Autumn stalked though the overgrown plants. She stopped, taking in a breath of the familiar, yet alien air. This used to be her garden, but after the fire, it had been neglected. It smelled of that horrible day, or at least it did to her. She closed her eyes, remembering the bright flames, remembering the feel of them brushing across her fur. Even after two moons it still hurt. She shook her head, clearing her mind of the memory and opening them again. Autumn was starving to death. If she didn't catch anything tonight she would become to weak to hunt. She stepped forward, listening. She heard something moving in the underbrush, but it wasn't prey. Her fur raised and she looked around. The clan cats were supposed to be at a gathering, but there were a few left behind. "Who's there?" She growled, hoping she didn't scare away any fresh kill. She remained in the shadows, her face hidden. She waited silently for the intruder to speak and reveal their location to her.

Brindlefaec Picked up her kit and walked closer and then her other kit followed after her mtoher, she set the kit down adn grabbed the other, pulled them closer to her and then wrapped her tail around them to keep them warm "ashclaw are you new and what clan are you from?" brindleface meowed in a low voice.

Autumn saw the shadows move and felt someone walk beside her. She heard another cat come from the shadows. She suddenly hissed, and backed away, her reamining fur bristling. "Who are you, and what do you want?" She hissed, not answering Ashclaw's question. She thrashed her tail, waiting for a reply.

" I am brindleface and I am a clan cat don't fear me I have only come back to find somewere to sleep for the night and then I saw you but don't worry it's just me ashclaw and my kits" she meowed in a nice voice very calm. "who are you?" she looked at the thin cat " are you hungry?" she asked another question "huh I understand that you dislike us clan cats but don't worry" she gave a little growl and then went on cleaning her kits.

"This isn't a good place to sleep." Autumn growled, but her fur settled now, having seen they were no threat to her. "I am Autumn, the guardian of this place, and i'm not worried about a queen and her kits." She sat down, deciding to listen to what these cats had to say. "Yes, I am very hungry." She added, her stomach growling like a beast.

" I can get you some food if you like but you will need to watch my two kits" she meowed happily "Autumn will you watch them cause all the clan cats are at the gathering except me.." she trailed off looking at her kits " these kits are half kittypet so there pretty sweet so you'll like them" she purred with amusement and thoughfullness of the kits. " I shal catch you somethig okay" she looked at the cat and waited for a reply.

"The fact they're half kitteypet mean nothing to me." hissed Autumn, but she sat next to the kits all the same. She'd never been this close to kits before, and she watched them with a growing sense of curiousity.

brindleface ran off into a part of the forest to catch a vole and a rabbit. She carried the rabbit and vole in her mouth and dropped the rabit in front of Autumn "here eat " she nudded the rabbit closer "here" she repeated the kits ran toward there mother squealing brindleface sat down and started eating the vole.
"mother can we share tongues with Autumn" the youngest one moonkit squeeled.
"Can we mother I would love that" whiskerkit mewed
"ask her" is all brindleface said "ask her" she purred with amusement

"No," Autumn said sternly. She had quickly devoured the rabbit, and still felt hungry after it. For now though, her hunger had been relieave, if only slightly. She didn't bother trying to grrom the few patches of fur she had left, not wanting to taste the ash after the rabbit. "The house is ashy, and there's broken glass. It would be best if you stayed here." She told Brindleface, her vice expressionless.

"huh moonkit, whiskerkit Autumn does not wish to share tongues but we shall stay here for the night as what Autumn said" her meow sound exausted and the kits mewed over and over complaining how they wanted to share tongues with autumn. ""Good night kits and autumn hope to see you in the shadows" her meow was sweet but tired and wiry. "by any chances Autumn do you know a kittypet names patches?" she questioned while holding still for a moment "if you do when you see him tell him I would like to meet him at the fence along the side".

"I don't know a cat by the name of Patches, but if i meet one, i'll be sure to deliver your message." Autumn replied, getting up. She headed off in the direaction of the house.

Brindleface rose up and arched her back hissing in rage "who are you and what do you want snooping around in other cats business" she hissed and yowled. Showing her teeth and hissing.
Moonkit struggled behind her mother.
Whiskerkit ran and hide behind her sister

Autunm hissed, turning to face the newcomer. This is what happenes when you let strangers in, Autumn thought darkly to herself. "What do you want here, stranger?" She asked, her claws unsheathed, and ready for use.

Brindleface's kits were squeeling in terror. "shh" she mewoed calmer
"Autumn I would perfer to sleep in part of the house, I do not wish to have one of my kits stolen from some cat!!' she mewoed.

Autumn sighed. "Alright, follow me and step only where I step." Autumn hissed, heading to the house. It was a wreck, with a few walls having crumbled. She went though what was once the front door. there she waited for the others to catch up.

Brindlface picked up moonkit and carried her, whiskerkit waddled behind her mother.
The house looked awful but this was sthe first time she had been in a kitypet's huose before so she needed to enjoy it. She step where ever Autumn stepped until she stopped.

"Don't go onto the second floor. It's unstabble, and you could easily fall through the floor if you don't know the way." Autumn said. She led the to a corner of what was once a living room. ther were the remains of a chair, wich could provide them a place to sleep. Autumn stood next to them, watching the small family though expressionless gold colored eyes.

whiskerkit jumped up helplessly but soon got a good grabb of the furniture.

Autumn watched silently for a moment and than wandered away. She headed towards the staircase, despite the warnigh she'd given to the others about the second floor.

Whiskerkit woke up, and saw the cat walk away to the up stairs, she jumped down and follow her making her steps light as a feathers.

Autumn wasn't paying attention to any noises in the house. She was lost in memory, remembering her two legs and every little thing they did. She cherished every moment she remembered with them. So she didn't notice the kit following her. She lept quietly pas a squeaky stair and looked around the second floor. It was even worse up her, with pieces of the floor missing and everything severly damaged. Autumn stepped lightly to one side, careful not to step foreward onto a weakened section of the floor.

Whiskerkit stared at autumn and followed her steps, she was so curious..she looked around at the horrible place, seeing it all in her mind how it happened and when, she got scared at the thoughts how horrible.

Autumn stopped, and felt a slight prickling sensation at the back of her mind. Something was not right here. She sensed something was off, and quickly turned around...

whiskerkit huddled, close to Autumn her mind was out of control, she got scared and cried a scared mew, she sniffed in the scent of cinnimon and food, two leg food, the good things that where left before the fire, whiskerkit just cried in Autumn's pelt wanting confort.

Autumn heard and felt Whiskerkit before she saw her. 'What the-" She muttered. At first she was angry at the kit for disobeying her, but than she saw how afraid Whiskerkit was, and for a moment let her anger go. The little kit's fear-scent was strong, and Autumn sighed. 'It's alright." She said, trying her best to sound comforting. "Nothing's going to hurt you up here."

"It... so scary Autumn, are you going in to potect me" she cried as she looked into Autumns eyes, "I wuv you Autumn" the little kit mewed as she cried more into Aumtumns pelt.

Autumn gave the kit's head a quick lick, trying to calm her down. It was unsettling for Autumn to be in such close contact with another cat. "Don't worry, nothing's going to hurt you." She repaeted her last sentance. "If you follow me, I'll take you back to your mother."
