signed Brownstar don't let life pass you by
A soft, cooling wind crept upon the backs of a very sleep and slender cat. Although unexpected, the cat only let out a small shiver, not really noticing the sharp whip that cracked her back, making her muscles tense up. It was a cold night-- like most nights of the forest. The trees usually kept the Clans warm, but tonight, it was getting colder. The moon was high in the sky, directly in the middle actually and the star were shining bright with the ancestors of the Clans looking down on them, some smiling with joy, others frowning with anger. Brownstar was right-- the cold always brought unexpected discoveries.
Why was she walking so far away from camp? Had she really reached fourtrees, the sacred meeting place of the Clans? Although no one's territory, the feisty leader always felt guilty leaving he beloved land, the one she fought so hard for. However, this night was different. A change of scenery, fresh air, and new sounds could only do the disturbed leader good. Even as a young kit, Brownstar had enjoyed fourtrees, wondering what majestic magic and dark, hidden stories lay in the very rocks the leaders stood on every moon at the gatherings of the four Clans.
Kits tails, she told herself, even though she always wanted to hear stories, even as an elder herself, she loved haunted stories of the cats before that had roamed the forest, killing each other for prey. Those sorts of bloody battles stories amused the brown she-cat, and most likely always would. "No one out tonight," she whispered to herself, not that she should have been surprised. Most cats were fast asleep at moon high, and of course, next to none would be leaving their territory, exploring outside lands.
Brownstar sat her body down, letting her brown fur lay down flat and her paws rest for a moment so she could take in her full surroundings. [/blockquote]

WindstarLife is temporary, death is final.Looking from a distance...
The night brought all sorts of wonders, and with wonders is always trouble, but luckily not tonight. Gentle curls of warm and cool air made their way over the vast, flat moors of the Windclan territory. There wasn't anything to stop it up here, only the occasional large rock or random horse that could, and would be, scattered about the lands. The large grasses gently waved back and forth as a figure of a cat pushed it's way through the grasses, her pelt the same shade as her surroundings, causing her to be near invisible. Her soft pink pads made no noise as she picked her way over and around rocks and wheat stalks. Her brilliant blue eyes stared forward towards her destination, Fourtrees.
The gentle breeze was home to her, saying so, she paused at the edge of the tall grass and closed her eyes, turning her face towards the wind. She flicked her ears back so that the wind couldn't tickle them, she didn't want one of those irritating twitches. Flexing her claws she turned her face back towards Fourtrees, the silhouettes of the large trees standing out against the navy black sky. She waved her tail side to side before setting off again, the light from the moon and stars helping her see where the lad began it's dangerous tilt. She paused for a moment near the bottom of the hill, trying to figure out where the rocks ended and the soft grass of Fourtrees began.
Padding onto the soft grass she sighed, stretching her aching muscles before yawning a toothy yawn. Her tan ticked pelt stood out against the dark green color, but she didn't mind, this wasn't where she belonged anyways. Ravenstrike on the other hand, she glared at the grass as she stalked forward, he doesn't deserve to go to Starclan. She lashed her tail before realizing there was another cat in the hollow, she looked up and spotted a familiar brown tinted coat. She smiled and moved forward, dipping her head, "Evening Brownstar."

signed Brownstar every thing's gonna be alright Brownstar, for a moment, seemed confused, not calculating who was behind her. Was it a familiar voice? Why, yes it was... it was Windstar. Hah, haven't seen this cat since she was Deputy... My, oh, my. Brownstar immediately turned around, letting a small smile hide her surprise and happiness. WindClan had always been a friend of ThunderClan, and the two had never spoken much, but she had respect for Wingstar and her Clan, and that respect still spilled over to Windstar.
"Well, hello there Windstar, and might I add, congratulations. I know we'll see each other at the gathering, but I wanted you to know you'll make a fine addition. At ThunderClan, we mourned the loss of Wingstar, she was a great leader, and old friend."A cold streak hit the brown cat's back, this time getting a bigger reaction has her fur stood on end, then going back flat after the warmth of her body settled it down.
"How are WindClan doing? Well, I hope. Prey scarcity affecting your Clan?" Brownstar tried to hide her sense of urgency in the question, trying to play it off casual, but her eyes showed her true worry.

WindstarLife is temporary, death is final.Looking from a distance...
A thin breeze swept down from the plains and into the hollow, swirling around the trees only to drift apart into each of the four clan territories. Windstar's bright blue eyes swept around the clearing before resting on Brownstar's pale ones. She never talked to Brownstar much, never really got the chance. She smiled a kind smile as Brownstar turned to her, she made a comment about Wingstar. "Wingstar was a great leader, she is missed, dearly missed." Wingstar and Silverstar parted so closely, it is devastating.
She pulled her tail in closer to her side as she spoke again. "Wingstar did good for Windclan, I hope I can as well." She smiled and sat, wrapping her tail around her back paws. "Windclan is doing well. Not as many kits right now as normal but we are getting along fine. Rabbits are running great, mice have fled to Thunderclan". Her eyes glinted with amusement as she tilted her head towards Brownstar. "Saying that, how are things in Thunderclan? Peaceful I hope?" More specifically... She paused for a long moment, waiting for Brownstar to respond. I hope Ravenstrike hasen't caused any troubles.

signed Brownstar it doesn't matter
Brownstar's first reaction was one of shock, for the leader was surprised by the spouting of prey in WindClan. If only ThunderClan could feel the same effects, thought the brown, reserved cat. "Ah, yes, dear 'ol Wingstar. I remember meeting her here when I was a very young warrior, and she not yet Deputy. We talked, as we are now-- in peace. Although our circumstances were different, she was kind and helpful, and I felt close to her every day since." Brownstar reflected on the memories of her old friend for a moment. She half regretted not visiting WindClan on hearing of Wingstar's death. The two had been surprisingly close-- and had had many conversations that equated to many ambiguous meanings.
Not wanting to reveal to much information, and half wishing she did not say anything, Brownstar nodded a bit, thinking of how ThunderClan was doing. Although Brownstar did not want to show weakness, her worried complexion was setting in. Prey was fine now, but Brownstar had a knack for spotting trouble, and this seemed to be giving her trouble, even though Mintflower had not said anything from StarClan. StarClan shall provide... was all she could think to herself silently. "ThunderClan are doing okay, although the prey could be better, it is expected considering leaf fall is setting in."

The tan she-cat looked around the clearing, imagining Wingstar as a warrior, it was something hard to believe. She looked to Brownstar, a small smile crossing her face "Well Brownstar, I hope that Windclan and Thunderclan can keep with this friendship." She looked to the stars, where the ones she truly loved were now residing, "Ones we loved, ones we lost" she whispered. Finally she built up enough will to ask, "If you don't mind me asking Brownstar, but." She paused and looked to the ground at Brownstars paws, she felt like a fool asking. "There is a black cat in your clan. Ravenstrike". She looked up, pain glinting in her eyes, "How is he?"
