The small figure of an apprentice dashed down the gully. He was obviously a part of the Speed Training program. The Blue-Point Birman shot quick looks behind him with dark blue orbs to make sure the red Maine Coon tom he was escorting was still keeping up. His creamy, off-white pelt was windswept, an underneath, you could see his wiry, lithe form. His blue-gray ears were alert, and a nose of the same colour, plus his snow white whiskers, were twitching. He was obviously nervous. Coming into the center of the clearing, he motioned the other cat with a ThunderClan scent forward with his long blueish grayish tail.

A silver she-cat moved stealthfully behind the two cats."Do not turn. Who are you."growled she cat, claws nervously sheathing and unsheathing.

The Speed Trainee turned slowly, tail twiching slightly. "Hello, Silverstar. This is Foxtail, a former ThunderClan warrior. I found him at our ThunderClan border. I decided that once I found he wasn't an immediate threat, I should bring him to you." he replied, thinking that the leader only meant Foxtail. Then it occured to him that Silverstar might be very hassled by the threat of BloodClan and the rogues, and added hastily, "I'm Winterpaw by the way, I was just hunting over by the border when I found him." Chucking his chin lightly towards the red Maine Coon tom, Winterpaw continued, "He would like to join WindClan."

Foxtail didn't flinch, as he found from Winterpaw's speaking, it was the WindClan leader. Standing still in his position, the red maine coon spoke still having his head turned into the face of Winterpaw, "I am Foxtail, as Winterpaw has said. I am here to join WindClan." Letting his giangantic tail fall from the air to the hard ground, he thought, How many times must I repeat, I'm Foxtail here to join WindClan. The big cat wouldn't let himself be made a fool of. But the WindClan seemed to want him to feel being made a fool of, for she hadn't even lket him turn around to see as he spoke.

Silverstar blinked her eyes."You lesson very good, ThunderClaner. And you have good faith in my clan if you didn't even defend yourself. Why then, ThunderClaner, have you come. What I have heard from Brownstar was that there clan requiered no help, why do you come now?" growled Silverstar. However, Silverstar had her claws sheathed at this point.

As Winterpaw glanced casually between them with intense dark blue orbs, he found himself hoping that this ThunderClan tom might find the right choice of words, and might be able to join WindClan. He would make a good WindClan Trainer, maybe even for Speed. The little Birman tom thought to himself. Wintah relaxed when he saw that Silverstar was loosening, and settled in to watch the process of the exchange.

[Frostpaw]

Frostpaw trotted slowly into camp, two mice hanging limply from her jaws. Out of the corner of her eye she saw her brother takling with Silverstar and...him! Dropping the mice where she stood, she hissed. She ran over, stopping beside her brother, her fur fluffed up. "You!" She hissed again. "You're that cat from the border! What are you doing here?"

Ignoring the apprentice who came out of no where, carrying pre scent in her fur, the red maine coon replied, as hard as could, trying not to sound offensive, "Why not now? I mean, ThunderClan has been abused by the sickening rogues, beaten by BloodClan, and despaired by the rest or NightClan. ShadowClan has come to join ThunderClan under these harsh periods, and you say why now? Brownstar has grown towards her last peice of temper. She is tired, and refuses to keep the beleive of StarClan in her blood. The warrior code means nothing but rubish to her right now." Foxtail spoke meaningful, but not harsh. He didn't try not back talk to the eldest leader, Silverstar, and it didn't sound like it.

The creamy coloured apprentice quickly turned to face Frostpaw. "Frosty!" Wintah exclaimed, forgetting himself. He quickly realised he had interrupted and blushed. Motioning with his bluey gray tail, Winterpaw padded over to the side for a moment to talk to his sister. He hoped she wouldn't make a big scene, since it would not help her seemingly stuck up and mean image. But her brother knew, on the inside, she had a heart of gold, and would do anything for her friends.

[Frostpaw]

Still angry, Frostpaw joined her brother. Her eyes were like mini balls of fire, and she kept on shooting glances at Foxtail, but not nervous glances. More like evil. "So, Wintah?" She hissed, turngin her gaze to the Birman. "What in the name of StarClan possessed you to bring a ThunderClan cat to WindClan?" Her tail lashed from side to side, and her fluffy coat was even more fluffed out in rage. How someone could even think of bringing an enemy cat into their territory enraged her even more.

Winterpaw was taken aback for a moment by her anger. Then he hissed back, "Fine, if you'd rather have him stay there stealing our prey, take him back!" His dark blue orbs blazed with annoyance, and he took a deep breath, swelling in size, his stance challenging. "Foxtail didn't attack," he continued diplomatically, "And he said he was coming in peace to join WindClan." Winterpaw stared his sister in the eyes. "And, what, my dear Frostpaw, could you possibly find wrong with that?" he asked softly, in a dangerous voice.

Silverstar smiled slightly."A good warrior amittes to when a situation is more then they can handle." She nodded. "Will you return to your clan when the war between BloodClan, NightClan and the Rogues is over?"

[Frostpaw]

Trying to calm down, the creamy apprentice took a deep breath and stared at her kin with cold eyes. "He may not have attacked, but no cat in their right mind would bring another cat into the Clan during war, when their home Clan needs them." Her voice was dangerously low, but her anger was gone, replaced by hard determination. "No self-respecting cat would leave their Clan to save their own hide. Your Clan is your family, and you don't desert family." Icily she looked at Foxtail, her voice rising so he could hear every word.

Winterpaw glared at her. "I am a cat in my right mind, and I brought Foxtail here. If he wishes to join WindClan, and Silverstar accepts him, then we have another warrior for the battle that is sure to come." he replied coldly. "I cannot argue with the fact that he should have stayed loyal to his Clan, but what do you care, Frostpaw? Are you not loyal to us? It is the problem of ThunderClan he left, not WindClan." He could not help but feel slight pleasure at his sister's levelheadedness. 'Good,' he thought, 'She's learning that fighting rarely gets you anywhere with your own Clan.' Then he thought of something. "Also, would you not leave your Clan in the hopes of saving them and defeating BloodClan instead of being their prisoners? I know you would, Frostpaw, as would I, to avenge the death of our mother, Snowheart, at their vile claws. Maybe Foxtail has a reason likewise to ours." Winterpaw added thoughtfully. He was no longer angry with his sister, as he realized she was just loyal, and didn't understand. 'I wish to know why Foxtail has come!' he thought impatiently, but it barely showed on his calm, smooth face. All he did was slightly crinkle his little blue-gray nose, and twitch his erect tail of the same colour, before he was again staring at his kin with impassive dark blue eyes.

Foxtail, still ignoring the apprentice who had given him trouble from the start, he answered the leader, "No. I do not wish to return, but you are the leader, and you could send me back anytime, am I not correct?" He crooked smile to Silverstar as he waited for her to answer his question. Still turned away, he gave a annoyed flick, as if asking her to give him permision to turn while they spoke. Will she please let me turn around. It's starting to bug me turned away like this!! He thought.

Frostpaw couldn't hide her smile. Her brother had always been able to pull her back to earth. "If he doesn't, can I cut his throat?" She joked, butting Winterpaw in the shoulder. "And why ask me of my loyalty? You know where I stand, as do I, and that is as a loyal WindClan apprentice." She dismissed the mention of their mother with a brush of her paw. The issue was still difficult for her to address; she and Snowheart had been very close, and a slight implying of the rogues who had killed her set her fur on fire. They'll pay, she thought. They will. Every stinkin' last one.

Winterpaw grinned widely; he didn't enjoy fighting with his sister, but sometimes he and Frostpaw tended to go head to head. "Of course, Frosty! Do whatever you like to traitors." he replied cheerily, licking her ear. He pretended not to notice the fact that she never talked about their mother, as usual, and didn't press the subject. "Now, how about we turn our attention back to the initiation of a ThunderClanner gone WindClanner, sis?" Wintah suggested, in a good mood now.

[Nightfur and Co.]

Frostpaw licked her brother's shoulder in apology. Even if she didn't like Foxtail, it wasn't her desicion to who comes and goes in the Clan. Maybe one day, she would...but she was getting ahead of herself. "I may not like it, but sure, bro." She meowed, a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. She trotted up to the left side of Foxtail and sat, her eyes trained on Silverstar.

Winterpaw shrugged and padded up to Foxtail's right side, glancing sideways at the tom and his sister on his left. 'We look protective.' He realised eerily. His bluey gray nose shivered and he stared straight ahead, seeing nothing. After awhile, the apprentice looked around again.'When will this be over?' He thought to himself, slightly annoyed and bored.
