Splinter was acting as a new recruit for Riverclan. Before he got there he made a new name for himself. "I will be Splinterfoot for the time being" he said out loud. He walked into the clan and into the leaders den. "Hello I am Splinterfoot. I found your clan and maybe I could join" he said to the cat sitting there.
