... Yet she felt compelled to stare at him, to follow him, even think of him and dream about him.

Why are you doing this? You should be at camp telling on him! Featherkit's inner voice hissed. 'Well, that's a plan, but I'm no tattle tale. Besides, he's just out. Shouldn't I have a reason to tell? She argued Who cares? Just tell because you can! It hissed back. 'Um no. Besides, it's sad to get in a fight with yourself and lose, so I'm just going to stay put.' Featherkit thought firmly.

Firepaw twisted around, hopping to see the beautiful Blue cat of Thunderclan that he had a huge crush on sence forever.
His eyes where still closed but he could already imagion her beautiful blue eyes and her beautiful blue pelt.
Shinny like the night sky
. He imagioned her long slender tail and small little paws.
Slowly Firepaw opened his eyes.



"FEATHERPAW!?! What the- Starclan is this a joke" he hissed to the heavens ashe glared at the kit.

[Meerful]

Featherkit jumped back, startled. Wow, he was angry! Featherkit felt a few heartbeats of fear then her fave grew stern. How dare he yell at her! Featherkit hissed under her breath angrily and advanced towards the tom. Her silky fur fluffling outwards in anger and the few seconds of fear.

"It's Featherkit!" SHe seethed through gritted teeth. "And what are you doing out here, huh? I can tell on you, you know. Not that I will, but I still could. You should treat she-cats with more respcet! And what are you doing so close to the Thunderclan border? What if a night patrol found you? You'd be a little scrap of meat comparedto them!" Featherkit ranted, pacing and hissing and spitting.

'What do you meen tell on me!! I am still on our side of the river you stupid clanner!!" he yowled forgetting that he himself was a clanner now. "Plus a kit isn't aloud to go out of camp, period. So I could tell on YOU!" he mocked. wrinkling his nose as if he had eatten crow food.

//Actually, she becamed an apprentice.//

Featherkit huffed, grinning wickedly, but also taken back by the tom. He called her a clanner!
"You know what, you're a clanner too now! That's right, so shut your stupid mouth up! Besides, I'll just tell them you took me out here and told me there was a Thunderclan cat you wanted me to meet." Featherkit said smartly, tossing her head angrily.

"Your a stupid lier you know that!!" hissed Firepaw. He was turning slightly red under his pelt, "If all you wanted to do was to get me in trouble- you could have done it earilier!" he hissed

Featherkit growled at him, her fur fluffing up as much as it could, until she felt like it might fall off in a pile and she'd become a scary hairless cat.
"You're a jurk Firepaw! I hate you! I never want to see your face again! I hope you die of rabies!" She hissed, spitting after every sentence. Her claws unsheathed, tiny, but still sharp, and her tongue swiped across her milk teeth. She would never hurt him, but she could try to be intimidating.

Firepaw was surprised at how mad he made Featherkit,
yet of corse his subborness wasn't about to let him say sorry to the she-cat.
"If you hate me so much why are you stalking me, huh?" he asked.
Firepaw puffed out his cheast, not to look bigger but to look prouder.
To show he wasn't afraid. HIs tail swished back and forth,
and his eyes seemed to be mocking everything Featherkit did.

Featherpaw hissed angrily, tears threatening to break through, but she wouldn't let them, and she wasn't going to show it. "Well, I don't know, when a cat walks out of camp in the midst of night, you tend to wonder what they're doing! Are you here to meet someone? Maybe even a she-cat?" She said tauntingly. "Or! You fell in looooove didn't you? Firepaw's in love! Firepaw's in love! Firepaw's a traitor in loooove!" Featherkit chanted, mocking him. She pursed her lips and gave him a, 'pshhh, I'm everything you are and a bag of potato chips' look.

Firepaw looked away, he knew he hurt her feelings this time. He pressed his ears flat, and curled his tail around his back leg. "yea I did" he said softly. His voice howerver changed from his mean little play it cool voice. To depressed. Firepaw closed his eyes, "Please, Don't tell anyone" he said softly. This was complety weird for something like Firepaw to do. Eveyone knew him as the firey temper sorta guy, not the please don't tell. SOrta guy.

Featherpaw was about to retort with a snide comment, but his words caught her off guard.
"Say what?" She mewed, completely confused. "Who're you in love with?" Inside she felt a tweak in her heart, she didn't know why, so she ignored it and the feeling of jealousy, although she had no idea what jealousy was.

Firepaw stared over the river and closed his eyes. He remeberd the beautiful blue shecat with her beautiful eyes and small paws. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. "Her name is Bluepaw" he whisperd

Featherpaw felt the bubbling vicious anger in her stomach again, and felt the need to shred this she cat's ears. Why? What was wrong with her?
"Oh. Well... I think my mentor is cute, so we're sorta in the same situation, huh?" Featherpaw mewed awkwardly.

Firepaw seemed depressed, "no... she hates me. Tonight we were going to meet again... plus I was born a rouge. No she-cat will ever like me" he whisperd Firepaw closed his eyes then turned around to stare at Featherkit, "Why in all of Starclan's name am I telling you this!" he hissed. Tears filling his eyes. "You are the one she-cat that hates me the most"

Featherpaw walked up to Firepaw and rested the tip of her tail on his shoulder.
"I don't hate you, I think you're funny and kind of cute when you're angry, and I think there should be love for everyone, even if it's the one cat you least expected." She whispered. It was always like her to spill her thought and regret it about five minutes later.

Firepaw's eyes soften, "R-Really?" he aske.d SUddenly he noticed a changed in the she-cat. HEr pelt seemed more glossy, her frame looked skinner. HEr eyes twinkled like the stars. What was happen you ask? Well my friend it is a little thing called love[ lol had to do that]. Firepaw nodded softly.

Featherpaw rolled her eyes.
"No, I said that to make you feel better. Ugh, toms!" Featherpaw scoffed. Of course, she did think he was kinda cute, and he was hilarious when he got angry... When it wasn't making her cry.

Firepaw looked down at his paws, "o-oh..." she said softly. Trying to to show how hurt he looked.[lol! Drama!!! AHHH] Firepaw sighed softly then a thought hit him, "Hey Featherkit, what dose your mentore look like?!" he asked his voice now turning back to normal.

Featherpaw rolled her eyes. "I was just kidding a minute ago! I do think you're cute when you're angry! And umm, he's gorgeous. You know, the whole package, and why am I telling you? Because I don't like to shut up. His name is Snowpelt."

Firepaw nodded slowly ignoring what she had said, "But what dose he LOOK like? " he asked again. He seemed to be intrested. Firepaw had it all planned out. When he and his mother where walking around the twoleg place he found all sorts of colors thatcould chnage the color of a cat's fur. He snickerd to himself.

"Why do you care?" She asked angrily. "His fur is white, duh. His name is Snowpelt, but why do you care?"

Firepaw smiled, ''I am curious that is all, why do you care that I care?" he asked.
He was confusing himself now....

Featherpaw huffed angrily.
"Because you're being intrusive and it's none of your business. Why are you being such a jurk? I don't understnad you, maybe I was wrong." she hissed.

Firepaw snorted, "Fine- it isn't any of my buisness....but now it is!!" he hissed kinda creepy like[AHH STALKER].
though he couldn't stop staring at her beautiful eyes.

[Meerful]

Feaherpaw backed away abit.
"Um.. You're scaring me." SHe mewed uncomfortably. Her paws started to shake, and her heart beat faster... With fear.

[Lightbreeze & Co. (Night)]

[[Is it okay if I post here? Snowpelt felt like being the hero. ]]

Snowpelt stepped up to the two apprentices, glaring down at Firepaw. He knew the young tom was Blackthorn's son, and he had hated the rogue, so, even if it was an injustice, he hated her son, too. He stepped between him and his apprentice, hiding the she-cat with his muscular white body. With green eyes he shot a look at Firepaw. [[You were close, Meer. ]]

"I hope you two aren't thinking of fighting," he meowed sternly. He turned back to look at his apprentice, softening his gaze. "And I thought we were going to meet outside the camp for a training session with Lightbreeze?" he mewed, sending a wink her way to show that he was lieing to save her behind. "Why don't you head on over and wait for me while I escort Firepaw back to camp. Unless you'd rather wait here," he added.[/glow]

[Meerful]

"Uh, okay, yeah, Snowpelt.." She mumbled, throwing a glance of satisfaction Firepaw's way. Tail held high, she raced off towards the spot that Snowpelt had indicated.

"Well your face scares me" he hissed before the white cat came along. Firepaw snorted unhappily. Why did Featherpaw like this guy, this was exactly the type of cat that Firepaw hated. Being born a rouge Firepaw has always hated clan. "I don't answer stupid questions" hissed Firepaw. his voice now becoming cold and emotionless. Firepaw was thinking of dressing up as Snowpelt and making Featherpaw hate him. Yet now he could see that his plan was stupid to begain with. " Blackthorn has told me never to trust a clan cat like you, and so it will remain. STay far away from me, that is an order" Firepaw meowed coldly and cooly, almost tauntingly.
