Dusty padded tentetively into the camp. he sniffed and smelled many, many cats. This was were he wanted to be. he knew how these clans were set up, like a ginat family, every single cat working for the clan. He had heard of the "leader" and knew thatif he wanted to join he would have to find him.

dawnflower walked out of the shadows. " Hi you new?? I am kind of new." She greeted him with a shy smile. ( cats do smile right??) She sat down, " I'm dawnflower and you are??" she asked.

(We can pretend they smile. lol) Dusty sighed, visibly releived. He had been ther for quite some time without talking to anyone. "Hello. It's nice to meet you! My name's Dusty. Is there anyone I could join you clan? Or is there some other cat that could help me?" At this point Dusty had no idea who the leader was, so he assumed that this was the leader.

Frostpaw, coming into camp after a short patrol, saw Dusty almost immeidately. But after her experience with Foxtail, she decided being calm was better then being rash. Tentively she walked up to him and Dawnflower. "Hello." The cream she-cat meowed. "Who're you?" SHe asked Dusty. "I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you looking for Silverstar?"

Dusty smiled broadly and nodded. "Yes. Hello, I'm Dusty and I was wondering if you could take me to your leader."
((That sounds like the thing that the alien is supposed to say. "Take me to your leader!"))

Frostpaw shook her head. "She's not in camp right now. But feel free to stay until she comes," she added. She started to lick her chest fur; it was easier being nice then jumping to conclusions.

Dusty marvled at these forest cats' hospitality. From what his friends had told him they were ruthless killers, but all veidence here was to the contrary. Except, or course, that they ate frsh meat instead of pellets. Dusty had never tried fresh meat but the closest he ever got was fish-flovored snacks. His stomache rumbled but he tried his gardest to silence it.

Frostpaw rollled her eyes. "I told you she isn't in camp!" She growled at Dawnflower. It was getting harder and harder to hold her anger down. "How many times do I have to repeat something?"

wait Dusty shifted, waiting. He wondered if it was natural to feel anger towards a mistake such as that. he shrugged though and kept his comments to himself. her wrapped his tail around himself and wondered if Starry, his sister, was ok.

Slowy Frostpaw's eyes softened; she looked at Dusty. "What's wrong?" She knew a worried look when she saw one; the kittypet was thinking of something.

Dusty tried his best for a grin, but it came out more like a grimace. he looked down at his paws and murmered, "i left the only member of my family that I knew to come and join you. I know I will miss her terribly, but there is no way I can live the life style that she wishes to keep." He shook his head regretfully, but knew that he wouldn't have been happy in a twoleg nest.

Surprising herself, Frostpaw licked the kittypet's ear. "It's ok," She murmured softly. "I'm sure Silverstar will accept you. And I'll be sure to help you out, no worries." After a pause, she meowed, "I lost family, too. My mother, Snowheart, was...killed by rogues. My brother Winterpaw and I came here...and Silverstar helped us fit in." She gulped back the tears that had sprung to her eyes.

Dusty smiled thankfully. He knew that these forest cats had a soft side. "Im sorry..." he said. He knew that words would not completely ease pain, so he decided to change the subject. "Do you happen to know a cat named Nightfur? I don't think she's in this Clan but...do you know her?"
