RiverClan Medicine Cat
.oh all the promises we made. .all the meaningless and empty words. .i prayed, prayed, prayed. .oh, all the promises we broke. .all the meaningless and empty words. .i spoke, spoke, spoke.
It had happened. Her mind could barely contain it or even comprehend it. Her? Medicine cat? Of all the cats in RiverClan, Honeystripe had to be chosen after Lilyfeather's disappearance. The beautiful tabby she-cat didn't even know all of the herbs! And her connection with StarClan wasn't the best of the best. She had no mentor; a terrible, non-Clan past that she will never think or speak of again, and was not as appropriate for the job as most other Clan cats. But maybe this ranking in the Clan could help others. Sure, she'd be healing many cats in her career, but she wanted to take on Silentkit as her apprentice, or at least have her apprenticed to someone capable of a mute she-cat. Dragonstar would listen to her? Wouldn't he? If she were to accept the enduring role as medicine cat at the council meeting with the fellow medicine cats and StarClan. "I'll find you one day, daughter. And I'll rip your throat out very, very slowly." Honeystripe flinched at the memory of Avarice, her mother, and huddled down on the ground before the gaping Mothermouth. What would the other medicine cats think of her? Would they approve of her? Much like Dragonstar and some of RiverClan. Though it was an honor of being appointed as RiverClan medicine cat, Honeystripe couldn't help but feel frightened. Was it supposed to be like this? Scared? Or was she not to be frightened and feel... She didn't know... Aloof? The golden and brown she-cat shook these thoughts away and waited for Badgersoul, Mintflower, and Shrewspots to meet her.
.what of all the things that you taught me. .what of all the things that you'd say. .what of all your prophetic preaching. .you're just throwing it all away. .maybe we should burn the house down. .have ourselves another fight. .leave the cobwebs in the closet. .'cos tearing them out is just not right.

{ YOUR TEARS DON'T FALL } { THEY CRASH AROUND ME } Badgersoul sat silently in his den, staring blankly at the wall. It had been weeks now; yet Eclipsepaw was no where to be found. Badgersoul let out a depressed sigh; it was all his fault. He deapprenticed her and caused her to run away with that Thunderclanner! Badgersoul growled angerly, how he hated Thunderclan for producing such a tom. A tom that would fall in love with a medicine cat apprentice, in another clan! Was Thunderclan's standers really set that low now a days! Badgersoul stared up at the half moon; his stomach boiling with anger and depression. This would be the very first medicine cat meeting her would go on without Eclipsepaw. He would have a very long conversation with the Thunderclan medicine cat! Badgersoul slowly got up; shaking his black and white pelt to free the moss that was trapped in his pelt.
Badgersoul walked out of his den; letting the light from Starclan dapple his pelt. Badgersoul stared up at them purring softly to himself; "Please forgive me for not being a better mentor to her" he whispered. Closing his eyes in a prayer. Badgersoul reopened his eyes and let out another depressed sight; he knew that he had to go. But his legs wouldn't let him; as if they were waiting forth little dappled she-cat to come running after him yelling for him to wait. Badgersoul snickered at the memory of Eclipsepaw before walking out of camp. For Windclan; the trip to Mouthermouth was a lot shorter; this was because the camp was closest to Mouthermouth out of all the other camps. This made it easier for Badgersoul; so he really didn't have to worry about eating travling herbs since he wasn't really traveling.
Badgersoul closed his eyes; remembering the first time him and Eclipsepaw went to mothermouth together. She was so excited; but her softspokeness made her sould scared. Eclipsepaw loved adventures; yet she always came out as shy. Badgersoul snickered again, she was actually very adorable. Always wanting adventure but stuck in her shuddering. Badgersoul lost control and gave out a laugh, deep and thundering. Badgersoul was a huge cat; he looked as if he would have been a perfect warrior. Huge bulky muscles, big paws, long fangs; it was humorous that he was chosen to be the medicine cat. Badgersoul soon found himself staring at a new cat; a new medicine cat? Badgersoul felt his heart sink, was Lillyfeather...dead?
"Good evening" Badgersoul's voice was anything but gentle. HIs voice sounded like thunder; as if it should belong to an evil cat of Bloodlust. Badgersoul's amber-green eyes stared into Honey's eyes. Burning like fire; freezing like ice. "I am Badgersoul, Medicine cat of Windclan. Who would you be?" Badgersoul knew she was a medicine cat by her stench, yet it wouldn't hurt to ask.

The half moon frightened her. Especially the half moon. It was then that The Seven Sins would kill. Would...hunt. The she-cat flinched and shook her head. She remembered when she had to go along with all of the hate. The death. The murder. Honeystripe was revolted at the idea and ran away. It was then that Avarice came after her and attempted to kill her. But then old Nighteye came and saved her. If that's what you would call it. "Good evening." The new RiverClan medicine cat jumped at the sound of a thundering, ominous voice and looked upon Badgersoul with wide, frightened eyes. She then understood that it was a fellow medicine cat and ducked her head in embarassment and licked her ruffled chest fur. Her skin grew hot under her striped fur and she tried her best to look nonchalant. "I am Badgersoul, Medicine cat of Windclan. Who would you be?" "Honeystripe. My name is Honeystripe," she murmured at the ground instead of in his face. Honeystripe had always been a quiet and shy cat. And when you thought of her dark past, there was no doubt why so. "I have been appointed as the new medicine cat of RiverClan. Lilyfeather has disappeared and to be believed...deceased..." her voice was low and lathered with mourn. She never knew the forgetful she-cat that well, but death of any kind saddened her. .what of all the things that you taught me. .what of all the things that you'd say. .what of all your prophetic preaching. .you're just throwing it all away. .maybe we should burn the house down. .have ourselves another fight. .leave the cobwebs in the closet. .'cos tearing them out is just not right.{{Lyrics from Promises by The Cranberries}}

Out of the mists of time it comes…
There was a rustling in the brush, a scattering of pine needles. This was obviously no hunter, for the pounding of the cat’s pawsteps frightened mice down their holes and birds into their trees. A shadowed form, moving swiftly through the boggy ShadowClan night as warriors had done for many seasons. She ran.
Older than the oldest rhyme it comes…
The night was clear and the starry lights of the warrior ancestors of countless thousands of cats shone brilliantly beside the plaster-white half-moon. Yes, it was time for the meeting. No other cats could do this. It was their responsibility- her responsibility- to speak with the stars for all cats. She hurried.
Coursing through our veins it comes…
The blood pounded through her ears and her heart raced as she crossed the border out of her territory. Excitement fueled the steady thump of her paws on the forest floor and spread it out into an uneven gallop. Night was her favorite time. No. It was her time. In this darkness she felt empowered, enlightened, and this inspired her to run even faster. She flew.
Pulsing through our brains it comes…
The spotted cat skidded to a halt suddenly. Looking first to the right, then to the left, she waited. No monsters. Most things were abed by now. But not she. The cat leaped to her feet and scampered across the Thunderpath. Past that, the rhythm of her pads covering the ground in great strides resumed. The cat crossed the WindClan border in one mighty bound and continued her trek. She raced.
The pure, unbridled sound of…
“Shrewspots!”
The angry yowl burst from the cat’s own throat as she glanced up at the stars for the thousandth time. “You’re going to be late again!” She cursed herself with every stride, willing her heavy paws to go faster. She had always been a fair runner, but this night she always felt turtle-slow. Shrewspots burst into the clearing before Highstones, skidding to a halt just short of the other medicine cats. How undignified. But hey, she was here. And on time, too, by the looks of things. There were only two others there. Made it! she thought triumphantly. “Where’s, uh, where’s ThunderClan?” her mouth said before her brain caught up. Ooops.
Turning to the medicine cats already present, she dropped a nod to both of them. “Greetings, Badgersoul,” she mewed at the WindClan medicine cat, trying to salvage at least some of her dignity after her kit-like entrance and rather dumb starting question. Badgersoul, she knew from previous trips to the Moonstone. But she… RiverClan by the smell of her, and scared to death by the look of her. “And good evening to you, my dear. I am Shrewspots of ShadowClan. Are you RiverClan’s new medicine cat?” Moot question, but it seemed polite to ask.
OOC: One of the longest posts I've ever written, haha! Present, Shard! Sorry for the lateness of the hour.

RiverClan Medicine Cat
.oh all the promises we made. .all the meaningless and empty words. .i prayed, prayed, prayed. .oh, all the promises we broke. .all the meaningless and empty words. .i spoke, spoke, spoke.
Slit my wrists and watch me fall... Honeystripe was afraid. Terribly afraid. Though there was no worry of danger or whatever lurked in the darkness, she was sore afraid. She cursed herself for the pointless fear. Why was she scared, though? Well, she just had the feeling of prey cornered by the hunter. The half-moon was the night of hell for her. Oh! how she didn't want to live the nightmares again! But they always came. Kick and scream... Is that all? The night was quiet, though. And she was here with a fellow medicine cat that would probably protect her. After a moment of quiet her pulse slowed down and she relaxed with a tired sigh. It was going to be a long night, and her journey wouldn't end until she returned to camp tomorrow... They would just have to wait until the other medicine cats arri-- “Where’s, uh, where’s ThunderClan?” The beautiful tabby she-cat jumped up with a bloodcurdling yowl of fear and bowled into Badgersoul. Though he gave her quite a scare when he first arrived, Honeystripe attached herself against his strong, powerful side. Shivers ran all up and down her spine and she was a blur with the impact of them. Her honey gold eyes were wide and speechless as she took in the spotted she-cat in front of her. Honeystripe wasn't a large cat at all. She was quite small. And being surrounded by larger cats that bowled out of the darkness scared her stiff. The RiverClan she-cat was to afraid to answer either of Shrewspots's questions. Scream loud... No one will hear your call...
.what of all the things that you taught me. .what of all the things that you'd say. .what of all your prophetic preaching. .you're just throwing it all away. .maybe we should burn the house down. .have ourselves another fight. .leave the cobwebs in the closet. .'cos tearing them out is just not right.

{ MINTFLOWER }{ thunderclan }Swift pawsteps flattened heather and parted grasses as the sun set. The cat's white-and-grey body dashed across the moorland, mint green eyes narrowed against the wind. The deep orange rays cast over her pelt, turning it pale orange. She dug in her claws to run faster, knowing that she was late already. The meeting would be delayed because of her unless she hurried. Ears flattened against her head, she sighed in relief as the dark mass of Highstones appeared over a hill in the distance. She pushed faster, pausing only as a stick whacked her cheek and broke her skin. But she ingored it and tore down the hill.
Mintflower skidded to a stop beside the Thunderpath. She leaning back and sat down, breathing heavily. She was almost to highstones and mothermouth. Once she'd caught her breath, she leaned forward, checked for monsters, and ran aross the hard black path. The sharp stones didn't feel at all good on her paws, so she raced forward. At last she reached Highstones. She leaped upwards from rock to rock up the hill until she reached the top and spotted the other medicine cats. The young fae padded forward, suddenly slightly intimidated. This would be her first Medicine Cat meeting as a full medicine cat. Here she would be accepted by StarClan. She came forward and sat down beside Honestripe, wrapping her tail delicately around her paws.
"Sorry I'm a bit late. Sageleaf insisted she escort me to Fourtrees with her border patrol. They kept stopping to hunt." A soft purr of amusement finished her sentence as she remembered young Cloudpaw constantly pausing to track a mouse or chase a rabbit or climbg up a tree after a squirrel. He'd make a fine hunter... Now all four medicine cats were here, the meeting would soon begin. Moonrise was close. The cats would be able to enter as soon as the sun disappeared, but the great fiery ball was still halfway above the horizon.

At Honeystripe's yowl, Shrewspots jumped and gave a caterwaul of her own. From the noise the RiverClan cat made, she thought there must be a badger behind her. She turned in a swift circle. No badger, just Badgersoul. Aaaand her own self, tumbling like an apprentice out of the dark. That must have been what frightened poor Honeystripe. Shrewspots smiled kindly at the petrified she-cat. "My apologies," she mewed smoothly as she settled down again. "I didn't mean to startle you."
Speaking of startling, Shrewspots heard pawsteps come pattering up and she lifted her nose to scent the air. She guessed, rightly, that ThunderClan had at last arrived. The spotted medicine cat hoped that Honeystripe had heard Mintflower's approach and would not be frightened again. The RiverClan she seemed rather high-strung. Shrewspots dearly hoped that it was only night terrors and that Honeystripe was not like this all the time. That sort of person got on the she-cat's nerves.
Mintflower padded up then, sitting down beside Honeystripe and commenting on her escort. Shrewspots nodded at her with a polite smile. "Well, you're here now and that's all that matters. Welcome." The young she-cat looked familiar to Shrewspots, but the she-cat couldn't remember whether she had been to Highstones before or if she had merely seen her at a Gathering, so she kept her mouth shut on that account. "Four clans, four medicine cats. All are present."

{ YOUR TEARS DON'T FALL } { THEY CRASH AROUND ME } Badgersoul felt his heart sank, Lillyfeather was gone. The thought of the clumsy medicine cat joining Starclan made the large tom feel sick to his stomach. Lillyfeather was a medicine cat when Badgersoul was merely an apprentice. Memories of the past echoed through the tom's mind. His amber-green eyes clouded as him mind was left wondering through the plains of the old Windclan. Badgersoul missed the old days; where Yarrowkit, Otterkit, and Goldenkit were still alive. The four of them always went on adventures and always got them selves in trouble. Badgersoul closed his eyes; letting the warmth of his friends fill his memories.
Badgersoul was so deep in thought; he didn't hear Shrewspots' graceful entrance. Badgersoul came back to earth when Honeystripes ran into him; causing his pelt to bristle a tad. Turning, the huge medicine cat noticed that not only Shrewspots had entered the clearing. Mintflower, the Thunderclan medicine cat, had also joined. Badgersoul let his fur lay flat again and stared down at the cowering she-cat. "Yes, this is Honeystripes, the new medicine cat of Riverclan" Badgersoul answered deeply. His hearstrings snapping when he noticed that he was now the oldest medicine cat of the four. Though Badgersoul wasn't that old; his experiences as both a medicine cat apprentice and a medicine cat made him a medicine cat longer then any other cat here, seeing that he was a medicine cat apprentice until he was eighteen moons.
Badgersoul nodded, bowing low enough to show respect. "]Very well then- shall we began?" The traveling herbs that Badgersoul had taking were making his paws tingle with energy. He was ready for what every Starclan had in store for him. Badgersoul glanced over the three she-cats. Memorizing each of there scent so that if a member from another clan cross Windcla territory. He would be able to tell if it was a medicine cat or not. Badgersoul flicked his tail, signaling that he was leaving. Turned Badgersoul started walking.

[shadow=brown,left,200]ĦŏŊėŸşŦŕĨÞĖ[/shadow] RiverClan Medicine Cat .oh all the promises we made. .all the meaningless and empty words. .i prayed, prayed, prayed. .oh, all the promises we broke. .all the meaningless and empty words. .i spoke, spoke, spoke."My apologies. "Well, you're here now and that's all that matters. Welcome. Four clans, four medicine cats. All are present." The striped she-cat had calmed down after everyone had gathered. After mumbling a quiet and embarassed apology to Badgersoul Honeystripe studied the other medicine cats carefully. Mintflower seemed to be the only other small, unintimidating cat around and that soothed Honeystripe slightly. The fur along her spine and shoulders slowly rested back to their normal position and she tilted her head and looked up at the moon. Once she got over her daily fears, she could appreciate life and the sun, moon, and stars and enjoy what life she lived in RiverClan. Though she had wished to find a more calm life, being a medicine cat wasn't all that bad. As long as cats such as Shrewspots didn't come barreling out of the shadows. Honeystripe would probably have to get used to that. "Very well then- shall we began?" The she-cat looked at the others, realizing that they had been talking as she was caught up in her thoughts. Her golden eyes widened with an odd excitement and her white paws started kneading the ground in anticipation. She was going to see StarClan! Though her faith in StarClan was slim, she believed that they were the ancestors of the Clans and that they had been watching over her. Tonight was when she was going to finally see and hear and know the proof. Right in front of her eyes. "Yes, we shall begin," meowed the fae calmly. The she-cat was mortified at making such a fool of herself, but the need to meet StarClan made the tabby quite impatient. After nodding at the others, she turned and stepped into the entrance, cold gripping her lungs and her being. Yes. She was excited... Dark. It was dark. That was the first thing that Shrewspots sensed as she traveled with the other medicine cats into the deeps of Mothermouth. The second thing was that it was freaking freezing down here. She stayed close with the others, willing their warmth to come to her. As they went deeper, it became darker. Only her pelt brushing Badgersoul's and Honeystripe's let her know that she was not alone down here.
"The Moonstone."
She said the name aloud in a harsh whisper. The sound of her voice instantly made her feel a little better. The dark was lightening and before her Shrewspots could now see the stone. The moon was already high and casting it's light on the glowing rock, making the chamber below the earth glow eerily. The medicine cats stepped into the Moonstone's home and everything took on a silver sheen. Shrewspots whispered in awe, "And all will turn to silver glass."
OOC: Sorry if it's a little godlike, moving us all into the ground like that. I can change it if anyone gets het up over it.

{ MINTFLOWER }{ thunderclan } Mintflower nodded to Honeystripe absentmindedly, trying to make er tail stop twitching with anticipation. She was living her dream, she would now be a full medicine cat. But, stabbing through her excitement, was a deep ache. Dreamheart. Her mentor had taught her so much in the five moons of her apprenticeship. But she still didn't know everything... All her doubts flashed before her eyes. She hadn't recieved a full training, even warriors had to train longer. Eleven moons was apprentice age, but here she was, ready to begin her journey on the path of a full medicine cat. Dreamheart, guide me please! she thought, before standing up and following the other medicine cats into Mothermouth.
Only the scent of the other cats told her she was going the right way. The darkness pressed into her eyes. She wrapped her tail around her back leg as her whiskers brushed the sides of the tunnel. The cold, hard stone beneath her paws was freezing. It had never seen the sun's light. At last the darkness expanded, and she stepped into the Moonstone's cavern. The stone was glowing, a star fallen from the sky set in the middle of this cave. A smile curled her mouth as she felt traces of familiar scents around her, a touch of warm fur against her flank, a flash of pale blue eyes. This scene never failed to awe her.
Mintflower glanced at the other medicine cats nervously, wondering whether she should begin. She took a pace forward and followe it with another. With slow, unsteady pawsteps she padded to the Moonstone, lay down beside it, and pressed her nose to the frigid crystal. She closed her mint-green eyes and waited for StarClan to come to her.

Nothing shaped beauty more than integrity and innocence itself was always the theme of Willowtail, the old ShadowClan Medicine Cat and mentor or Arrowpelt, Shrewspot's mentor, who retired from the position to live a life of solitude due to the loss of a friend. It grieved Willowtail to know Arrowpelt had left; he was true ShadowClan blood-- always had been. However, there was nothing the smoky she-cat could say to add words of comfort-- she herself had abandoned everything. Her love for medicine kept her whole-- kept her sane.
Her stiff gaze now looked down from StarClan and right onto the nervous pelts of the four cats gathered. Wind, Thunder, Shadow, and River all together for one, common reason. This pleased her. Medicine Cat meetings were her special favorite.
Another cat now joined her. A pelt familiar to the Clans for it was Dreamheart, Brownstar's near friend who passed away to save another cat. Mintflower's old mentor. Dreamheart had but a look of happiness as she smiled onto Mintflower.
The cave now darkened and the two gathered cats could be seen as the looked at the faces of the the four standing there. The Medicine Cat meetings had begun-- StarClan was here. Willowtail was first to speak, "Hello, my friends and fellow Clan member, welcome to Mothermouth and our meeting at the half moon. Nice to see you all make it; it's always good to see cats so devoted to our breathless cause of heeling."
Dreamheart nodded in agreement, before letting her voice be heard. "Hello Mintflower, it is, as always, a pleasure to see you working hard for ThunderClan. Brownstar needs you. Now, more than ever. Her heart is heavy and pain clouds her expression and vision, making it hard for her to see. Be careful and watch over your Clan... our Clan." She then smiled and paused, before turning to Badgersoul and and Honeystripe. "Welcome to our two newest Medicine Cats. I am sure you will do well, for you were both approved by the highest of StarClan."

{RiverClan Medicine Cat}
.oh all the promises we made. .all the meaningless and empty words. .i prayed, prayed, prayed. .oh, all the promises we broke. .all the meaningless and empty words. .i spoke, spoke, spoke.
Fear tingling in her paws and the beautiful sight before her quivering, Honeystripe followed Mintflower's lead and laid next to the young ThunderClan medicine cat. She took a few deep breaths and touched her nose to the cold stone. A wave of an unnatural prescence and cold gripped her and made her body freeze into a stone. The frightful she-cat stared at the glittering Moonstone a moment longer and closed her eyes. The others were there with her. But she could sense others besides her fellows. Who were they? Was it possibly StarClan? Honey-gold eyes opened to see a sight to behold. The past medicine cats were there! In star and light! Not alive, but there. Honeystripe could not believe what she saw... But deep in her heart, she accepted the Clans' beliefs and took to mind that StarClan watched over all that followed the warrior code. "Hello, my friends and fellow Clan member, welcome to Mothermouth and our meeting at the half moon. Nice to see you all make it; it's always good to see cats so devoted to our breathless cause of healing." Though the breathless tabby was in awe, Honeystripe took time to glance around. The comforting prescence of Badgersoul, MIntflower, and Shrewspots were there, accompanied by the StarClan ranks of Willowtail and Dreamheart. But no Lilyfeather? And where was the rest of StarClan? Honeystripe felt despair drop in her chest like a stone. Was Lilyfeather not here to guide her? Who would then? "Hello Mintflower, it is, as always, a pleasure to see you working hard for ThunderClan. Brownstar needs you. Now, more than ever. Her heart is heavy and pain clouds her expression and vision, making it hard for her to see. Be careful and watch over your Clan... our Clan... Welcome to our two newest Medicine Cats. I am sure you will do well, for you were both approved by the highest of StarClan." Honeystripe stiffened when the former ThunderClan medicine cat turned to her. With a quick blink of her golden eyes and a dip of her small, fragile head she murmured: "Thank you, Dreamheart." After a moment of pondering she thought to ask. "What of Lilyfeather? Is she--" Honeystripe couldn't bring herself to say if her friend and companion was dead. .what of all the things that you taught me. .what of all the things that you'd say. .what of all your prophetic preaching. .you're just throwing it all away. .maybe we should burn the house down. .have ourselves another fight. .leave the cobwebs in the closet. .'cos tearing them out is just not right. {{Lyrics from Promises by The Cranberries}}

{ MINTFLOWER }{ thunderclan } The small white she-cat lay on the ground. All around her was silent. But suddenly, a brisk wind buffeted her fur and her mint-green eyes snapped open. Her eyes were opened wide an awe as she saw the StarClan at before her. It was Willowtail, a medicine cat whom she'd seen at her last meeting. She got to her paws and dipped her head respectfully. Then another cat appeared. "Dreamheart!" she whispered, eyes sparkling with renewed grief for losing her mentor, and then happiness for seeing her yet again. As a medicine cat, she was extremely lucky: Never would she have to part from those she loved, for they had the ability to walk in her dreams.
Hello Mintflower, it is, as always, a pleasure to see you working hard for ThunderClan. Brownstar needs you. Now, more than ever. Her heart is heavy and pain clouds her expression and vision, making it hard for her to see. Be careful and watch over your Clan... our Clan." The former ThunderClan medicine cat meowed to Mintflower. Mintflower's own eyes clouded with worry. "Yes Dreamheart. I will try my best to guide Brownstar through her troubles, as she always had for me when I joined ThunderClan." She smiled bracingly, as though reassuring herself that yes, it was her job, and that she could do whatever was nessecary.

{ YOUR TEARS DON'T FALL } { THEY CRASH AROUND ME } [oh oh cee] Bad post; tis sorry :c I ran out of ideas [/oh oh cee] Badgersoul followed behind the she-cats as they approached the cavern. Badgersoul wrinkled his nose at the smell of pure earth and the thought of being cramped in a small cave...yet again. The big black and white tom would have much rather fallen asleep under the stars, like he normal did, yet the thought of speaking to Starclan again made him continue on. Once Badgersoul entered the cave he was nearly blinded by the stone. Badgersoul had only been to see Starclan once as an apprentice, after the war things were to bad for any of the medicine cats to go.
Badgersoul slowly made his way over to the stone; placing his pink nose to the cold stone. Soon the black tom was fast asleep. When Badgersoul awoke, he found himself in front of a few Starclan medicine cats. Badgersoul said nothing when they spoke; his eyes staring at the ones in front of him. This was the first time he had ever had a dream with all the medicine cats in it. HE glanced over at them and snorted angerly. He silently wondered if his old mentor would be coming, the thought made shivers run down his spine. The medicine cat had disappeared like so many of the other cats did. Letting out a shaky sigh; Badgersoul listen closely to what the medicine cats had to say.

Dreamheart only let out a simple smile, nodding in response to Mintflower's response on Brownstar. Dreamheart's heart ached deeply for her old friend. Her own death had hit her hard, and even after appearing to her in a dream, she knew that her dear old brown friend missed her dearly, same as she missed Graymist and Stormstar, her other two close friends.
Willowtail smiled softly at Shrewspots, who still had not replied or said much. He's young-- maybe he's shocked and not used to all the commotion, she thought to herself. My, what a young medicine cat. They seem to get younger and younger in ShadowClan! Although this worried her due to Windchaser's depression and Flailstar's new control. He was a young leader. Much younger that Windchaser, and Willowtail hoped Windchaser would guide him, but Willowtail had to be sure. This was her Clan.
"Medicine Cats," Dreamheart began, "Now that we have begun, I want to welcome all of you to our first meeting. It is wonderful to see our old friends, and new faces as well. Please do not fear us, why we are only hear to help and guide you as best we can. There is trouble ahead, and the Clans will need the four of you, even though you are all very young, to guide them through perilous times. I know you're all ready. We can sense the passion going through your veins."
"You're all special. You've all been chosen by StarClan when you came as apprentices. Don't give up through these tough times. The Clans need your young spirits to cast shadows on the old leaders," Willowtail continued.
The two Medicine Cats were now sitting promptly on the ground, staring into each young face staring back at them. Willowtail felt it was important to stress the perilous, but not unbeatable journey ahead.

Shrewspots was silent, drinking in the presence of the starry cats. She was in awe of them; these cats who once walked the very spaces where her paws now rested and now spoke to them from beyond the grave. Doubtless the dead deserved the highest respect. But it was beginning to get on her nerves how they constantly pointed out how young all the medicine cats were. But the spotted lady held her peace and watched and listened to Willowtail and Dreamheart speak to the gathered medicine cats. They spoke of perilous times, and fearful hearts. Shrewspots suppressed a snort. They were medicine cats, what fool among them would fear the very ones they had sought out? The cat's green eyes flicked to Honeystripe for a fraction of a second before returning to the StarClan cats. Well, there were some...

{ MINTFLOWER }{ thunderclan }Mintflower blinked slowly at Dreamheart's smile, and her own lips drew back into a curve. The pale grey tip of her tail twitched in anticipation, just begging for the StarClan cats to speak. And then they did. But the blood in her veins chilled at the last words...
"You're all special. You've all been chosen by StarClan when you came as apprentices. Don't give up through these tough times. The Clans need your young spirits to cast shadows on the old leaders."
Tough times. These would obviously not be easy moons. She breathed deeply, closing her mint-green eyes for a heartbeat and forcing her speckled for to lie flat. And then she opened them. A fire raged in the orbs, a fire of loyalty and pure desire to help her clan through the tough times ahead. Yes,these would be hard moons.
