Dragonheart leapt onto the HighRock, yowling as he did so to call the Clan together. "All cats old enough to catch their own food join here beneath the HighRock for a Clan Meeting!" The cats gathered automatically. ”Our noble leader Stormstar has died in battle and as his deputy I will take his place. We will all mourn for him, but I hope that Riverclan will grow in strength under my lead." Dragonheart looked around at his clan, the news would come as a shock to them, but he hoped that they would accept him as their leader.[/glow]

[glow=purple,2,300]Blackthorn had just walked into the Riverclan camp when she herd about Stormstar,"So, Stormstar finily falls" muttered Blackthorn as she closed her orbs in memory of Stormstar,"you were a great leader, but I guss I am to late for sorrys".Blackthorn opened her eyes and let her stare fall apone the new leader,"Dragonstar" Blackthorn said in her head as she stared at Dragonstar."You will make a great leader, only a mouse brain would not acepted you" meowed Blackthorn.[/glow]

A pearly white kit stepped out of the nursrey seeing Purekit crying, racing back into the nursrey, Icekit turned, and walked up ot her mother, Blackthorn. "mom, what's going on? what's so important?" She asked concernly. Dragonheart looked really worried, and Purekit seemed really upset![/tt]

Whisperclaw
Whisperclaw headed over to see what the commotion was about. She was happy, her other side deeply buried in joy of many things. Suddenly she caught up with all the cats and heard the whispers. Stormstar's dead...Stormstar's dead... Whisperclaw froze in her tracks. Stormstar?! No...not after all that has happened...she frantically tried to not believe it. After her second litter...no, it couldn't happen!! She ran out of the area of cats and crouched, shivering, in a corner.
Breezeclaw
Like a wind, Breezeclaw drifted over to her conciousness. "Whisperclaw, I've told you over and over that none of these cats are your friends. Now your second mate is dead, after the other one disappeared. Six of your kits have died...remember, Whisperclaw, you'll never find your friends...never." She left Whisperclaw with a distraught state of mind, weaker than ever. |

Icekit (male) stalked the edges of the gathering cats...he noticed the other Icekit was talking with her mother....then heard some of the cats mutter...'stormstar...dead..' The kit got a sick feeling in his stomach his memory still skecthy as it was, he realized that that could only mean Riverclan's leader had died. "Oh Starclan...what going to happen now?" he spoke softly to himself.
He hadn't realized it but he had managed to wriggle between a group of warriors.

Dapplepaw quickly glanced towards the ground as she heard about Stormstar's death. It was so quick..so sudden, she thought silently to herself. She glanced back up to the highrock and turned her attention back to Dragonstar.
..and as his deputy, I will take his place. We will all mourn for him, but i hope that Riverclan will grow in strength under my lead.
Dapplepaw nodded, green orbs approving. Dragonstar would make a good leader.

[glow=red,2,300]Dragonheart was glad that the cats seemed to accept him as their new leader. He hoped to set out for the moonstone as soon as possible, but he knew as leader of Riverclan, he should wait till tomorrow, when his clan had finished mourning. "I will leave for the moonstone tomorrow, with a small patrol." He mewed loudly to the gathered cats, he then stepped down from the high rock and headed for the Nursery, he had seen Purekit vanish in there looking upset when he had announced the news, so he went to comfort her. [/glow]

Twilightpelt let out a sigh as he saw Stormstar's body. He closed his eyes and sat their silently for a moment in memory of the leader before giving a short nod and stepping over to Angelfur, he nodded at her as he sat down next to her.

[glow=red,2,300]Lightpaw glared at teh ground when Dragonheart said teh news. All this work, all this hardship...and Stormstar was dead. She nuzzled against Snowpelt, who licked the top of her head.
"It'll be all right," he whispered in her ear. He was sad, too, but he coudln't help but be just a little bit happy. Stormstar had not made him deputy; he had been mad at him for the longest time about that. Why are you happy? a part of him asked. I'm not; not entirely. I'm not saying he got what he deserved, but that part of me...that jealous part...that is happy now, but soon, it will be sad, too.[/glow]
Heavystorm just blinked. He was never a cat for words. "Heavystorm is sad," he said to his friend, Tearkit. "Stormstar was a great leader; Heavystorm will not forget."
"I know," mewed the kit. "I'm sad, too. Stormstar was a great leader. oh!" she watched as Purekit darted back into teh nursery, obviously upset. "I wonder what's wrong."

Lilyfeather hung her head, trying to process this new information. Stormstar? Dead? Not possible. She was happy for Dragonstar, but it was still a shock. Stormstar couldn't die. He was their leader. She didn't know what to say or do. This was news that couldn't be. 'I will stay here...' she thought, 'Until he is really gone.' And so she sat, unmoving, under the highrock, waiting for Stormstar's spirit to go.

Cougarpaw gasped. What! How could Stormstar be dead! he thought, looking down at the ground in sorrow.
Foxpaw's eyes widened in shock and his tail drooped to the ground. He hadn't really known Stormstar, but he knew that he had been a great leader.
