Waiting to Explain (Dragonstar, Swallowtail)

[glow=red,2,300]Snowpelt trotted into the empty leader's den and sat down, stiff and rigid. His tail twitched as he waited for Swallowtail, and the upcoming confrontation with his new leader.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Dragonheart(star) saw Snowpelt enter his den and followed him in. "Snowpelt, I presume you have come to talk to me, how can I help you?" He asked Snowpelt. He was trying to work out who should be his deputy and he was wandering weather Snowpelt, would be the cat he would choose, he had always been a loyal warrrior and a sort of friend to Dragonheart. He couldn't decide now though, it isn't the sort of thing to decide quickly andmaybe there were others older and more expirenced than Snowpelt, he just couldn't think right now, he was still mourning Stormstar.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Snowpelt smiled nervously at his leader, oblivious to the conflict in Dragonstar's mind, and meowed, "There's a cat here from WindClan...she's a medicine cat. She said she came to join." He waited nervously for his answer.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Dragonheart was instantly alert, "Where is she?" He asked, "Has she said why she wants to join?" As Dragonheart's thoughts were spoken he thought about why a cat from Windclan would want to join Riverclan, was she not loyal to her clan? Has anything happened in Windclan? His conflicting thoughts were plain on his face.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]"She said it's to be with her brother, Hawkwing," answered Snowpelt. He was just as confused about this as his leader was. He furrowed his brow, than raised it. "Are you ok, Dragonstar? Or are you just thinking about something?"[/glow]

Swallowtail walked into the den. Her tail was down and dragging against the ground. The leader would be mad at her. She hoped she would at least get to say sorry before he made her leave. She looked into Dragonstar's eyes and pleaded to stay.

Hawkwing waited restly outside the den. He knew Dragonstar would be mad and now he wouldn't have any luck on being named deputy. An older warrior would get it, even though he was doing his share in the clan. He sighed and sat down. This was going to be a long day.

[glow=red,2,300]"Here she is," mewed Snowpelt. "Swallowtail, this is Dragonstar. Dragonstar, Swallowtail. She's the cat I was telling you about." He smiled weakly, nervous about how Dragonstar would react.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]"Hello Swallowtail." He meowed keeping his voice normal. "Why have you left Windclan?" He then asked. [/glow]

Sparrowtail kneaded the ground uneasliy as she looked up at answer the leader's question. I don't think it is my duty. I wasn't ever meant for it....I'm....erm, I was a loner. I know there is a cat more worthy. she meowed, sighing.

[glow=red,2,300]"So you want to join RiverClan to be with your brother?" Dragonheart said calmly, "But, don't you think it a bit selfish, leaving your clan without a medicine cat and with no one to train a new one?" Dragonheart asked still puzzled, if Sparrowtail had been accepted by Starclan then she must be worthy. But why should she think otherwise, I can't decide this right now, and anyhow, it's the rest of the clan's choice as much as mine, he thought, but before I can decided, I must find out why this cat would leave her clan.[/glow]
