A tiny light coloured cat was lithly slithering over sheer rocks, the clicks of her claws echoing in the distance. Her almost lavender eyes gazed across the area, darting back and forth from meaningless objects. Butterflies, dragonflies, little luminescent bugs, and light blue, almost light purple feathers, drifted down to earth from atop a maple tree.
She sprung from the edge of one rock, over a small tributary of water, and over into a patch of reeds and cattails. Beyond her, the river was smoothly rolling over round silver and copper stones, shallowest in this area than any. Her eyes locked onto it, and her pace quickened. She wanted to catch minnows. Lightly stepping over another small channel of water, she arrived at the edge of the river, and with a deep breath, jumped in.
The water just barely reached her stomach, but because of her jump, it splattered all over her fur and the soft grainy sand. Smiling widely, she rolld over onto her back in the water, holding her beath as her head went under, and then jumping up, laughing. She was impulsive, and other than that, she was Featherpaw. |

Earthpaw caught sight of Featherpaw. His
silver orbs shined with happiness. He was
beginning to like her and was scared that
his brother would find out and strangle him.
"Featherpaw!" He meowed and bounded
over to her. As his tabby pelt shined but
was soon plastered to his skinny body
and had that watery look to it. "So what
do you want to do?"

Featherpaw darted around to face him, little wave circles in the water where driplets fell off her fur. Shaking herself like a dog, she sprayed water everywhere, and her fur stuck up in odd directions. She looked back at Earthpaw and smiled warmly.
"Hey! Didn't see you there!" She mewed lgihtly, bounding over to him to press her nose to his. "I was going to catch some minnows" She answered. |

Earthpaw gazed lovingly at Featherpaw. She was the perfect cat, pretty, sweet, loyal. Why didn't his brother like her? It was probley a good thing though.
The tabby apprentice smiled at her. "you mind if I come?" he moewed lightly. The warm breeze ruffled his fur and made the little tufts of grass dance with the wind.

Featherpaw gazed at Earthpaw, and blushed under the intensity of his stare. Shuffling her paws a bit, the water she was standing in made tiny under water waves, and the sand where her paws had been, filled up with more sand as she moved it. Each movement made some of the sandy drift upwards and turn the water golden.
"I'd love it if you came, but only if you really want to." Featherpaw offered, hoping that he didn't feel compelled to come. She wanted him to hang out with her because he wanted to, not because she asked him to. A little voice in her head reminded her of how Firepaw hated being around her. |

"No, no! I want to! You seem like fun!" He said and grinned, tail waving back and forth over the water. He wasn't very wet, only his front paws were in the water. "Do ya wanna swim for a while too?" He asked.

Feaherpaw beamed at Earthpaw, her eyes squinting at him in the warm buttery sunlight. She glanced down at her drenched body, pondering Earthpaw's question with a laugh.
"Heh. Seems like I started a little early on that one." She giggled. Featherpaw shook herself again, and glided over to Earthpaw. "Sure though, swimming with you sounds like fun." She quoted. "I have to say though, there are some drop offs and I don't really want to swim in the deep water." Featherpaw's nose wrinkled. "The elders told me that huge leeches will suck your blood out!" |

"Yeah right! You should know the elders are trying to scare us!" He said jokingly. Earthpaw gently tried to push Feather and ran into the water. He waited in the middle paddling around.
"You aren't a thunderclan cat are you?" He asked her and laughed. He loved being with Featherpaw just didn't know why. She was nice to him maybe?

Featherpaw mock glared at Earthpaw. "Ugh! How dare you push me! I should claw your ears off in your sleep!" She play growled. A few waterbugs skated across the waters surface, somehow not sinking in the water. Happily, she waded over by him, and smiled. The smile was short livid however.
You aren't a thunderclan cat are you? Featherpaw winced as he said the words. "Heh. Thunderclan... Of course not... If I were Firepaw would care about me like he does that pathetic Bluekit." She hissed. "But who cares about him? c'mon, lets catch some minnows!" She mewed, brighter now. |

Earthpaw listened intently to Featherpaw's words, he felt sorry for her. The young tom didn't realise his brother was so mean to her. Earthpaw swam up to Featherpaw, "Featherpaw, I just wanted to tell you......" His words drifted slowly away over the calmly flowing water. Suddenly he reared back and splshed a huge spray of water towards Featherpaw. "That you are so much fun!" he yowled grinning.

Featherpaw giggled at Eaethpaw, and splashed water back at him. Her lips upturned to a brilliant smile that could dazzle anyone. Her light lavender pelt was almost purple as it dripped sparkling water droplets that branched off gleaming spectrums and rainbows.
"I just wanted to tell you..." She began, swimming up towards him. She stopped just a few mouselengths beside him and whispered in his ear. "That you're the best and most attractive tom I've ever met." Featherpa finished, licking his ear before plunging underwater, her laughter following her as she bobbed up a few fox lengths away. |

Earthpaw swam strongly after Featherpaw. His eyes were shining brilliantly in the bright sunny day. But the truth was it didn't matter if it was pouring rain or hailing rocks, his eyes would always be shining because of what Featherpaw just said.
[Flashback]Earthpaw was floating quietly away from Featherpaw after he splashed water into her pretty pelt. 'Oh no, she will probably be mad at me' he thought. Then she spoke. "You are the best and most attractive tom I've ever met." The words buzzed around his head.
Presently Earthpaw paddled over to Featherpaw and nuzzled her cheek. "And you are the prettiest she-cat in the word." He said purring.
