Okay guys, I am writing a story about wolves called Weaving Darkness. This is copyrighted and I don't want anyone to steal it. Ok its not copyrighted but you'll feel the shame of STEALING someone elses work that they worked hard on and you didn't if you steal it and take credit for writing it.

Prologue
A Fatal Thief
Silent, weaving paws carried a dark furred wolf around the tree trunks. Pausing to sniff the air, the young male lifted his lip in a snarl of disgust. Even though he was near the border line of his pack’s territory, the rank scent of Summer Pack filled his scent glands, causing him to snort softly in disgust. Continuing his trek, his ears pricked up as he heard hooves clacking on a stone. Dropping into a low crouch, he stalked along, looking for the source of the noise. As he came to a small clearing, the scent of a young doe filled his nose. Silently padding on, he spotted the deer. It still had its spots, and was rather small. Even though it was young, it would be excellent prey in the time of snowfall. Crouching among the bushes, he waited for the doe to lose its caution, perhaps to graze on the long stalks of grass. When his moment arrived, he bounded forward, leaping at the young doe. When the deer spotted him, it rolled its eyes in fear and dashed into the shelter of the trees. Letting out a low growl, the young wolf landed close to the edge of the clearing. The moment his paws touched the ground, the wolf was off again, hurtling through the dense woodland towards his victim. Quickly glancing at the landscape around him, he realized he was near the amphitheatre; an area Ice Pack was famous for owning. Spotting the doe up ahead, he shifted his weight slightly to the left, trying to guide his prey to the enclosed space. When his plan worked, the deer stopped, about to collide into the wall. Looking around for an apparent escape, the doe pawed the ground nervously. Advancing forward, the young male growled in satisfaction. Leaping forward, he landed on the doe’s shoulders with a bark. Snarling fiercely, he embedded his long fangs into the back of the doe’s neck, closing his jaws to increase the pressure. As blood poured out from the puncture wound, the deer swayed, and the wolf jumped off. Growling, he launched himself at the doe’s throat, feeling his teeth sink into flesh. With one last stagger, the doe fell, taking the wolf with it. Alarm flashing in his eyes, the young male cried out in pain when he landed. His body was splayed out in an awkward position, and a long scratch covered the haunch on his left side. As he gasped for air, he became aware of the heavy weight on his side. Lifting his head, he groaned. The dead doe was on top of him, its legs twisted in an awkward way. Lifting his hind legs underneath the brown body, he propelled himself forward, and out from under the deer. Once he was in the open again, he examined his haunch, gave the scratch a few brisk licks and turned to the deer. Suddenly, a loud snarl escaped his throat. Standing over the deer, with its teeth gripped in the deer’s shoulder, stood a large mountain lion. Without waiting for an explanation, he snarled and leapt at the cougar, claws extended as far as they could go. With a challenging screech, the cougar dropped the wolf’s kill and launched itself into battle. Feeling claws rake down his side, he growled, he bit down hard on the cat’s shoulder. A small yowl came from his enemy’s vocal cords as the wolf’s teeth clicked, meeting. Snarling, he yanked out his teeth and extended a paw, raking his sharp claws through the cougar’s fur. Yowling, the cougar lashed its tail and raised a large paw, striking a blow to the wolf’s shoulder. Yelping, the wolf reacted by jumping at the cougar, and landing awkwardly on its head. Dragging his back paws over his enemy’s face, he kept his claws extended as he slid his back legs up to meet his forelegs. Snarling in anger, the cougar tossed its head, trying to throw the wolf off. Keeping his balance, the wolf barked in anger and bit down on the large cat’s ear, and then its neck. Yowling in pain, the cougar dropped to the ground, knocking the wolf off. Growling, he lunged at the cougar’s throat, his sharp white teeth bared in a snarl. Feeling his teeth sink once more into flesh, he applied pressure by closing his jaws. As fresh blood flowed into his jaws, the wolf let go, and stood back to let his enemy fall. Growling with satisfaction, the wolf let out a howl of triumph when the cougar’s sides stopped rising and falling. After a moment of heavy breathing, thought engulfed his mind. The cougar would also make an excellent source of food for his pack, but it would be hard to carry back. The option of hiding one of the bodies wasn’t available, because of the large size. Unless another wolf from the pack was around, he would be forced to take both bodies back to camp. It wouldn’t be easy, but he would be rewarded highly, and he would have the pride and satisfaction of providing his pack with enough food for days. Also, he couldn’t just leave perfectly good prey lying in the middle of the forest. With an inward sigh, he nosed the two bodies close together, trying to figure out a good way to carry them both. In the end, the wolf ended up gripping the doe by her hind leg and the cougar by it foreleg, with the two bodies lying vertically next to each other as the wolf slowly dragged them back to his pack’s camp.
Chapter 1
A Name to Remember
As the young wolf slowly walked into camp, he earned curious glances from his pack mates, due to his sluggish pace. As soon as the cougar and the doe came into view, the curiosity in his fellow pack mate’s eyes became bewilderment at his achievement. As soon had dropped his kills by the edge of camp, where all prey was placed, did a large brown and white male pad up, malice glittering in his amber eyes. Lifting the corners of his mouth in a smug sneer, the brown wolf growled out a remark. “So Smokey, where’d you find that deer, lying in the dirt for the foxes? And what of that Mountain Lion, how’d you manage to steal it from another wolf, and convince them that you killed it?” Smoke wanted to howl in rage, Ice, the wolf in front of him always called him Smokey, even though his name was Smoke. In addition, Ice hated Smoke, and took every chance to get on his nerves. Keeping his face straight, Smoke replied in a cool unchanging voice.
“So how many cougars have you killed?” he asked. Ice knew it was rare to kill a cougar, and he had never accomplished the feat himself, and was obviously jealous. Rain was Beta Male of Winter Pack, and he was outright ambitious at that. Anger flashed briefly in Ice’s eyes before he replied.
“You know good and well that I haven’t killed any, but neither have you, you stole it from another warrior who should be arriving soon to tell me that you have in fact stolen that.” As Ice said this, Smoke had to restrain himself from lashing out at the white deputy.
“I didn’t steal it, you’re just jealous.” He said indifferently. Curling his lip, Ice stalked off with his tail held high. Smoke had won this battle, but if Ice accused him of stealing and reported it to Rain –The Alpha Male-, he knew he wouldn’t be able to argue with Ice then. A moment later, all the wolves began to gather around him, murmuring words of congratulations into his ear.
