[Swiftfoot[Is Leaving]]

Finally after waiting to express her news,Swiftfoot sat straight,staring into the crystal waters of the river.Her paws tingled with hidden excitment as she waited for her mate,her love,her Silvershadow.Ice blue eyes scanned the water for any fish,and spotting one,she gently but swiftly slipped her paws into the cold water.Feeling the scales against her claws,she pulled up setting down a big fish.

Within a few moments,she had caught another one..enough for her and Silvershadow.As she set them down next to one another,she smiled to herself,knowing the news she was about to exclaim was good.Her eyes darted back to the span of large trees that lead to her camp.Every movement that shattered the forests' silent being made Swiftfoot's heart thud hard against her neatly groomed chest... as she hoped it was him...

Indeed it was. The silver tabby came trotting out of the trees, not really taking time to silence himself. He paused and smiled at his mate, the prettiest she-cat in Riverclan, Swiftfoot. Well, in his oppion, but he guessed everyone was like that with their mates. Still he didn't care. He glanced at the scaley fish and smiled wider. " Yum, fish." though he was from Shadowclan and had no hunting or fishing skills, he liked the taste of fish almost as much as shadowclan's plentiful birds.
Licking the siamese's(sp?) ear he settled happily beside her, silently soaking up her wonderful scent. His green eyes shone with excitement. She had told him to meet her here, he hoped it was for better instead of worse, but he'd take his chances. He also had a bit of news, a tidbit of information that needed some advice. His mind drifted toward the Shadowclan medicine cat, her secret, their promise and the task before him. He wondered vaguely how they were and got a small ping of dispare, but he guessed it was just missing them. Shaking his silver head to clear it, he smiled warmly at his only love. He waited expectantly for her to speak, ready to hang on every word.

She paused for a moment,gazing into those green eyes she had came to love,adore,and cherish.She nuzzled him lovingly,taking in his amazing scent as well."I've got...big news.."She said,concealing her smile for a moment as she paused.She finally broke,and a smile disturbed the solemness(SP?)in her face."I'm..."She stopped short as her breathe was shallow from excitment."I'm..Pregnant!"As she waited for his response,she couldn't help but look down at her only slightly buldging stomach.

The new shocked Silvershadow, but in a good way. He smiled larger, as if it were possible, and nuzzled his mate lovingly. " That's great! Wonderful!" he didn't know how else to put it it simply was a great thing. He nuzzled her again and looked at her slightly bigger tummy. "How long have you known?" he wanted to know when the kits were due really, but couldn't becouse it was really unperdicable(sp?). He wondered how many there would be, what they would look like. Thier last litter had four kits a little later than expected. But still they can. Silvershadow's heart sang with joy and his tail subconciously(sp?) flicked his tail excitedly.

Her heart swelled with pride after learning he was happy."I've known for a few days."She replied,smiling.

"I guess we'll have to visit Mom and Windchaser again huh?" he inquired. He still wasn't ready to tell anyone about his bloodline. It was sorta a..... weak for lack of words, for him.

"Of course!"She exclaimed."I haven't seen them in moons!"She nuzzled him with affection and smile brightly.

WSilveshadow bobbed his head for a moment before nuzzling her shoulder lovingly. He vaugely thought, I'm a very luck cat to be here. His silver tail with, for once, still behind him except for a small twitch as he soaked in the wonder she-cat's beautiful scent.

Gratefully accepting the nuzzle,her face turned serious."You think they still like me don't you?"Her voice sounded worried and her eyes looked the same.

Silvershadow cocked his head at her coonfusedly. " What? Why wouldn't they?" Willowtail was fine with her when he visited her with Blackthorn, but they others must be the same right?

"Oh,I don't know.."She said."It was stupid..i'm just worried that's all."She paused and smiled at him,revealing her intense love for him."You never know...they might still be mad about me stealing you from them."She said,licking his ear.

Silvershadow chuckled softly, "Well, I wouldn't blame you!" he joked lovingly. " I would feel the same if anybody stole you away." He purred a moment and shuffled his paw, suddenly remembering his task. "Um... I have to tell you something you can tell on one else." he sighed. "No one it is a matter of life or death.. well sorta."

Her face grew serious when he said that."I won't tell a soul,I promise."She was sincere and she did promise...she wouldn't even think of telling anyone else something secret.

Silvershadow nodded approving her promise. "You know Willowtail, the Shadowclan medicine cat correct?" he didn't wait for an answer just continued after a very breif pause, "She has had kits. Two or three if I remember right. And she will be having more. Soon, really soon. She told me and wanted to give me one of them for a Riverclan queen to take care of. I'll take him or her to Willowtail when I think they are ready to know the truth. I was thinking hard and couldn't chose, but now it is easier." He paused again to regain breath and to add drama, "I would like you to take care of the kit when it comes." his silver pelt ruffled with a sudden breeze, but he took no notice. His green eyes were locked on her's intensly telling her to say yes.

Swiftfoot paused for a moment,wondering if she had heard him right.She knew that that was against the warrior code...but she also knew how much she had loved her own kits.She felt touched by him choosing her and warmth spread from her paws to the tips of her ears."Really?"She asked,smiling brightly."I-I would be honoured!"She exclaimed,nuzzling him."...as long as Willowtail's ok with it.."

Silvershadow nuzzled Swiftfoot back. "Yes, she'll be fine with it." He licked her ear purred. "Thank you." His fur was warm with joy it seemed. "I would go tell her but... I have this feeling something bad is going on.." he frowned as he thought about theweird feeling that was knawing on his stumach.

Surprised,she looked at him through concerned eyes."Something bad going on?"She asked."..like what?"

Shrugging Silvershadow mused for a moment. "Um.... I'm not sure. Just a feeling, like before a battle. You know what's going to happen, yet you don't." He frowned at the vagueness of the whole thing. I guess it's just aftermath of the gathering, with all the fighting. And Starclan didn't stop it." The last part made him shiver mentally and stiffen his tail.

She nodded."You know,something might be going on.."She said,putting on that ever popular worried face."Maybe you're right...but for the sake of everyone...let's hope you're not."

Silvershadow nodded in agreement with his mate. He really hoped he wasn't right, but it just felt... different today. This week had been wild though..
