Northkit was growing curiouse, she hadn't ever seen Bloodclaw's kits. She hadn't even known Bloodclaw had kits, but she was sure he was a tom, so she also wondered who their mum was, but knew it was rude to ask so she stayed quiet, and kept her thoughts to herself.

As if reading her thaughts, Elkpaw said the little he knew. "Their wanderers like their mother. Never stay home. I hear Waterkit's been crossing borders, and each of them come up missing all the time. Waterkit was gone for a whole moon once"

Lilyfeather dragged a mountain of leaves into her den, barely noticing the people hovering around the entrance. "Whew. I was almost out there. Good thing I went out for mo-OH MY!" Lilyfeather mewed, finally recognizing the injured. ((Will post more later!))

hearing her name, Northkit looked up (she hadn't really been paying much attention.) "I'm O.K, I hardly did anything, Splashheart's the one who was ambushed, check her first." said Northkit defiantly.

Lightkit bowed her head. " I just woke up. Splashheart's right, check Northkit first."

Lilyfeather felt her head begin to spin as everyne started jumping in "North...Splashheart, then....who?" She shook her head as she did at times like these to rid herself of eccess thoughts. Examining them all as they argued over who should go first, she noticed Northkit was bloody, and only a kit! 'My, my! How on earth did this happen? She ran up to Northkits and looked over a spot where the fur was litterally falling off. "I wish I had an assistant at times like these! Northkit, you come here...." motioning to the left side where the pile of herbs still waiting to be sorted sat, Lilyfeather grabbed a bit of Juniper with her free paw and started to crush it in her mouth. 'A kit!'

Ligghtkit stepped up, meowing, " Do you need any help, Lilyfeather?" She had some knowledge of herbs, but not a lot, yet she believed she could help.
Snowpelt sat back to wait. " I'll go after Splashheart." He mumbled, relaxing. He smiled to himself; his daughter was turning out to be a fine young kit, and he was proud of her.

Lilyfeather nodded at the kit as she spread a poultice over Northkit's wounds. "Please, use some of this poultice and spread it over everyone where you see blood. After that, put on some horetail and cobwebs."

" Ok!" The orange tabby says excitedly, stepping over to Splashheart after grabbing some of the poultice in her teeth. She spread it softly, but evenly, over the warrior's wounds. Moving over to Snowpelt, she meowed, " S'ok with me, Dragonheart. Snowy?"
The snow-white tom. nodded. " It's fine in my opinion." He winced slightly as his unknowing kin put the poultice on his leg wound. As it disappeared from her paw, Lightkit padded over to the other herbs, taking some horetail to rub on Snowpelt and winding some a bundle of cobwebs on her right paw. She carefully put both the horetail and and some of the cobwebs on her friend's leg, humming a song her mother had taught her as she worked. She bounded lightly over to do the same to Splashheart, grabbing some more horetail on the way.

How many times do I have to tell them?!? Thought Northkit Just because I'm still a kit doesn't mean I can't take care of myself! The strange way that all the cats seemed to automatically assume that all kits where completely helpless was beyond her power to comprehend, and it was a sharp reminder to how different this place was compared to the Lands of Foreversnow, that where wrought with a never-ending war. But for once, the silver tabby kept her mouth shut, even though she was silently screaming that there had been no reason for her to retreat, as her tail flicked in annoyance.

" Simmer down." Lightpaw hissed at her fellow apprentice. " They always treat you like that." She started toward the entrance to the medicine cat's den, looking over her shoulder. " I'll be at the river if anycat needs me."
Snowpelt nodded. " Ok. I'll see you later!" He got up, also, and trotted out after the orange tabby, headed for the warrior's den. " Thank you, Lilyfeather!" He called as he disappeared.
