Hailpaw was out practicing hunting when a huge cat attacked her. She couldn't tell what clan it was in, but it wasn't windclan. She tried despirately (sp?) to fight, but it was no good. She ran as fast as she could back to the camp.
A few minutes later, she came limping into the camp. Her fase was scratched up, and her left front paw was bleeding. She went straight to the medicine cat's den, but Winterwind wasn't there. So she lay down to wait for her, hoping she came back soon.

Winterwind wasn't far from camp, and had just been gathering herbs. Stepping into her den, she spotted Hailpaw immediatly. Puting down her herbs, Winterwind moved towards the many bundle's around the den. After sniffing one, Winterwind went to sit next to Hailpaw and examined her wounds.

(Sorry I haven't been on lately. )
"So how'd you get these?" Winterwind asked spreading broken rossmary blossems on the apprentice's face along with a small amount of garlic. She used lavender, garlic, and crushed marigold on Hailpaw's paw than wrapped it in cobwebs.

"I...I was out practicing some fighting techniques I saw the other apprentices practicing, because I don't have a mentor yet (i'm 8 months old!) Suddenly, somecat ran up behind me and attacked me. I couldnt fight so I just ran as fast as I could back here." Hailpaw's lip began to quiver. " I was so scared....."

(Sorry it took me so long to post back.)
"It's okay now," Winterwind said in a soft, soothing voice. She looked Hailpaw in the eye as she spoke, to be sure the young apprentice calmed down. "They can't hurt you now." She quickly finished her work, dressing each of the cat's wounds. Than she sat back and spoke. "We will have to tell Silverstar about this Hailpaw. You know that, right?" She spoke calmly and softly, wondering how Hailpaw was taking her recent attack.

"Yes, that would be a good idea" said hailpaw as she stood up. She gave a soft growl at herself. How could she be so scared and whiney...like a kit. Im not going to be a scaredy cat anymore, she thought. I'm going to get a mentor and train as hard as I can!!!

As if reading the apprentice's mind, Winterwind added. "We can also ask Silverstar to get you a mentor while we're there." She placed the rest of the herbs in a special nest for her to sort out later.
