Nightfur stiffened. She could feel the deputy's unease and Wildpaw's confidence, and she knew that it wasn't good. Streampaw needed to simmer down, or she was going to feel sharp claws in her neck. " Try to control your apprentices, Dragonheart." She mewed across the bubbling waters. " And I'll try to control myself." She shifted her gaze to Wildpaw and murmured, " Don't do anything stupid! We aren't here for a fight, got it?"

A small, nearly nonexistent grin spread on Northpaw's face. Her ears, after all this time, still wern't used to the sound of flowing water. She had heard, and only barely, as the black she-cat said something to the ThunderClan apprentice. They're worried too, can't they see that? She glanced Dragonheart. Of course he can, even if he still doesn't trust their intentions he can tell, Dragonheart has every right not to trust them, we all do! Thought Northpaw.

Wildpaw nodded at Nightfur, then glared at Streampaw. She wanted to fight that insulting apprentice so bad her claws were flexing in and out. "But," she thought, "nothing stupid. We're not here to fight."

" Does it look like that was our fault?" Nightfur yowled at the Streampaw, standing and taking a step closer to the border. " Just because she attacked your leader doesn't mean it's our fault it happened! You can't blame everything on ThunderClan!" The black she-cat swished her tail and stalked away, calling over her shoulder, " Wildpaw, we're going back to camp before a fight ensues. Come on!" She didn't want a fight to break out; 3-2 wasn't bad, but either group could easily be out numbered by a passing patrol if they came to aid their Clan mates. Clan rivalries wasn't somehting they needed right now, especially with the rogues about.

Northpaw's fur was begining to lie flat again. Glad that's over, she thought. "Yah, WindClan border, that sounds good." she siad absent mindedly.

OOC: my poor homework frazzled mind can't keep up with all the thread switching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Northpaw ran after Dragonheart as fast as she could. Looking back over her shoulder she called to Streampaw. "Hurry, or he'll beet us again!" Then she triped, coughed, and ran back after Dragonheart, slightly embarresed.(sp?)
