Darkfur's Children (Rowan, Torrent, Winter)

Where are they? Brownclaw ahd been waiting among Fourtrees since Sunrise and it was now Sunhigh. Surely her siblings could be able to get away from their Clans long enough to quickly meet her. The dark tabby had asked them to come, to meet her in Fourtrees, yet she had not invited Winterwind to arrive at the same time as her - Brownie needed to think over what she was going to announce.

Since she had first ehard of Darkfur's death, Brownclaw had been planning. Once the ShadowClan Medicine Cat had offered to help, but when Willowtail ahd gotten caught up in the buissness of her Clan, it was blatant that she would not get around to it for some time. Now, Brownclaw was a Warrior, and she felt it in her bones that it was time. Hollowheart had murdered her Father, out of grief and want for revenge, but the fact was, Darkfur was dead. Moments later, Hollowheart had leftthe forest, leaving his Daughter distraught and the Clans bemused that their long-time enemy was dead. Three Clans nurtured Darkfur's legacy and it was time that they got some answers.

(Bleh, bad post but I needed to get this done fast.)

[Winterwind]

Winterwind walked into the clearing softly, almsot hesitantly. Recent fights with her family had made her reluctant to come, and she worried what would happen. So her worry came out as slight hostility. "I had to leave the medicine cat's den, Brownie. This had better be good to put injured cats at risk." She glanced nervously around, waiting for the others.

(Don't worry, it's still better than most of mine.)

[rowan]

Rowan, tired from his nights adventures, walked into the soft, grassy clearing. "Brownie, Pepper?" he called out. "Is that you?" He could spell familiar scents and he liked it. "Its Rowanfur." He popped out and saw the two sisters sitting there.

[Torrentheart]

((Sorry,I was gone for a week...))

Torrentheart's pawsteps echoed through the trees.Three scents bombarded her,causing a moment of dizziness(SP?).She padded into the place that had been sacred by Starclan for many,many years.She was close enough now where she could study the features of her distant,yet familiar siblings."H-Hi.."She muttered,hesitantly.Not really knowing exactly how tense the situation would be,she sat down waiting for a response.

[brownie]

"I know, Pepper, but this is important," Brownie muttered as she waited for her other siblings. If Winterwind chose to be irritable then Brownie wasn'g going to react. The familair scent of her Brother stirred the dark tabby, and she got to her paws and rubbed her nsoe against Rowan's in silent greeting. There was only Torrentheart left to wait for. It was only a matter of moments before the silver grey shape of Storm appeared. "I expect you're all wondering why I've called you together, aren't you? The truth is, I'm still not entirely sure. Life is treating me badly, the Clans badly, and I feel I'll only blunder blindly into the future if my past is not unravelled. I need answers, we need answers, and there is only one cat who can give me them. I'm going to track down our Father's killer."

[rowan]

Rowanfur laughed for a moment. "Brownie... please tell me you are not serious. We have no idea where Hollowheart is.. and plus, I can't bare to lose a sister." His wide green eyes looked begingly at her. "Please..."

[Swiftfoot[Is Leaving]]

Torrentheart's eyes widened with surprise.'Track down Hollowheart?' she thought,not really believing what she was suggesting(SP?).After thinking it over and over again,she began to see what Brownie meant.Though after Rowan had voiced his own opinion,she couldn't help but let the feeling of doubt creep up until it invaded her thoughts."I don't know.."She said,her voice steady but her eyes troubled.

Brownclaw's serious green eyes stared into Rowan's, calm and soft with affection for her brother. The dark tabby knew the risks, knew that she may not return, but she also kne where to look for Hollowheart. Every now and then, Brownie would here the Rogue Clans mentioned, of how they were called TravellerClan, RockClan, PlantClan and SandClan, of how RockClan had recently appointed a new Leader. It was the only area that Hollowheart would have known to run away to, and there were rumours that he ahd had connections with the Clan. As long as she had some idea where she was going, Brownclaw would be able to keep herself safe.

"I have an idea where he is," She explained, turning from Winterwind, to Torrentheart and back to Rowan. "It's not certain but I there are rumours and its the only place where he could have gone and still survived. Besides, I will be safe. You know me, I'm a match for almost anything!" It was not arrogant, merely a vague referal to the many arguements the siblings had gone through. "I'm not asking for your permission to go, and you can't keep me hear, I just wanted to let you all know in case...in case I never see you again."

[rowan]

Rowanfur looked at her. "If you leave Brownie... I am coming with you. No argument about it." He smiled. "I could never leave you to go on alone... with no companion."

[Winterwind]

Winterwind sighed. "I can't go with you Brownie. I have other responsabilities here. Still, good luck. You're going to learn something very important on this journey, both of you. I just hope it's not what an adder bite feels like." Winterwins said softly, with a tinge of regret in her voice. She gave them a weak smile.

(I know it's not the best post, but I've been distracted lately.)

[Torrentheart]

Torrentheart waited for both her siblings to respond before answering."Brownie..i'll go too."She said,hardly making eye contact with her."I thought I had so much to live for in my clan..but before I settle down and live the life in a clan...I know the duty I must do for my family."She looked up and smiled.She looked over at Winterwond,respecting her answer as well as she waited for Brownclaw to respond.

[brownie]

Even before the words were out of her siblings' mouths, Brownie was shaking her head. "I'm not asking you to come with me. I already have a companion," She mewed. "I'm not stopping you, and if you want to come you can, but its not neccesary."

[rowan]

Rowanfur looked surprised. "You do? Who?" I hope it is someone I approve of...

[brownie]

Brwonclaw took a deep breath before answering, wondering how her siblings, particularly Winterwind, would react. "His name's Ghost. He was born a Kittypet but came to WindClan under the name of Forestpaw for a while then left and became a Loner as Ghost," She mewed, watching the faces of her siblings with green eyes. "He was the Bradford's new cat, I found him and showed him Mother's grave, then took him to WindClan. I trust him."

[rowan]

Rowanfur stared hard at Brownclaw. "I don't like the idea of you going with some cat that has left the Clans and decided to become a loner." He turned his ehad to Torrentheart. "You?"

[Torrentheart]

[glow=black,2,300]Torrentheart turned from Brownclaw to Rowanfur,hiding the surprise that came with his wanting her opinion."I..umm..well I have to agree with Rowan again."She said,hoping Brownie wouldn't get mad.She had come too far with her siblings,even if it weren't so good in the beginning,to throw everything away now.She just hoped that Brownie would understand their concern.[/glow]

[brownie]

Brownclaw's face fell and the bright sparks in her eyes died - she had never expeted her siblings to want to constrict her. "Pepper, you know Ghost," Brownie mewed, turning to her sister, pleading with her to set Brownie free.

[Winterwind]

"I don't believe we've met," Winterwind slowly. She watched Brownie's face closely as she continued. "But if he's Brownie's friend and she trusts him, than I will as well. I know she'd pay my friends the same curtesy." This was a gentle rebuke for how Brownie had treated Brightsun, a good friend of Winterwind's.

[brownie]

Surprisingly, Brownie managed to keep her emotions under control at Winterwind's private taunt. She was still trying to get her own back at a time like this - a time when Brownie would be separated from her family for StarClan knows how long.

[rowan]

Rowanfur looked at Pepper for a moment. "Hm... I supose you are right, Winterwind. But I wouldn've liked to have met this loner. How do I kow he won't trisk you or something. And most of all.. seriously.. what if you two fall in love. This is all agianst the Warrior Code."

[brownie]

"Stop suffocating me," Brownie hissed slightly, staring straight at her brother. "Why do you have to know every single cat I meet? You're breaking the Warrior Code too, I can tell you still love Sprinklestorm and she is a Loner. I would not allow myself to fall in love. You're trying to be protective of me, and I appreciate that, but I'm experiecing claustrophobia! You can't tell me what to do, Rowan, you're not Dad-" Breaking off, Brownie realised she ahd gone too far. The she-cat had not shouted or screamed, but kept ehr voice low, resistant yet not hostile.

[Torrentheart]

[glow=black,2,300]Torrentheart's fur bristled as she listened."Look,Brownie..we're not trying to do that..we're just worried."She turned toward Rowan,"Right?"She asked,her eyes soft.Her tail swung back and forth as she sat there,feeling the tension in the air.[/glow]
