"Finally, we're here." Lilyfeatherpushed through the reeds and ran to her den, imidiatly grabbing the supplies she would need to help Streamkit. "C'mon. Bring her in here!" said the medicine cat, waving the group in with her tail.

The tortoiseshell queen slowly made her way into the medicine cat's den. Her mind was awhirl, and she could barely make out her own paws. Eyes flickering for a moment, the unfamiliar surroundings of the medicine cat den did little to calm her. After hearing the distressed meows, she walked over to comfort, her mother instinct triggered. "It's okay, we all learn. I didn't know fish had teeth that sharp either..."

"It seems we've all learned something today, haven't we?" Lilyfeather said gathering some poppeyseeds up and nudging them towards Streamkit. "Here. This will ease your pain." mewed the medicine cat. She headed back to the piles of herbs and starting shifting through them "Lavender...... Lavender...."

[glow=navy,2,300]Maskedpaw padded up to Streamkit, to look at her wound, "If it weren't for you, Streamkit, I wouldn't of known either... I guess I should be grateful to you." He winked at her and then glanced down at her bloody wound. It looked pretty bad. The cut itself was deep, with swollen skin surrounding the bite itself. There was a little fur missing. "Hey, thank positive, you could tell most of friends that you did something they would never do..." He then looked up at Lilyfather and purred in humor, as she struggled to look through her cluster of herbs.[/glow]

"Lavender...Lavender....I KNOW I have some Lavender in here.....AHA! FOUND IT!" Lilyfeather purred slightly as she pulled out a lavander poultice she had made earlier, just in case something like this happened. She mixed it up with a strange, thick green liquid that sat on a leaf in the far corner of her den. "Here it is..." Lilyfeather said dragging it over to Streamkit. "This may sting, just so you know...." said the medicine cat, rubbing the poultice over the bite. "I suggest that you don't use that paw for a little while, and I'd like to keep you here to make sure it doesn't get infected. Is that all right?"

Dewdrop walked in the medicine cat den, "Lilyfeather, I need something for my wound from the battle." She turned her blue eyes onto Streamkit, "What happened?" She mewed.

[glow=aqua,2,300]Streamkit squealed a bit then padded slowly over to Lilyfeather. "Whats that?" she mewed hesitantly. She stared unshurly at a herb sitting close to her she sniffed it then drew back as it smelt horrible.
Streamkit wagged her tail happily. "I want to be a medicine cat when I get big!' she exclaimed happily.[/glow]

"Oh, no no. That's alright. Just show me your wound and we'll get you fixed up!" She smiled serenely at Dewdrop, then at Streamkit. She pushed the foul smelling herbs over to one side so that its smell could be less obvious.

[glow=blue,2,300]Maskedpaw contuined to watch. He had just been quiet, and guessed that the other cat, he reconized as Dewdrop hadn't known him to be in there. He sighed, and to direct everyone to him he spoke, "Streamkit, you would make a excellent medicine cat! I mean it!" His voice was soft and confident, for he did beleive Streamkit would make a grand medicine cat apprentice, or even just a apprentice. Lilyfeather was now a pretty extraordinary medicne cat, and she would make a great mentor to any lucky cat that she wanted to become the new medicine cat. Maskedpaw... well he didn't really have confidence in himself. his mentor was so lazy, she never trained him! He didn't have any friends, and well, he just didn't think he deserved anything at that certain stage that he had stumbled on. Whisperclaw was more of the quiet type. He could tell for she also wasn't talking very much. She had been a advanced warrior, and she was pretty old, she was one of the eldest clan members of RiverClan, to what Maskedpaw understood.[/glow]

[glow=aqua,2,300]Streamkit smiled proudly and arched her back. The kit was already almost 6 moons, but she still remained smaller and still had soft kitten fur.
"You do?" she purred happily, replying cheerfully to Maskedpaw's comment.
Streamkit wobbled closer to Lilyfeather so she could put something on it. "Do you have a apprentice, Lilyfeather?" Streamkit twitched her tail hopefully.[/glow]

"Well....." Lilyfeather said, looking down at her paws nervously. "I don't....but...There's someone I have my eye on...." she started to kneed the ground with her paws. There was a cat that she had noticed had exceptional talent, but.... "But I'm not sure if I have the confidence to be a mentor yet...." said the she-cat, briefly glancing up at everyone before returning her eyes to the floor.
