If an apprientice could sniff them out, why couldn't a warrior. They would have to find a new place soon. Sleeppaw just remembered that he hadn't answered Orangepaw's question." Oh, and, as for right now, I will not be going back to Thunderclan. But if you keep visiting me and Eclipsepaw every so often, I'll give you an update. Has anyone noticed my absence?" Sleeppaw wanted to know if he leaving was causing chaos in Thunderclan...

Can you really live with guilt in your heart?

"You are, are you?" asked a sudden, strange, yet unique, voice as two green orbs popped out some nearby, green bushes. The voice was that of Brownstar, the old, rather strict ThunderClan leader who had, like many days, decided to hunt on herself and meditate on the Clan's progress, regress, and just over success over the last few moons of the Clan's history. Her question was not of anger, sadness, or strict, but more of a kit asking tons of questions to an elder, trying to learn and grip onto everything thats said.

Brownstar was not much different from other cats. When she heard something interesting, new, daring, her attention turned to wards it, and even though she knew it was wrong, it made it all the more fun to listen in and hear what should not most likely be said in the first place. Although her heart went to wards the two young apprentices, there was nothing she could say or justify to make what was going on right. Meeting under these circumstances is against the warrior code... If only I had my dear Dreamheart to speak to me, tell me what I should do... advise me.

"Come, Sleeppaw, I do believe you and Orangepaw have some explaining to do not just to me, but to Flightfall and the rest of the warriors-- not to mention your mentors who should be watching you." Her tone was now strengthening, becoming more stern and strict as her burning globes stared right into theirs. Come Brownie, you, yourself, had done the same thing, crossing borders... who are you to say all this?

No, I must. I need to be their example that this is wrong, no matter what I did. I know what I did was against the code, no matter how strong our bond was. This should be broken, before it gets too late. Her thoughts ranged back to Grayheart and Moonstar, the two ShadowClan warriors who had befriended Dreamheart and Brownstar. Why is the warrior code so hard?[/size]

Sleeppaw just about jumped out of his fur when Brownstar walked into the SkyNest. Sleeppaw though it was bad that Orangepaw had found out about him and Eclipsepaw, but now Brownstar! The Thunderclan leader. Sleeppaw had to be strong for Eclipsepaw and himself, knowing that Eclipsepaw would never back talk to a leader. Sleeppaw started talking very coolly," Yes, Brownstar, I am, I am leaving Thunderclan to be with my beloved, Eclipsepaw. So no...I will not come with you. I'm sorry it had to be this way, but I can not leave Eclipsepaw." Sleeppaw gradually picked up confidence as he spoke."You can yell at me and tell me I'm in the wrong, but it won't affect me. I've made my decision and I'm remaining faithful to it."

Sleeppaw stared directly at Brownstar the whole time, unflinching. I know this sounds crazy, but what if Brownstar attack me. There'd be no way in Starclan that I would be able to defend myself.Sleeppaw started backing away keeping Eclipsepaw behind him. He whispered to Eclipsepaw, " Don't be a hero..if anything goes wrong, get out of here." Sleeppaw then walked back to Brownstar and said, " I am leaving now. You can tell the others that I loved them dearly, but this just had to be. Again, I am sorry Brownstar, it was an honor to serve in your clan." Sleeppaw then walked back to Eclipsepaw and waited for Brownstar's response...

Brownstar

Grief is like an ocean, it deep and dark and can eventually kill us

Brownstar's only movement was while the apprentice was speaking her final words as a ThunderClan cat; the light, gentle breeze tickled her brown ears, making them move involuntarily. Otherwise, her entire body was dead still, her blue gaze staring now only into Sleeppaw's own equally tense gaze. He reminds me so much of Sprinklestorm, and myself after I kicked her out, she thought to herself, remembering the time Sprinklestorm was forced to leave ThunderClan by her own will... or the will of the Dark Night more of.

"Well then, my dear, have a nice life," she said coldly, as if her entire stance and being had changed into the terrible cat that she had been all those moons ago. "I see your training has been a waste, everything this Clan has done for you, useless. I see you have NO respect for me or StarClan." She paused, taking in a deep breath. "You may leave as you wish, but mark my words, Sleeppaw, you were NEVER a ThunderClan cat... and if I see you on my territory again, the warriors have permission to run you off with force." The words came out more vile and cold as her eye turned turned into blazing fires and her head heated with pity and anguish.

"Orangepaw, come. We have no business left with these two. You choose loyalty or exile." The ultimatum was great, but she had to know who was loyal to her in these dark times, and who was a traitor.

She had failed.

But it did not matter. Brownstar would deal with the problem. She always did. Even though there was no one close to her left, she had to remain loyal to the warrior code, it's what got her through all her hard times and struggles. She had a Clan to protect and punish when needed. This was her duty to enforce the Warrior code.

Kindness never worked anymore. She could no longer take pity on her Clan. Everything was getting out of control; she had to fix it now before it got worse.

Eclipsepaw froze; a drum playing inside her heart.

A beautiful she-cat, older but none the less gorgeous, walked up. Such a full brown pelt covered the she-cat's figure, full eyes staring into Eclipsepaw's pelt. Burning, like a thousands rays on the hottest of days. Eclipsepaw felt shame boil deep with in her; and the truth hit her.

Silently Eclipsepaw backed even farther back; feeling even more pathetic. Silently the little gray apprentice listened to the leader's words- and then Sleeppaws. Fear stuck through the apprentice's body. What was Sleeppaw doing? Couldn't he see that it was over, they had been found. There was no way that they could live the way they were living. Eclipsepaw had run away for many reasons; one was to be with Sleeppaw- yet she was much more focused on making Badgersoul feel bad. She had mainly run away because he had chosen a new medicine apprentice- or would be shortly. She was angry and, liek all little she-cats, wanted to make Badgersoul feel bad for unapprenticing her.

Eclipsepaw opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. She wanted to warn Sleeppaw, to tell him that he should go back to Thunderclan. Yet, like always, Eclipsepaw was to frighten to even protect her dearest friend.

Orangepaw stood, motionless, as Brownstar appeared in SkyNest. Her breath caught in her throat, her heart thudding in her chest. Sleeppaw and Eclipsepaw... Brownstar had found them. What would she do? Sleeppaw said he had planned to leave anyway but now... now he didn't have a choice. Orangepaw listened to Brownstar's words, too terrified to move.
"You may leave as you wish, but mark my words, Sleeppaw, you were NEVER a ThunderClan cat... and if I see you on my territory again, the warriors have permission to run you off with force."
She couldn't believe it, but it had happened. Sleeppaw had been exiled from ThunderClan. Orangepaw wanted to yowl out that it wasn't fair, but she wasn't sure what to say. Sleeppaw was breaking the Warrior Code by seeing Eclipsepaw. Brownstar had every right to exile him.
"Orangepaw, come. We have no business left with these two. You choose loyalty or exile."
The ginger apprentice stared at her leader with wide amber eyes. Then, taking timid and slow steps, she moved toward Brownstar. Orangepaw couldn't afford to be exiled, where did she have to go? The small ginger apprentice stood beside Brownstar, her eyes moving to her midnight black paws. She didn't know what to say.

Sleeppaw heard Brownstar's harsh words that, surprisingly, had no affect to him. He didn't care what Brownstar said. It spooked himself, knowing that he had already forgotten about how much Thunderclan mean't to him. " You are exiled" Sleeppaw couldn't actually believe that it would be so easy to leave a clan, no consequences at all, really.

Then he watched Orangepaw slowly trod over to Brownstar. Good choice, Orangepaw. Sleeppaw was now going to give his good bye to Orangepaw, his only friend in Thunderclan." I'm sorry, Orangepaw, I must go now. You were a great friend to me while I was a clanner. I actually owe you my life...remember the fox attack? If you weren't there, I would've died long ago. So again, I thank you." Sleeppaw alked back to Eclipsepaw and said, " Come on, Eclipsepaw, let's leave Thunderclan territory before Brownstar has a fit." Then Sleeppaw started walking out of SkyNest.

Orangepaw didn't want to lift her eyes from her paws. She felt horrible, but she didn't know why. She shut her amber eyes, wanting to open them and find this all to be a dream. Sleeppaw was her best friend, almost like a brother to her at times. Orangepaw didn't want to think of how badly she'd miss him. Most likely, this would be the last time she'd ever even see him again. She couldn't sneak off the territory all the time to visit him and Eclipsepaw, and Sleeppaw was now forbidden from ThunderClan territory. Orangepaw looked desperately at Brownstar for a moment, until Sleeppaw's words caused her to look back at her friend.
"I'm sorry, Orangepaw, I must go now. You were a great friend to me while I was a clanner." She smiled at him, though she shook her head at the same time. "Don't be sorry," she mewed, voice softer then it had ever really been before. She didn't want to say these words. She didn't want to say goodbye. "I just want you to be happy. I wish you both the best of luck."

I actually owe you my life...remember the fox attack? If you weren't there, I would've died long ago. So again, I thank you."
Ah, the fox attack. That was something Orangepaw would never forget. That terrifying day... so much had happened. That was the day she and Sleeppaw had struck a friendship together. Truthfully, they had both saved each other.
"Hey, you saved me too," she meowed. "If you hadn't distracted the fox while I snuck into the tree, I would've been crowfood. So I thank you too, Sleeppaw." Her amber eyes clouded sadly. This was it. Her expression didn't hide the sorrow she felt. It was never easy to lose a friend. "Remember, I'm always here for you, like I said before. Bye Sleeppaw, I'll miss you."
Orangepaw watched as Sleeppaw started to leave the SkyNest, beckoning Eclipsepaw to follow him. Orangepaw stayed rooted beside Brownstar, not able to say anything more.

Brownstar

Love can last forever... but so can hate

There was nothing Brownstar could say or do to stop these star-crossed lover from being together. What could she do? The obvious attraction Eclipsepaw and Sleeppaw felt for each other was too strong for Brownstar, or even StarClan, to break. "Good, Orangepaw, you made the right decision." The words were uttered with deep sorrow and pity as the fire in her eyes died and her throat twisted, not letting her say anything else her heart deeply wanted to say to this dear apprentice.

"Your choice is made, Sleeppaw. I hope it is worth it," she meowed less coldly, and more seriously. "It's a big decision to walk away from everything you've even known. A Clan that deeply loved you." Brownstar abruptly stopped for she knew if she continued, her anger and anguish would only dwell upon her soul, making her scream and yell even more than she already had at these three apprentices.

The wind turned a bit warmer, but still remained a cool breeze, mirroring her attitude to wards the three cats standing openly in front of her. There was no holding back her sadness, that was as open as the WindClan fields, but there was the holding back of anger. It had never solved anything in the past.

Never.

Eclipsepaw- or was it Eclipse now?
Eclipse turned towards Sleep; thoughts running through her mind. If they were going to be loners; what would there names be? Sleep- would he keep his name or go with something else like; Dream or Nightmare; Silence, Rest, Cloud. So many names ran through her mind. For her? She loved her name; it was the name her beloved mother Burningwing gave to her- never would she loose it.

Eclipse listened silently to Sleeppaw's words; he was so brave compared to her. So sturdy, willing to risk everything just for her. It made her feel awful; guilt dripping down her throat. Eclipse wanted to do something; anything to help Sleeppaw. She pushed herself closer to Sleeppaw; hoping that to give him her strength some way or another. Licking his shoulder shyly; nuzzling into his pelt. "Thank you" even she could barely hear herself speak. Only a whisper of what the words should have been were launched into the world. "Thank you so very, very much"
Come on, Eclipsepaw, let's leave Thunderclan territory before Brownstar has a fit."
Eclipse bounded after the grey tom; not wanting to be left alone with the powerful leader infront of her.

Sleep waited outside for Eclipse to join him. In a matter of seconds, she appeared. Thousands of thoughts raced through Sleep's head. Where should we go? What will out names be? I certainly don't like "Sleep".Where will we find food? Sleep was actually worried for once that the decision was a stupid one. But then he stared into Eclipse's eyes and awed at her beauty, forgeting all the difficulties that lay ahead." We're finally out, Eclipse, we're finally free of our clans." Sleep walked over and licked Eclipse's ear softly. Then he laid down right next to Eclipse and said, I love you so much..."

Eclipse smiled down at Sleeppaw; majestic pelt blowing around her in the cool leaffall winds. Her enchanting orbs stared into the mimicking color of her lover, her friend, her mate. Eclipse turned her head infront of her; staring at the beautiful sky above. Staring at where Starclan once watched over her; "Bloodclan" she whispered simpley as memories of the story of Bloodclan came racing into her mind, her spine tingling with a mixture of fear and hope. "Maybe... Somehow-we could live like they did" Her voice was soft; giving off a soft lullaby; like a broken music box. Eclipse closed her eyes and hummed a melody(click here to listen to song)

Her voice cracked her and there; as the song whispered out of her throat. Her bewitching orbs closed; as if the humming was taking over her soul- "Bum bum bum- da dum" she swished her tail around her paws. "Da da da dum". Soon her humming turned into a song; a quite, beautiful song. "The Mouth of Justice is meditating wisdom,
and his tongue is speaking of a sign." Slowly Eclipse opened her eyes "A happy man who suffers temptation,Since he is with approval, they receive the crown of life."

Sleep pondered as Eclipse mentioned the name Bloodclan.We could live like them, I guess. We could live outside the Forest, in Kittypet place. Together we're a force to be reckoned with. Dogs wouldn't be much of a problem, since we are easily smarter than those dumb animals. Kittypets would stray clear of us, no doubt in that.

Before Sleep could reply to Eclipse's suggestion, he heard Eclipse making some strange noises. At first he thought that Eclipse was crying, so he hurried over to her, but before he could say anything, Eclipse began to sing. Now, Sleep had never heard Eclipse sing before, or any cat at that matter, so this lulluby, as it seemed, was beautiful. As it ended, Sleep said, " T-That was.....amazing. You create that song yourself?"

Eclipse turned and felt her ear's grow hot with embarrassments; 'N-No... Badgersoul use to sing it. Well not really sing it- more like whisper it. He would hum the tune while working and whisper the song while thinking." Eclipse let the song wrap around her body; letting the melody calm her mind and yet the same time excite her. Eclipse always had strange feelings; we at least when she was around him. "Where will we go" she whispered to herself, to the song, to her family, to Badgersoul. "Badgersoul... I am so so sorry" she whispered to herself. Feeling guilt and sorrow take over her mind as she imagined the black and white tabby running through the rain. Screaming out her name, screaming for her to come back. Asking Starclan; pleading to Starclan to not take another one of his beloveds. Not to leave him again; scream, pleading, breaking. Eclipse shut her eyes; trying to force out the sick feelings in her stomach. "W-We should look for a place to stay for the night" She whispered

Sleep nodded his head as Eclipse said the name Badgersoul, knowing that her time in Winclan's medicine den." You still miss the Clans don't you?" Then Sleep thought about where we would go. We could head south. It's unknown down there though. We could head north, but then we'd be close to Highstones, which he knew would upset Eclipse." We can either head north or south, your decision. I don't mind." then he heard Eclipse say, Where should we stay for the night. So Sleep replied in his normal manner," Well, that depends on which way we want to go. If south, we'll walk south until sundown, or if north, we'll walk nouth until sundown. So, again....your decision."

Eclipse nodded; her mind racing through her memories of the clans. She knew when she decided where to go; she could never come back. She would never be able to see her father again, her mother, her siblings, her friends, Badgersoul. All of them would be only a forgotten dream in her mind, Eclipse thought of the lullaby. She knew she would hold it in her heart forever. Eclipse glanced into the forest once more; sorrow burning through her mind. "I miss the clans; but I know that is wasn't meant for me"no turning back"Lets go South; North is... is to..." she caught herself and stared into Sleeppaw's eyes. Hoping he would understand. "It is to... " she tried once more the tell him how she felt but she couldn't bring herself to say it. it is a place where Starclan's most trusted cats go; I am not one of them anymore...

Sleep nodded his head as Eclipse replied "South". Sleep knew that she would, seeing as she would think that Highstones would just make her feel bad, which she stated after her first reply. As Eclipse looked into his eyes after troubling to say the obvious, Sleep moved closer to Eclipse and said," I know what you mean" So, now that the major decision had been made, he decided that they should start heading off before sundown, or it would be almost impossible to see where they are. Sleep started walking south, away from Skynest and the old Clans. About twenty feet away Sleep looked back and said," C'mon Eclipse, it's time we started our new lives together outside of the Clans. Don't worry, I'll take care of you."

Eclipse felt like she was going to cry. Seeing Sleeppaw there; staring back at her with bewitching blue eyes. Eclipse smiled and bounded up next to him. Her grey dappled pelt blending into to his'. Eclipse licked her loved one's shoulder. Her blue eyes shone lovingly at her beloved. Nodding her head; Eclipse walked a few more paces. He knew he would take care of her. He had always taken care of her. Eclipse let a purr escape her throat; filling her being.

Sleep was happier than ever. They had successfully escaped the Clans with his beloved. They had kept their heads straight, not straying off to the wrong path of a rogue, they would be loners. Peaceful, loving loners. Sleep could picture it now.

Sleep now thought about his name, how it just sickened him to say it.Sleep. He had been argueing with himself for a while now, but he finally decided on Wake." What do you think about Wake? As my new name. Would you mind it? or Do you wan t my name to stay Sleep?" Sleep wouldn't ever decide anything without Eclipse's consent, it just didn't feel right.

Eclipse smiled and ran ahead of Sleeppaw; her eyes shimmering with joy. She nodded and paced a few steps forward "this is the beginning of an adventure- a beautiful adventure..." she whispered. Eclipse glanced back at Sleep "W-Wake? I like Dream or Nightmare more... Or maybe Guardian... Moon?... I-I don't know. It is your name; what ever you like I like" Eclipse licked Sleeppaw's cheek and smiled before bounding forward. Eclipse jumped forward; bounding towards the huge two-leg nests. Towards there new home. "Where ever we go; I will be happy. Just as long as I am with him'

Sleep just couldn't help smiling as Eclipse licked his cheek and bounded forward, showing that she was ready to move on. This is how life should be, being with the one you love dearly and moving forward, forgetting the past.

Then Sleep thought of what Eclipse had said about his name. I really like Wake, and the others are too different...Wake it is. Wake sped up to Eclipse and playfully jumped on her, having too much fun to care. I've decided on Wake. It suits us well. We opened our eyes, or woke up, and saw that the clans were tearing up apart. So we left them. Now, my name shall be Wake, to remind us that of our unwaivering love and devotion for each other, not like we don't know already. Then Sleep smirked and said, " And I think that the kits would like it." Sleep, now jumbled up with Eclipse, awaited to see if she shared his happiness on the thought of kits...

Eclipse laughed as she was forced onto the ground by Wake's weight; her beautiful blue eyes sparkled with joy. "I've decided on Wake. It suits us well. We opened our eyes, or woke up, and saw that the clans were tearing up apart. So we left them. Now, my name shall be Wake, to remind us that of our unwaivering love and devotion for each other, not like we don't know already." Eclipse felt a bittersweetness grab her stomach, turning a few butterflies to stone. Though Eclipse agreed with Wake and certainly loved him more then any cat she had ever met. She still loved her mother, Burningwing; her father, Demonheart; he mentor, Badgersoul; and her brother, Scorchingpaw. Never could she turn her back on them. Eclipse also still felt a loyalty to Windclan, and Starclan for that matter.

Eclipse jumped up and bounded a few steps forward; eager to change the subject. When the word's from Wake's mouth made her heart explode. " And I think that the kits would like it." Eclipse felt her ears grow red; how old was she? Quickly Eclipse counted the moons, eleven- twelve by next gathering. Eclipse's embarrassment was exchanged with happiness. She had help give birth to so many kits. Each time wishing that could be her. Now, finally, she could be a mother. Eclipse blushed at the thought of mating with Wake. The thought had never crossed her mind before, "It dose fit us, and I am sure ...they...would..l-like it" Her voice came out as a whisper in both excitement and embarrassment. Eclipse nuzzled deep into her mate's pelt.

Wake felt a little odd as Eclipse made an awkward face, thinking that she didn't want kits, but that soon faded as he realized that she hadn't thought about having kits before. " It does fit us.......I like it." Wake was puzzled for a moment, but quickly understood.

Now it was time for they to leave the Forest and all of the Clans. Wake knew that Eclipse would be taking it hard since she actually had people that she cared about in her clan. The only cats that Wake cared for in his clan were Orangepaw and Nightpaw, his brother. He knew that they would pull through without him though.

Wake never stopped smiling, he thought that his face would stick if he held it any longer, but he couldn't stop...he was in love. Wake gave Eclipse a quick lick on the ear and cheek and then said, "It would be best if we were to get going, I would advise to stay near the grasslands, so that we can hunt and scavenge for herbs when needed." Wake was glad now that Eclipse was wanting to be a medicine cat apprentice, because she'll know more about the herbs than he would. Wake looked ahead and so the vast amounts of Twoleg nests. " We should just head along the the line of the boundary until it gets too dark, then I'll hunt for us and we can rest."

Eclipse nodded; herbs would be nice and so would fresh prey. She looked up at the sun as it slowly drifted down. Fear trickled through Eclipse at the thought of living among the two-legs; then a thought hit her. Did loners go to Starclan? Eclipse pressed herself against Wake for comfort. Did Eclipse really have enough strength to do this? OR would she go running back to the clans, like she always did. Eclipse bounded towards the boundary; taking it slow so that Wake could catch up with her. She wanted to get as far away from her old memories as she could. Badgersoul wouldn't be there to save her anymore; she had only herself. Eclipse glanced behind her to make sure her beloved was following her.

Wake had to speed up a bit to catch up with Eclipse. Wake knew that Eclipse had her doubts and he was surprised that she hasn't started the talk of Starclan or heading back. Wake took the lead and was strafing the side of a Twoleg fence, hoping to find a good spot to rest for the night.

After walking for what seemed like hours, Wake thought he had found the perfect spot. As he examined it, it struck him as odd to see that this place looked like an old clan camp. It had burrows and dens that we either broken or gone. It had a big rock near one of the dens, and a den that had a tunnel leading into the ground in it." Look Eclipse, this is perfect. There are plenty of dens that are still in good shape, and I bet that there must be good herbs here also, because it looks like someone was living here."

Eclipse's strides were gracefully, her soft pelt being pulled at by the winds that seemed to never end. the beautiful grey she-cat walked delicately, as if on she would be blown off the face of the earth if she wasn't careful. Eclipse stared at the ground, not wanting to look up. She was too afraid that if she did, Badgersoul would be standing right there. Staring at her with cold amber-green orbs, filled with disappointment.

Eclipse thought long and hard at her and Wake traveled. She thought about what she had done, about what her family would think of her, what Badgersoul would think of her. Eclipse wasn't only betraying Windclan, but Thunderclan to. Taking Wake away from them and allowing herself to run away. Now she would be leaving the life she loved for ever; never to returned. Eclipse just stared absently as she waled; barely awake when Wake started to speak.

"Humm- OH! This place is G-Great S-Sleeppa- I mean- Wake" The apprentice said softly; her eyes now masked over with an describable emotion.

Wake was also thinking as they walked, seeing as Eclipse was already gazing off and staying quiet. Wake had been mainly thinking of how amazing his life has been so far. His life has already been more thrilling than that of a full warrior cat's life, and the excitement hadn't even completely begun.

Wake kept looking back at Eclipse, making sure she was OK, and then over to the rising moon, and back again. Wake couldn't keep his eyes off of Eclipse. He loved her so much that it almost hurt him when he wasnt looking at her. This must be what true love feels like. Wake slowed down enough so his pelt was brushing up with Eclipse's.

Wake decided that it was late enough now that they should just find the closest place possible now. He would get the food, and Eclipse could grab some herbs if she thinks it is the right thing to do. "We've had a huge day today, Eclipse. It is time to get some rest. This abandoned camp is good for tonight. I'll go get some food for us, and you can either join me or stay here and find a good, comfortable spot. Your choice," Wake said warmly.

Eclipse purred at the sound of Wake's voice. Just hearing him answer, hearing him - and knowing that he was there. Made the young, trouble she-cat feel much better. Eclipse pushed herself against the Tom, eyes closing and breath slowing. Eclipse battled with memories, with doughs as she pulled closer. Pushing the past away, trying to focus on the now. " I want to go hunting w-with you " she purred. Her voice sounding certain for the very first time on the journey. The she-cat looked up into the tom's frosted eyes, staring into them. Hoping that some how their depths would pull out all the troubles that battled in her very soul. Then, to Eclipse at least, time seemed to stand still. Nothing mattered anymore. Badgersoul, Starclan, Windclan, Demonheart, Scorchingkit, Burningwind; none of them. All that mattered now was being with him. " I could look for herbs, there may not be any herbs I know h-here... and if that is the case I will need to l-learn.... "

Wake just purred in agreement.Alright, this is good, now, where are the prey.After a quick sniff, Wake recognized mouse and vole.Mmm, just what I was in the mood for. He gave Eclipse an excited nod then raced off into the nearby brush. Silently, Wake crawled towards the helpless vole in his hunter's crouch, and then made his attack, quickly pouncing, and then killing the vole. After picking up his catch, Wake ran it over to Eclipse and said,"Here's one. Now it's your turn. Have you seen or smelled any herbs around here?"

Eclipse watched as Wake stalked his prey. Her blue eyes stared at his drey and white pelt, his so muc hlike her own. The only difference from the two's pelts were that Wake's was solid grey and white while Eclipse's was white dappled grey. Eclipse purred at the catch, " G-Good Catch!" she called out, like she had herd os many other warriors say before. The scent of prey made Eclipse relize just how hungry she was. The bad this was, she never learned how to hunt. Being stuck in the medicine cat den all day made her a horrible fighter AND a horrible hunter. Eclipse sniffed the air, hoping to scent herbs instead of prey.

Lucklily, the strong sent of Sage made her ears perk. " Sage, Soothes sore throats, and fights infection. Sage leaves also have a pleasant taste; as well as fighting infections and soothing the throat, they can be used to make bitter concoctions more tasteful. " she purred, as if being tested. Eclipse delicately padded over to the bush and pulled of a few stems. Though the leaves were the onlything that could be used, Eclipse found it easier to carry stems then just a while bunc hof leaves.
