Earthpaw's feet carried him over to the iced over river. His silver striped pelt glowed with a soft aura. The tom's silver eyes were dull but had a small light within them still. As his fur was buffeted by the breeze his gaze flicked to the ice. He could climb over to see his sister. Sure she hated him but maybe he could apologize for whatever.
Earthpaw put a cautious paw on the shimmering ice. His heartbeat went up a notch. His silver eyes glittered like a shining salmon's scales. As the frozen liquid creaked under his weight. As Earthpaw gave a weak hiss a sound erupted behind him.

Sparkkit had followed Earthpaw to the river, wanting someone to play with. As he heard Earthpaw hiss, he thought that a TC cat may of found him. So Sparkkit ran as fast as he could to the river and screeched to a stop before the ice." Erthpaw! Get away from the ice its gonna break!!!"

Earthpaw spun around as the kit cried out to him. The tom's silver tinged pelt was covered in snow and his silver eyes shown through the powder like the stars against Silverpelt. Earthpaw twitched his tail. 'The kit is gonna get himself killed coming out here', Earthpaw thought to himself. He rolled his eyes and then put one paw forward. The ice below cracked and Earthpaw fell onto the ice with a thud.
The water was deathly cold and it felt like a badger was gripping his leg and twisting it into a knot. The apprentice let out a yowl of pain before flying out of the water and back onto the ice. His pelt was fluffed up and his now ice covered paw was held up with a few drops of water splattering down.
