The return of Shadowstone (anyone)

As sunhigh came, Shadowstone walked through the thick weeds of the Wind Clan border thinking to himself. " I had to leave. I had to prepare myself for anything. I must be ready to protect my clan, if they let me back in." He was also bothered by something else. " It saddens me that I had to leave the love of my life, my mate, my queen, Sunset. I just hope that nothing has happened to her."
He had gotten older, stronger, faster, and wiser in a year. His jet black pelt gleamed in the sunlight. His muscles could be clearly seen.
Suddenly he heard a rustle in the weeds about 30 cat tails infront of him. "Who's there?!!?" he asked angrily.

Eclipsepaw
Warm sun dappled all across the lands of Wind. The tall grass shone brilliantly and the wind slithered across the open plains. It was a stunning day, a perfect day for anyone. Bluebrids sand hymns of joy, rabbits nuzzled there young. Everything was beautiful; but one of the most brilliant things about that day was that fresh herbs grew everywhere. Lavender to poppyseeds. Everything was ready, and on such a nice day like this even the shy medicine cat apprentice was less timid.
Eclipsepaw scurried across the warm plains, her blue eyes sparkled happily. She didn't know where to begin! So many herbs so little time; though so cats would get angry at all the extra work. Eclipsepaw loved it! She couldn't have been happier. As she skipped through the plains she was to joyful to notice that a cat was lurking on the other side of the bush she had jumped into. Eclipsepaw had only just became the medicine cat apprentice, she had been doing medical work with her mentor for a long time. But she didn't get interdused as an apprentice until a few weeks. Ago, the apprintice still acted like a kit- and being to careless. Jumped right into a clearing with a deadly black cat in it. "AhhH!! I-I-I am sorry! I d-d-diddn't know you where here" the shy apprintice explained.

Shadowstone let out a sigh of relief. The hairs on his neck lie flat. "Its ok young one. You just startled me." He thought he had seen the young kit before but he wasn't sure. Then it came to him. "Ohhh, you're Eclipsekit. You were in the nursery when I left. Oh excuse me, Eclipsepaw."

Eclipsepaw's beautiful blue eyes looked over the dark colored tom; she couldn't remember a single thing about him. Then she remembered, wasn't he the mate of Sunset? Eclipsepaw was only a little kit when Sunset disappeared. Her father was to afraid to let her know; but to this day Sunset is thought dead. "I-I-I am sorry I didn't recognize you" Eclipsepaw bowed her head. She could remember now, Badgersoul used to tell her stories about him. Yet Badgersoul used to tell her that Shadowstone betrayed him, Sunset, and the whole clan. Why was he back? Eclipsepaw bowed her head again in a very polite matter; "Y-Yes I am Eclipsepaw; a-spprintice to Badgersoul medicine cat of Windclan.Daughter of Demonheart, and the thunderclanner Burningwing. Sister to Scorchingkit of Thunderclan and S-s-s-spiritkit of Thunderclan."

Shadowstone looked at the young apprentice with calm and happy eyes. "Ahh so Badgerpaw has grown up into a medicine cat." Then a question hit Shadowstone he had to ask. " What has become of my beautiful mate, Sunset?"

Eclipsepaw stared down at her paws; guilt and sorrow took over her even though it really wasn't her fault. "n-no one knows" she whisperd softly. "The queen, Sunset, in thought to be dead." Eclipsekit sinced as if the words where badger claws that just hit her square on the cheast. "I-I am s-sorry" Eclipsepaw whispered softly.

Shadowstone looked past the young kit in sorrow. "Sunset.....no..." Then he looked down at Eclipsepaw. " Its not your fault young one. What has become of my sister, Frostwing?"

[Frostwing :)]

A frosty white she cat, knowing the dangers of coming to WindClan territory, snuck across the border. A rumor that her brother had come back. She quickly saw the mass that was Shadowstone, he was huge, how could she not mistake him. "Shadowstone?" Frostwing called out softly, and unsure. Bright frosty blue eyes for which she was named for shining with question.

[Shadowstone]

Shadowstone turned to see who it was. ".....Frostwing..." He quickly ran to greet her. " This is amazing! You've grown since I last saw you! How have you been?" Shadowstone had so many questions for his little sister.

"Shadowstone." The she-cat purred rubbing against him. "The question I should ask is where you've been, but I'm good. My kits are apprentices, the should be warriors soon." Frostwing purred proudly.

[Shadowstone]

Tears were brought to Shadowstone's eyes as Frostwing told him about how her life had changed. "I'm so glad to see you Frostwing."

[Frostwing :)]

"I am too, where have you've been, even though I am in a different clan, I still was really worried." Frostwing stopped purring, blue eyes burning with sadness and question.

[Shadowstone]

"I went training so I could become strong enough to protect my clan. When I left I was weak and I wasn't strong enough to protect anyone. Not even Sunset......thats why I'm back so I can protect everyone I possibly can. By the way where is Sunset?" Shadowstone asked his sister.

[Frostwing :)]

"Sunset..." Frostwing bit her lip, pulling herself together, to break the news to her brother. "Sunset, got seriously depressed. She stayed in the clan till Otterpaw was a new apprentice then left. From where I was in ThunderClan, I only heard of rumors at the gatherings. Some rumors said she had died, or had killed herself. I'm sorry, Shadowstone."

[Shadowstone]

Shadowstone's eyes clouded with sadness as his sister told the news of Sunset. " I told her I would be back...." Shadowstone said half to himself. He slowly turned toward his camp. " I was training with....." Shadowstone hesitated. " ..... Tigerstar..."

[Frostwing :)]

Frostwing gasped. No, Shadowstone couldn't have been training with Tigerstar. Tigerstar had been dead for years, not even his name had the fear it once had thrust upon it. He was just a legend that elders told to kits. Frostwing didn't know of any cat who still remembered him in the flesh. "How?"

[Shadowstone]

Shadowstone understood his sister's confusion. " I was training in the mountains and he came to me. He said that if I wanted to become the greatest warrior in the forest, then I had to trust him." Shadowstone looked down at his paws. " He taught me so much. And he even said that I was...." Shadowstone didn't know how to tell his sister what Tigerstar had told him.

[Frostwing :)]

"How could he have come back?" Frostwing was puzzled, she had never really been close to a medicine cat, other than to treat her wounds, and she was on good terms with Dreamheart. "Was it through dreams?"

[Shadowstone]

Shadowstone looked thoughtfully at Frostwing. " Not exactly. He came to me at day and we just trained."

[Frostwing :)]

This was all puzzling the white she-cat. How could Shadowstone actually have met Tigerstar other than in a dream that fearsome leader was long gone. "I don't understand?"

[Shadowstone]

Shadowstone looked down at his paws. He opened his mouth to speak but he heard a russling in the tall grass behind him.

A light frosty gray she-cat emerged her golden eyes penetrating and cold. There was a ThunderClan she-cat in her territory. Stormwhisker didn't care why the she-cat was there, but that cat needed to be told who lived where. She stepped out of the grass, "Shadowstone?"

[Shadowstone]

Shadowstone looked couriously at the young she-cat for a while and then realized who it was. " Stormpaw! It's good to see you!" Shadowstone ran up to her and touched noses with her. " Wait you must be a Warrior now."

[Frostwing :)]

Stormwhisker purred, her old friend Shadowstone had come back. For a short while they had been apprentices, but he soon was a warrior and a father before she was even a warrior. She had gotten pregnant while she was still an apprentice, but had kitted after her warrior ceremony. By then Shadowstone was gone and Sunset was weak and depressed. "Its Stormwhisker now, and I'm also a queen. But Shadekit seems to have run off again. So have you seen a little dark brown kit run by. I swear by StarClan that he should be an apprentice by now." She purred with pride though her adopted son was pain in the butt sometimes.

Frostwing meowed a quick goodbye to Shadowstone before running off to her own territory.

Shadowstone felt something behind his hind leg. " So you must be Shadekit?" Shadowstone suddenly looked at Stormwhisker. " Wait...... Sunset said something about Shadekit before I left! Does that mean...?"



Shadekit was padding toward Stormwhisker

Stormwhisker saw her adopted son appear out of the bramble. "Shadekit! thats were you were." The silvery she-cat ran to the kit and started licking him all over. He reminded her so much of Stormwhisker's first mate Voletail. Dark and handsome, though Shadekit's real father was right in front of her. "I'm so glad I found you!"

[Shadowstone]

Shadowstone looked at Stormwhisker and then at Shadekit. " Your eyes....."

[Frostwing :)]

Stormwhisker looked at Shadowstone, a slight sadness coming to her eyes, Shadekit wouldn't be her's anymore, he would want to go with his father when he discovered his parentage.

[Shadowstone]

Shadowstone looked back at Stormwhisker. " I'm happy for you." He felt very sad now that he had no mate and no son or daughter. His eyes clouded very quickly.

[Frostwing :)]

Stormwhisker walked up to Shadowstone brushing against him, "Shadowstone, I need to tell you something when we are back at camp."
