[glow=red,2,300]Dragonheart rushed into the den, hoping that Autumnleaf was right behind him. "Stormstar!" He called into the den.[/glow]

[glow=blue,4,000]Raising his head, Stormstar narrowed his eyes and beckoned Dragonheart in with his tail. "Yes, Dragonheart," He meowed slowly, gathering his limbs into a sitting position. "What is it?"[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Autumnleaf trotted in behind him, still trying to keep up the pretense of being fine. Then she saw her leader and balked. She had never been alone with him before. Well, almost alone. Trying to gather her confidence around her, Autumnleaf padded up to Stormstar and Dragonheart slowly. She found herself thinking of her sister, Springblossom. Right after this, I'm going to go make up with her! the young ginger warrior resolved about their fight earlier. Sitting gracefully in front of Stormstar, now more at peace with herself, the she-cat meowed, "Hello, Stormstar. We seem to have a problem." Autumnleaf did not continue however, because she knew it was Dragonheart's duty to tell his leader. Another reason she didn't want to admit was she was afraid she would start choking up in front of Stormstar, and then what would he think of her? She'd probably never get an apprentice, for fear that it would be just as cowardly. I can't believe it, though. Just being the first to see him lying, soaked in the water with the life sucked out of him... Autumnleaf shuddered. It's enough to make me never want to swim again. She then tried to push the horrible thoughts away.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Dragonheart looked at his leader. "Bloodclaw drowned himself." He said quietly.[/glow]

[glow=blue,4,000]As he gazed at the Deputy and the young Warrior, Stormstar noticed that Autumnleaf seemed uncertain - as if she had suffered a shock of some sort. Dragonheart himself seemed reasonably okay. At his quiet words, Stormstar instantly sat up and studied the ginger tom with piercing blue eyes. "Autumnleaf, I suppose you found him, didn't you? Do you have any idea why he comitted suicide." He meowed.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Autumnleaf didn't cringe under his scrutiny, instead, she tried to sit up taller and replied, "Y-yes Stormstar, I did. It was horrible..." she choked up again, and cursed herself. Clearing her throat, the ginger she-cat continued rather fiercely, "I wouldn't have committed suicide, but I think I know why Bloodclaw did it. I think that he was too confused and torn by his love for both Angelfur of RiverClan and Blackthorn the Guardian. I don't think he could handle all of the fighting the two were doing over him, especially when he started loving Angelfur more after he had kits with Blackthorn the rogue. When I left the horrific scene, Blackthorn and Angelfur were finally becoming friends." Then Autumnleaf added thoughtfully, "And all it took was Bloodclaw's life."[/glow]

Dragonheart looked at Autumnleaf, "Do you think that it was worth Bloodclaws life?" He asked thoughtfully.[/glow]

Stormstar nodded tthoughtfully at these comments. It had not been the first time a RiverClan cat had commited suicide due to feeling torn. Tigerheart had been a fine Warrior, and had loved Angelfur deeply, but the young Apprentice Vixenpaw had fallen for him, and when Tigerheart ahd chosen the Apprentice when she was made a Warrior, it ahd broken Angelfur. The newly-named Vixenchaser was shocked, she had had a particularly powerful crush and it ahd resulted in breaking up a family. Well, Tigerheart had felt torn and stepped out infront of a Monster on the Thunderpath. And now this with Bloodclaw.

And of course, Stormstar had felt torn many times before. But that was in the past and he had no wish to bring it up. "Autumnleaf, go and see Lilyfeather. Tell ehr to give you something for the shock. Dragonheart, remain here, I ahve to talked to you." Stormstar meowed kindly, smiling at Autumnleaf.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Autumnleaf thought for a few moments before replying Dragonheart. "Alas, Dragonheart, I do not know the answer to that question. Some might say now that he is dead, it is better for us to have two cats that get along, reunited over broken hearts, than having three cats with constantly broken hearts, and bodies, the way Angelfur and Blackthorn were going. I must say, though, I do not believe anything is worth a cat dying for, unless it's the warrior code or your Clan." the young warrior meowed ponderously.

Autumnleaf then turned to her leader. "Stormstar, are you sure? I think I have recovered sufficiently, and I would like to be with my friends. That is, if you do not insist I go. I'm sure Lilyfeather has much more important things to attend to. she replied evenly, trying to prove she was fine.[/glow]

[Redtail]

Rainpaw padded inot the den and sat down next to Autunmleaf and pressed herself comfortingly againest her friend. She knew that she must be very upset by everything and wanted help her as much as possible. She looked over at the leader and deputy and dipped her head respectfully.
