Rosepaw sat down on the edge of the Thunderpath and looked at the falling sun. Her mother and father had rescently died and she was upset. She had never sat and vigil before but decided to do so for her parents. Her father was not spposively dead but he had left her. Left her all alone. She looked down at the ground. A tear came from her eyes. Roseaw missed her parents deeply. No one seemed to understand, except maybe Brownpaw and Phoenixpaw. She now realized what their life was like. They both had lost parents. She shivered. "I love and miss you, daddy and moomy." she said. "Please, don't forget me." She lay her head down and started to cry. She had to accept that her parents had left her and that they were gone.

Wingclaw padded up next to Rosepaw. She sat down and looked at the young apprentice.

((I get it often, don't worry.))
Rosepaw looked at her kind mentor. "Winglaw," she said slowly and quietly, "have they found my father yet?" she asked. She sighed. She knew that they wouldn't find her father. "I will never see him again," she saistarting to cry. Rosepaw put her head on her pws to wipe off the incomimg tears.

Wingclaw wrapped her tail around the greiving apprentice. " Don't worry, I'm sure that they'll find him soon." she meowed trying to comfort the kit, though Wingclaw didn't know what happened to Hollowheart, he could be dead for all the Clan cats knew.

"But how do you know?!" she asked starting to yell. Her tears began to fall harder. She then sighed and brought her vioce down. "I can accept that he wanted to leave," she said. "I just can't accept that he didn't get to see my warrior ceremony. He...," she was now sobbing, "he didn't even say good-bye! And now he is gone with my mother. I will have no one to support me in my cermony. I will have no family..."

Wingclaw gave Rosepaw's ear a quick lick. "I am sure that he did not leave because he wanted to Rosepaw. I'm sure that if he could he'd be back in the clan right now." she meowed. "And if he does not come to your ceremony than I will support you."

Rosepaw smiled at her mentor. Of course her mentor would support her. "Thank you, Wingclaw," she said. "You have given me hope when I only found distress and loss." She gave her mentor a thankful smile then looked back out over at some hills. "I wonder if my father is thinking of me know." she said sighing. "I wonder."

"I'm sure that he is Rosepaw." she meowed. Wingclaw turned her gaze to the western moorlands. It was getting very late by that time, she watched as the sun started to sink behind the hills, turning the sky pink. In a few moments it would completly dissapear, leaving a few rays of light as the only evidence that the sun had even been there.

Rosepaw nodded. She was too weak to respond to the comment. She just nodded and sighed.
