Farsight's dark tabby pelt was easilly spotted as he made his way into Fourtrees. There wasn't a Gathering planned, in fact nothing was really planned at all. In his boredom, the young warrior had allowed his paws to carry him to the gathering place. Farsight had recently been made a warrior, in fact it wasn't even yet a moon ago. Finally, he could be recognized as a full warrior to the Clan. Farsight could remember the joyful look on his brother, Beartail's face as their new names were called. He smiled at the thought. Maybe they'd go on patrol or something sometime; after all Beartail was the only family Farsight saw anymore. He felt as if he hadn't seen his mother or father in ages.

Bright yellow amber eyes gazed around Fourtrees. Farsight had been to only one Gathering, and that had been so long ago he barely remembered. It had been fun, though, meeting all the new cats. It was amazing how different the Clans were; RiverClan had appeared sleek, WindClan skinny but lean. ShadowClan had been fierce. Farsight, then only Farpaw, had been stunned. The clearing had been crowded then, now it was empty and appeared much larger. Yellow sunlight cascaded into the clearing, filtering its way through the trees. Shadows lined the edges of the trees, threatening their advance as sunset approached. Farsight gazed around the clearing, preparing himself to leave. In his boredom he had wandered to Fourtrees for a solo patrol, though now there wasn't much left to do.

Just as Farsight turned around, a loud rustling echoed in his ears. His amber eyes narrowed momentarily, his ears swiveling around to pick up the sound of the rustling again. His neck fur started to rise, though in his mind he was trying to calm himself. This was Fourtrees, everyone was allowed. There was a truce here, full moon or not. Another thought entered his mind. What if it wasn't a Clancat that had made that noise? It could've very easilly been a rogue, or a loner. Thoughts of the creature being a fox or badger also entered his mind, though Farsight shook those thoughts away. The rustle had sounded like it had been made by something smaller then that. Curiously he pricked his ears, turning around.

"Who's there?" he growled. Silently he cursed himself. That had been stupid to say. Any Clancat is allowed here, stop acting so hostile. Reluctantly his neck fur flattened, though he kept his claws unsheathed. Farsight gazed around the clearing, searching for who- or whatever had made that rustle. He knew he was acting rather parnoid, but he didn't care. Thoughts of running into a cat from another Clan made his claws slowly start to sheathe. No matter how nervous he was, he'd never break the truce.

The little silver and tan apprentice had broken off with the dawn patrol when she decided to do some independent hunting. Since Hummingbirdpaw didn't have a mentor, she was free to do whatever she pleased as long as she didn't get into trouble. (No that was funny!) Alright, she had to admit she got into trouble frequently. But that never dampened her mood. She always did what there was to do and run off having more fun with the other WindClan apprentices. (Though she was by far the oldest...)
After saying sneaking off from the rest of the group, the adventurous she-cat decided to hunt near Fourtrees. There was always plenty of prey there and no one could yell at her about tresspassing on other Clan territory. (Like that hasn't happened before!)
Hummingbirdpaw was only at the top of the ridge when she tasted the air, making sure there was prey. The strong scent of thrush flooded her mouth and blocked out the scent of the ThunderClan tom that was below her. The bird was down a few feet when she spotted it. She crouched and wiggled her haunches. "Haha..." she quietly laughed. "The mighty huntress has..."
Hummingbird pushed off with her powerful legs and flew down the slope. After a few steps she couldn't stop and the bird flew upward with a warning call. "NOT ABLE TO STOP!" she screeched as she blew into the hollow and barreled into Farsight.

Farsight was feeling very, very annoyed. This cat- or thing- still refused to show itself. His ears flattened as his nostrils picked up a much stronger scent. WindClan. Farsight lashed his tail, yellow amber eyes searching for the source of the scent. Why wouldn't he be suspicious of a cat he couldn't see? The tom tasted the air again, and the WindClan scent grew stronger. Now it mingled with the scent of thrush. Farsight relaxed, no longer feeling tense. The cat was just hunting. They weren't a reason for him to be worrying. The brown tabby turned around, preparing to return to camp, when a loud yowling filled his ears.[/color]

"NOT ABLE TO STOP!"

Farsight turned around, neck fur rising. A tan and silver blurr was speeding toward him, causing the tom to unsheathe his claws. Farsight opened his mouth, preparing to let out a warning cry, yet the cat had bowled him over. Farsight hissed, frustrated, as he rolled in the dust. Slowly he got back to his paws, watching the cat cautiously. She looked to be only a couple moons younger then Farsight, though her small size made her appear much younger. All hostility vanished from Farsight's eyes for a split second as he stared at the pretty she-cat. He was dazed for a moment, until he realized what had happened just moments before. Shaking his head, Farsight let out a hiss.[/color]

"Mousebrain!"[/color][/b] he hissed, glaring at the she-cat.[/color] "What were you thinking? There's a truce here, full moon or not. You can't just go tackling other cats like that!"[/color][/b] Farsight flicked his tail impatiently, waiting for a response.[/color]

Hummingbirdpaw silently cursed herself when she became tangled with the ThunderClan tom. After a moment she had sprung apart from him and stood glaring back at him. She was not dazed by him as he was by her. She was just full out ticked off at him. Why was he yelling at her? For crying out loud she was neutral territory!
"Mousebrain! What were you thinking? There's a truce here, full moon or not. You can't just go tackling other cats like that!"
The silver WindClan apprentice flicked her tail in impatience. She was different looking than most cats. For instance, her tail. It was short, almost a stub, but the fur on her tail was long and almost featherlike. So it fanned out much like a hummingbird's. That was one of the reasons she was named Hummingbirdkit in the first place. But her neverending energy didn't contribute to that. Yeah right!
She sniffed disdainfully and continued to glare at Farsight. "For your information! I was hunting and ended up rolling like an armadillo down the slope! I could have broken my neck and all you do is yell at a lady! Some gentleman you'd make. I highly doubt any ladies in ThunderClan swoon at the sight of you. And if so, it's because they are afraid you'll walk up to them and start yellling at them for no reason!" There, she thought rudely. Let him get a mouthful of that![/shadow]

"Well, maybe if you weren't such a klutz, you wouldn't have rolled down the hill in the first place!"[/color] Farsight hissed, rolling his golden amber orbs. Great. A night of peace and silent celebration had become a battle of words with a WindClan apprentice. At least, he thought she was an apprentice, after all the cat before him was slightly small. Then again, Farsight wasn't exactly on the large side either, so he wasn't that much taller. His brown tabby fur bristled with irritation. The rest of the cat's words didn't faze him. Why should he honestly care what a WindClan apprentice thought?[/color]

"You don't know me,"[/color][/b] Farsight growled.[/color] "How would you know what my life was like? Unless you happened to be stalking me, which is kind of weird. Since you're not stalking me- I desperately hope not at least- then you obviously are just a naive apprentice who doesn't know anything."[/color][/b]

Farsight flexed his claws for a moment, trying to calm himself down. He had learned already by careful observation that this wasn't a cat to mess with. She seemed to have a sharp-tongue on her, something that Farsight found intriquing. One thing was for sure, she wouldn't be a boring cat to be around. This little word-fight could actually turn amusing for him. Farsight knew he was a show-off, knew that he could be too stubborn for his own good. This cat would soon figure that out. She had wanted to fight, and Farsight wasn't about to back down.[/color]

The silver apprentice backed away with a shocked look on her face. Downright rude and obnoxious. She sniffed and sat down. Her breath billowed out in from of her face and narrowed her beautiful emerald green eyes. Hummingbirdpaw now was slightly fascinated by this tom. Maybe she could cause mischief with him. That thought made her smile. She L-O-V-E-D to cause trouble. All caps. No exceptions. That was the definition of Hummingbirdpaw.

Farsight watched, feeling rather proud, as the she-cat backed away and sat down. That had been easier then he had thought. His amber eyes locked with her emerald eyes for a moment, and he felt a small stab of guilt. Maybe he had been a bit harsh... What was wrong with him? Farsight knew that he had been acting a bit different lately. He'd always been determined and stubborn, even when he was little. Now... Farsight knew that he had become just downright rude at times. He gazed at the pretty young cat, becoming dazed again for only a split second. There was something about her... Farsight couldn't place his paw on it. She was rather pretty, that was true. Yet that wasn't it... Maybe it was her ability to fight, and to stand up for herself. Farsight could see the fire in the she-cat, and he couldn't help but admire her for that.[/color]

"So," she meowed. "Name's Hummingbirdpaw. It's a mouthful. But it's my name."[/i]

Farsight smiled and nodded. Hummingbirdpaw, it did suit her. Farsight remembered that, once, when he had snuck out of camp as a kit he had seen a hummingbird. It had been so fascinating to little Farkit. The rapid moving wings, the bright feather colors... all had been amazing to him. Farkit had loved just watching the little bird. Now, however, he was a warrior. He didn't remember seeing a hummingbird at all lately.[/color]

His amber eyes gleamed like two pools of sunlight as he studied the apprentice before him. There really wasn't much he could say. Sure, this was neutral territory, but that didn't make it okay to converse with an enemy cat. Yet, as Farsight forced himself to look away from the pretty femme, he couldn't help but wonder why he still chose to stay.[/color]

Hummingbirdpaw smiled and lifted a fragile tan paw and rubbed it across her beautiful face. She was slightly embarassed by Farsight's curious stare and she tried her best to look away. There was no reason to be here now, especially since all the prey ran away when she goofed up. But she found the ThunderClan tom intriguing. And she couldn't pull herself away from him. Like she was in gravitational orbit with him. It kind of irritated her.
"Hummingbirdpaw... Yeah I guess it is a mouthful, but it's a nice name. I'm Farsight, ThunderClan warrior. My ceremony was only a couple days ago."
Hummingbirdpaw smiled innocently at him and sighed. "I'm too old to be an apprentice. But I refuse to become a warrior until I find my sister, Autumnpaw..." She probably gave herself a warrior name, she thought sadly. Why did she run away? Only because Mother and Father died? The silver apprentice pushed these thoughts out of her head and continued to smile. None could ever tell she was always thinking about her sister because she was always happy. Her philosophy was to never let the past dwell on you. You could think about it, but you couldn't let it show. Never.
"So... Um... Well, I guess I should ask if you're okay from that fall so... Well, are you okay?"
Hummingbirdpaw pressed her small face down into her chest fur and snickered. Her small laughs were a little muffled by her fur but it still came bubbling into the air. She could tell Farsight was feeling awkward and it kind of made her feel pleasant inside. It was funny when toms were embarassed or lost for words. They were just so cute when that happened. Almost adorable. (Wow, she sounds like a teenager BIG TIME!)
"I'm fine," she smiled tauntingly. "No thanks to you, though." Her tone of voice was not mocking, only warm and nice.

Farsight smiled, but his smile faded at Hummingbirdpaw's words of her sister. A small frown tugged at his lips, though he tried not to let it show. What did Hummingbirdpaw mean about finding Autumnpaw? The tabby tom couldn't help but feel a stab of pity for the she-cat. Farsight had his brother, Beartail, with him in ThunderClan. Something had happened to seperate Hummingbirdpaw from her own sister. He opened his mouth to speak, yet Hummingbirdpaw had already replied to his previous question. Farsight smirked at her comment, flicking his tail in mock-aggravation.[/color]

"Well what could I have done? You tackled me before I could do anything,"[/color] Farsight mewed, rolling his eyes. Their amber depths still held a bit of laughter though. Clearly this apprentice was the least bit interested in him. After all, she was still there, wasn't she? The thought made Farsight smile. He was starting to like this she-cat. Only now it wasn't only about curiousity anymore. Hummingbirdpaw's melodic laugh echoed in his ears. He smiled, enjoying the sound of Hummingbirdpaw's laugh for a moment. Suddenly Farsight remembered what Hummingbirdpaw said previously about Autumnpaw. He couldn't help but feel a bit curious.

The silver apprentice flashed Farsight her hollywood smile and sighed in mock disappointment. Her breath became a huge cloud in front of her face in the morning chill. The leaves above her whispered as they brushed against each other. Hummingbirdpaw loved Leaf-Fall, but she enjoyed Green-Leaf more... Her sister enjoyed Fall more...
"Well what could I have done? You tackled me before I could do anything,"
She rolled her eyes and looked away. Her amazing eyes stared off into nothing. Her mind was unable to think of a response for his comment. So she ignored it. But then...
"You said earlier, something about your sister Autumnpaw. You said you had to find her. What do you mean? What happened to her?"
She looked at Farsight out of the corner of her eye. How was she to answer that when even she didn't know the true answer? It was only the tip of the iceburg. The creative apprentice had thought of many things, but she hadn't even gotten close to what really made Autumnpaw leave. Not even close.
"Yes," she sighed sadly. "Autumnpaw was my sister. My only living one, that is. I must find her. I have a feeling she's stil alive. I don't believe like everyone else that she's dead. 'Keep your chin high and ignore the low chins' is what my mother used to say. That's the reason why Autumnpaw left, I believe. The deaths of our parents. You see, it was only after the burial did anyone notice my sister was not where she was supossed to be..."
The moon shines above the WindClan camp while the stars do not show themselves. Two young apprentice, sisters in fact, lie next to two stiff bodies that have long grown cold with death's grip. The calico sneezes, her medium frame shivering with the force of it. Her silver and tan sister stares at her and wordlessly nudges her to the apprentice den. Autumnpaw lingers at the entrance and gives her sister a worried look. Without a word Hummingbirdpaw tells her "Mother and Father would understand. We don't want you getting sick." Autumnpaw nods and takes a step into the warmth of the apprentices' den. She stands there for a moment and turns back to her sister. They stare into each other's eyes and Hummingbirdpaw's sister speaks to her the last time before she disappears forever.
"I will be with you with the first and last falling leaf. Only search for me when the winter air hurts your lungs. I will be waiting for you where the horizon kisses the sun and where the moon births from it. Don't worry about me, dear sister Hummingbirdpaw. Wait for the last leaf of Fourtrees to fall..."
Hummingbirdpaw finished her story and looked at Farsight with a faraway look in her eyes. "There's only one leaf left on the four great oaks..." And then the last leaf fell to rest in between them and the air stung her lungs. She stared at him with huge, innocent eyes that had not yet been tainted by the horrors of the world. Her lungs hurt as they expanded when she took a huge breathe. "Come with me," she whispered, leaning forward t look in Farsight's eyes. Hummingbirdpaw's voice was excited and breathless. "Come with me to prove that Autumnpaw is alive!"

Farsight smirked when Hummingbirdpaw was unable to think of a retort, but then watched as she looked away at the sound of his question. His heart went out to the WindClan apprentice. He wanted to reach out to her, to comfort her, but before he could do anything Hummingbirdpaw began her story. Farsight listened intently, suddenly feeling horrible. He couldn't imagine what Hummingbirdpaw was going through, because although they weren't always around, his parents were still alive. And Farsight would always have his brother, Beartail, whenever he needed him. Yet Hummingbirdpaw... she was all alone. And she still clung to the fact that her sister was alive. He couldn't ruin that hope for her. Farsight wanted to help her, but he just wasn't sure how he could be of any assistance. Was Autumnpaw even still alive? Anything could've happened; the forest was a dangerous place.

His gaze moved cautiously up to the four great oaks, gazing at the last leaf as it clung to the branch for dear life. His amber eyes followed as the breeze picked up, tearing the leaf from the branch. Slowly it floated back to the ground, landing between the two cats. Farsight's eyes moved to Hummingbirdpaw, and he watched as the apprentice's eyes went wide with excitement.

The pretty she-cat's innocent gaze again made Farsight's heart go out to her. He wanted to help her. He listened, feeling his own excitement growing, as Hummingbirdpaw asked for him to join her. At first, however, Farsight felt a flicker of doubt. Would they be able to find Autumnpaw? How would they know where she was? He paused as another question went through his mind. Would she still be alive? Farsight took one look at Hummingbirdpaw's wide, innocent eyes, and his mind was made up. He had to help her. Somehow. He'd help her find Autumnpaw, and if they didn't he'd be her shoulder to lean on. Farsight nodded to Hummingbirdpaw, determination flashing in his bright amber eyes.[/color]

"I'll come with you," Farsight mewed.[/color] "I'll do whatever you need me to do."[/color][/b] Farsight offered Hummingbirdpaw an encouraging smile. Farsight was determined not only to find Autumnpaw, but to be there for Hummingbirdpaw. Yet this wasn't only about helping her. Farsight could feel that there was something more.

Hummingbirdpaw smiled wanly and purred. It thrummed like the fast beating of a hummingbird' wings. Her heart skipped at his words and she was glad he would come. She was glad that he would be at her side.

She was glad to know now what she felt for him.

And looking into his earnest gaze, Hummingbirdpaw had the feeling that Farsight felt the same for her. She sighed blissfully and walked forward to tentatively touch noses with the handsome tom. "Thank you," she mewed. A tear sparkled in the corner of her eye as she smiled at Farsight. Her eyes narrowed in thought and widened again. Hummingbirdpaw stared at Farsight with a serious spark in her eyes. "I love you, you know that?" she whispered shyly. "I'm blessed to have you come along with me to find my sister. Thank you," she sobbed.
Realizing what she just said, Hummingbirdpaw gasped and stumbled back. Her feet got tangled up and she fell on her side. Her skin beneath her silver fur grew hot and she sprang to her feet. "Oh! I'm so sorry! I don't know what's come over me... Um..." She looked down with huge eyes that were as big as saucer plates and turned away to stare with unseeing eyes at the rim of the hollow. DID YOU SERIOUSLY JUST SAY THAT TO FARSIGHT?!?!?! ZOMYGOD!

Every word Hummingbirdpaw had uttered was now repeating itself over and over in Farsight's head. The words were like a song stuck in his head that just wouldn't leave. He blinked his large amber orbs once, twice. Had Hummingbirdpaw just said...? No. No way had she just said that she loved him. Farsight felt a twinge of disappointment as he realized she probably didn't mean it. Hummingbirdpaw was just happy, happy that she had Farsight to help her. Farsight closed his eyes, taking in the moment in his mind. Let's just say she did mean it, he thought to himself, refusing to look at the pretty tan and silver apprentice. Would you... say it back? Finally Farsight opened his eyes, gazing at Hummingbirdpaw. She lay in a tangled heap on the ground, her eyes looking away from him.

Farsight listened to Hummingbirdpaw's flustered apology. He shook his head, walking toward her and gently nudging her, trying to help her back up and to get her attention.[/color] "Don't be sorry,"[/color] Farsight mewed. He did have strong feelings for Hummingbirdpaw, more then he thought he had or ever would have. He liked... loved everything about her, from her strong and hyper personality to her beautiful appearance. What wasn't to like, or love for that matter? Farsight looked down at the beautiful WindClan she-cat, hoping desperately that she hadn't just been caught up in the moment when she had said those things to him.[/color]

"I... I l- I'm glad to be able to help you."[/color] Silently the tabby tom cursed himself. He'd chickened out. Farsight closed his eyes, trying to contain the fury he felt toward himself. Why couldn't he just come out and say it? She refused to cry. No! She wouldn't let those unspoken words get to her. She did mean what she said to Farsight. But she was wrong. He didn't say it. Either Hummingbirdpaw screwed it up, or Farsight was just being a gentleman about it and didn't want to full out say that he didn't feel the same.
Mega ouch... she thought sadly. Super ouch...

She looked back at his mesmerizing amber eyes. Her emerald orbs blinked, trying to hold back the tears. I was right... She wanted to die right there on the spot and disappear into the ground. She didn't even want to go to the same afterlife as Farsight at the moment. She didn't feel angry at him, though... Just at herself. What in the world attracted her to Farsight so much? Was it just the fabled love at first sight? There was no such thing, was there? It sounded so ridiculous. But in the Clan world... Anything could happen, right?
"I... I l- I'm glad to be able to help you."
No I regret for yelling at him about not being a gentleman... she hissed to herself. Hummingbirdpaw scuffled her tan paws in the dirt and looked away again. She didn't want to decipher Farsight's amber orbs. She didn't want to see the rejection there...
"After we find Autumnpaw... will you meet me again, Hummingbirdpaw?"
Her face whipped around to stare at him with pain. "I...I don't know," she whispered. "I just made a fool of myself. You don't feel the same as I do you. I get that. So why do you want to make me suffer anymore after we find my long lost sister? What? Are you sadistic or something? Am I wasting my heart? Is that what this is all about? Making me feel like I shouldn't exist?!" she sobbed angrily.

Farsight winced at Hummingbirdpaw's words. He wanted to believe her. He wanted to believe that she loved him. But... he had to think and stick with the facts. Hummingbirdpaw was excited, happy that they were going to find her sister. Was the love she was feeling toward Farsight, or just toward the simple fact that she'd be reunited with the only family she had left? Farsight wasn't sure. He felt strong feelings towards Hummingbirdpaw, that he knew for sure. He admired everything about her, everything. He had never, ever wanted to hurt her. Yet he had. Surely this was a sign that... maybe she did feel the same way? The thought made his heart soar, and as he looked into the apprentice's emerald gaze, he realized that she did feel the same.

Farsight sighed.[/color] "You don't know me,"[/color][/b] he murmured softly.[/color] "So how do you know how I feel? How do you know that I don't have feelings for you? Maybe I do, maybe I'm just... afraid. Afraid that after this is all over, you'll have Autumnpaw and won't need me anymore, wont want me around anymore. I want to keep meeting you, more then anything. Her sad eyes watched emotionlessly as Farsight winced. Good. Maybe he would feel some guilt. It hurt Hummingbirdpaw to see him in pain. But she was the kind of soul that wanted everyone to feel the same as her. It was usually always happiness. But right now she wanted Farsight to feel as low as dirt. Was this what love did to you? You loved someone so much that if you died alone, they should die alone? Or was it that you wanted them to be happy forever? No matter what? Maybe it swung both ways... Depending on the person.
"You don't know me," he murmured softly. "So how do you know how I feel? How do you know that I don't have feelings for you? Maybe I do, maybe I'm just... afraid. She gasped and backed away. Did he--? No. It just wasn't! Was it? All these stupid thoughts... she thought. Back and forth inside my head. I can't handle this confusion... Her beautiful emerald eyes became sad and continued to stare at him. Detached. Unbelieveing.
"I love you, and I want to meet with you again because of that."
It. Was. True. The apprentice could barely bring her mind to this conclusion. Did Farsight... love her? As much as she loved him? How long had they been there? Confessing their true hearts to each other. Hours? Days? Months? It felt like forever. Like years they had known each other and realized how much they meant towards each other. Like two parts of an unseparable whole.
She held up her chin, her eyes sparkling and cold at the moment. "I--" Her eyes softened and she bounded forward the last few steps to put her face into Farsight's strong shoulder. The tears leaked out and the sobs tore at her chest painfully. "Yes..." she sobbed. "I love you, Farsight. More than the earth needs light... I... Want to see nothing else but you. I love you, understand me for that."

Farsight watched Hummingbirdpaw intently as he finished his words. He watched as she gasped, stumbling backwards. Farsight's amber eyes remained hopeful as he gazed at the beautiful femme before him. This was it. It'd either make them or break them. What was it that had brought them together in the first place? Surely they hadn't been there, just talking, for more then a few hours? Their feelings had grown in that short amount of time. Clearly it was a case of puppy- er, kitty-love. Love at first sight. Both of those made sense. As soon as he had seen Hummingbirdpaw, before he had hissed at her for tackling him, he had been mesmerized by her amazing beauty. Maybe it was love at first sight. That would make the most sense. After all, Farsight had been born with his eyes open, unlike most kits. He had better sight then a lot more cats. Maybe this was just proving that fact to be true.

Suddenly Hummingbirdpaw's face was buried in his shoulder. Hot tears fell through Farsight's pelt. The tabby tom twined his tail with Hummingbirdpaw's, nuzzling the silver and tan femme soothingly. Her words echoed in his ears, words that were more then just words. They defined what the two cats felt for each other, and everything beyond that. These past few hours had been too much for Farsight to believe. This was love.[/color] "I'll hold you through forever, and I'll never let you go."[/color] Farsight murmured in Hummingbirdpaw's ear, keeping their tails entwined and pressing close to her. This moment couldn't end. Farsight would easilly stay like this forever; the whole world meant nothing. He'd rather stay there, with Hummingbirdpaw. The one cat who meant everything.

She shook her beautiful head. In many ways she was much more beautiful than Hummingbirdpaw. They looked nothing alike. Except for their eyes. But even Autumnbreeze's eyes were softer and not as bright. Like very old, ancient jade. She sighed and twitched her plumed tail. Yes, that dream of her's was true. It worked out perfectly. But she forgot the one other factor in this scenario...

Would she be able to trust him with WindClan secrets that only she and Hummingbirdpaw should know? After a moment of listening to their confessions. She had to decide...

Her paws skimmed the ground as she flew down the slope. Autumnbreeze's long fur ruffled in the strong breeze. Like a blur, she dashed down and decided to rest a few paces away from her sister and mate. Will she recognize me? she thought wanly. Do I look so different?

Farsight knew that everything would be shattered. He knew that, eventually, the two would have to go back to their seperate Clans. At least after they found Autumnpaw. Yet he wished that they didn't have to leave. Farsight would've left easilly. There wasn't much for him in ThunderClan; all he had was Beartail and maybe Blackpaw at times. Beartail... would he be able to leave his brother behind? These thoughts couldn't help but swim through his mind during this peaceful moment. Farsight sighed. No one had to make a decision yet; he knew he should've just calmed down. But what would happen after they found Autumnpaw? Would they just keep meeting again? Farsight didn't have long to dwell on this, for moments later a soft voice echoed in his ears. He turned his head, seeing a young she-cat about Hummingbirdpaw's age standing before them.

Farsight stared. The cat had called Hummingbirdpaw sister, yet the two looked nothing alike. Then again, their eyes were practically the same shade of green. Was this the Autumnpaw they were so intent on finding just moments ago? Hummingbirdpaw never did mention any other sisters... Farsight nudged Hummingbirdpaw gently, telling her to turn around. Farsight turned back to look at the other cat. He knew he had to say something.

Hummingbirdpaw sighed blissfully into Farsight's shoulder and twined her short tail with his. Nothing could shatter this moment of heaven and hell. It was chaotic and euphoric at the same time. Her mind was steady and strong, caught up in its own personal high. Yet her heart thudded like that of a hummingbird's. It stuttered, but it was strong and beat and beat and beat...
"I'll hold you through forever, and I'll never let you go."
"Oh, Farsight," she sighed. "If only words were so much more powerful... I would express my deepest soul to you with song and poem..."
"Well... Sister. It's been so long that you didn't invite me to the wedding?"

No... Could it be? This was all a dream. Autumnpaw could wait. Hummingbirdpaw needed to be with Farsight. He was her all now. Her life. Her air. Her all. If she were of Greek mythology. She would be Atlas, the one who was punished to carry the world on his shoulders. In turn, it was Hummingbirdpaw who was carrying Farsight. Her world. But it would be no punishment, it would be a gift.
And she would nuture such a gift.
The nudge in her side made the she-cat grimace. What? Couldn't Farsight not want to ruin this--?
"Um... Are you... Autumnpaw?"
With a shocked look on her face, Hummingbirdpaw turned around. There her sister was. Now not lost. She left Farsight's side, even though the distance was physical pain. Her tan paws carried her to stand in front of Autumnbreeze. "Well..." she swallowed. "I was right."
