Training Rowanpaw

Brownstar sat outsire of the Thunderclan Camp. She was waiting for her apprentice. Today was the first say she would teach Rowanpaw.

Rowanpaw ran to his leader. "Hello, Brownstar." he said. he was still shocked that shechose him to be her apprentice. "What will we be doing to day? he asked.

Brownstar smiled. "We will learn how to hunt." she said. She was trying to be nice to the kit. She was starting to understand how it was to lose someone. She sighed. She mist Greymist. She stoppd at a clearing. "Now," she said. "I want you to show me a pouncing position."

Rowanpaw smiled. He obeyed his mentor and got in the pouncing position. "Is this right?" he asked,

Brownstar looked at him. 'You are almost there," she said. "Just, bend down a little." She showed him how to do it. She bended down, almost to the ground with her front paws in front.

Rowan put his paws infront of him and lowered his body. He smiled upat her. "better?"

Brownstar nodded. "Now, how to pounce." She got in the position and pounced on a ear by leaf. "Now, you try."

Rowanpaw got down and pounced and a branch. He had done it. "I did it," he said. "I did it."

Brownstar smiled. "Very good," she said. He reminded her of Icestorm and how she had been as an apprentice. She was always so eager. "Rowan, you tell me what us the difference between and mouse and rabit?"

A mouse wil smell you first but a rabbit will hear you first." he said.

Brownstar smiled. "Wel, a mouse will feel you beofe it sees you and a rabbit with smell you veofre it sees you. You wre on the right track."

Rowan lauhhed gently. "Right," he said. 'That is what I meant."

Brownstar nodded and looked forward. "Over there is a mouse," she said. "I want you to slowly creep up on the mouse." She moved her tail for him to go.
