[glow=red,2,300]When he got there, he called out quietly, "Purekit, where are you, what's wrong?" There was worry in his voice, he didn't like anyone to cry let alone his own kit![/glow]

Purekit walked out of the shadows, where she was sitting. Her dad could not see her blood shot orbs, but the black maine coon could not hide them, no matter her hard she tried. So, she sniffled, and took in a deep breath. She tried to think of a excuse, but it was impossible to say, 'Dad, you won't have enough time for me and Doodle when your leader, will you?' In a nice way. Purekit cleared her throat. She had to say something, and fast. Her ears layed down flat, her head was avoiding Dragonheart's whole body, paws and all. She coughed silently. As she tried to speak, a tight knot formed in her throat like it did when someone was crying, but Purekit managed to get some of the words out, in a soft, horsey voice barelly over a whisper. "Dad..." She blinked, her bloodshot eyes let out another, tear. "Dad... don'tt you miss being a regular... warrior?" She finished, and swallowed hard. The question she had just asked would start out and put one of the pieces of the puzzle she wanted to know on the board.

Purekkit starred sad- eyed at Dragonheart. It wasn't exactly the answer she was looking for. Sighing softly, she looked at the opening of the den, acting as if she interested in it. She spoke in a stiff voice, "Well..." She couldn't find the words. They were all stuck in her mouth, tied up in the knot that had formed, that kept her talking in a shakey and rattling voice, "You barely had time for us as a deputy!- and now look at you! Your leader, and you'll never have time for us!" She didn't mean to be harsh, but as she spoke, many more tears fell from her eyes. In 'us' when she said it, she meant it to sound like us, but she really meant, 'me'. She flicked her brownish tail, and looked at Dragonheart with her big amber eyes.
