Searching for the Right.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

The tortoiseshell pelt of Sakura was barely visible in the darkness of the night. Her eyes were not a usual bright, but sad and dull. She laid down on the last piece of territory un-explored.

Probably another clan territory she thought bitterly I'll just get chased off or attacked, like when I was helping Badgerpaw collect herbs She sighed and laid her head on her paws, waiting for the attack to come.

Flailpaw was exploring the borders like Liontooth had said, but now he wasn't sure. The first thing he saw, was the last thing he needed. A loner. A deep growl built up inside his chest.

"What are you doing here?" He snarled, angry. What did this loner think she was doing?

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura looked at him, uncaring.

"Here, let me save you the trouble. I'm Sakura, now just go ahead, attack me. What else is new with you clanners?" She growled. She didn't move from her spot on the ground though, she just looked at the cat with dull, uncaring eyes.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw snorted. "We'ren ot all about killing like you loners are. We are about loyalty and pride. What have you got against clanners?" He growled, his muscles getting stiff. He wanted to attack, but he knew better.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

"Plenty" Sakura growled "Too long a story to explain to you" She remembered all the attacks from clanners. The most recent was Cougarpaw of RiverClan, nearly drowning her by throwing her in the river.

"Not all of you are bad" She mewed thinking of Whiskerpaw and Badgerpaw "But most of you are all about territory and killing over it. You have no pity on others." She growled the last part. Her eyes hardened.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw shruggged. "Oh well. Should we, I mean, you guys are pretty much filthy blood thirsty feinds." He shuddered, remembering the loner that had killed his mom. "Anyways, most clanners will attack you, even if they like you. I doubt that even the most friendly cat in the world will put asid his clan to help you. All cats turn, don't they>?" Flailpaw was relating to himself. A clanner had wanted to be with his sister, and then, he let his sis die in the earthquake. He could have grabbed her, but intstead, he let her die.

Sakura growled again.

"Most clanners only care about who has the most territory. They kill any cat that even takes a step on their territory! And worst of all, any cat with some sort of disability, is forgotten and shunned away from the clan because according to them they aren't as good as them!" Sakura hissed. Her pelt bristled, and claws unsheathed.

"Say you're a medicine cat" Sakura growled, giving an example of what happened to her and Badgerpaw "And you need an herb. You go to another clan territory to get it. And the next thing you know, you're being thrown into the river and attacked by a clanner!" Her eyes burned into the cat, anger and rage boiling into her.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw shrugged. "Oh well. Take care, just stay off Shadowclan territory." He said, walking away. Honestly, he didn't care.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura growled, but she didn't leave. Sakura was being stubborn. She laid down and groomed uncaringly.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw looked back. Why was she still there.

"Okay, oyu know what, go away now, or yeah, I'm going ot attack to." He flexed his muscles. He was a medium build cat, very strong.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

"Go ahead" Sakura growled "What else is new?" She still laid there, not moving. Sakura was being her stubborn self, trying to prove a point.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw sprang, and knew he'd end up on her back, waiting to sink his teeth into her neck. He didn't care, he had to fight for his clan.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura calmly rolled away, and stood up. She unsheathed her claws, and waited for the clan cat to get up.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw twisted in midair, and landed somewhat gracefully.
"Okay, you know what, do you really want me to hurt you?" He asked, growling. he began to circle.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura shrugged, again un-caring. She stood still, waiting for the cat's next attack.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw pretending to go forward, but then double back, and landed on her back. He dug his claws in.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura leaped into the air and thrashed her body, trying to shake the cat off. The claws brought the memories of Cougarpaw's attack. Well, there was no river here. Sakura continued to thrash until she would get the cat off.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw rolled over, and kicked forward. He flung the cat off her, and then he ran over to her and sank his teeth into her flesh.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura felt seering pain as the cat sank his teeth into her. If she twisted her body, it would hurt more. If she yowled, she would show weakness. And to a clan cat! She unsheathed her back claws and scraped them across the cat.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw ignored the claws, and bit deeper. He had thick skin, he would be fine. He dug his claws into the cat's side, and used his back legs to give him more leverage.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura only had one chance left. This was a trick thought to work before, she had to hope it worked now. Sakura closed her eyes, and her body went limp.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw didn't fall for it, he could see her breathing. He had to make sure she knew that she had to stay off. He raked a claw over her face, down her back, across her stomach. His other paw just scraped across in the same spot. He bit down harder, blood gushing in his mouth, soaking his fur.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura figured out it didn't work. She had no more ideas. Should she just lay there? No. She'd leave too much behind. Sakura swung her front claws and swiped the cat in the face.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw closed his eyes, and felt claws, but that amde him angrier, and he went into a frenzy, just clawing, biting, and more blood got on him. He bit down hard on her leg. Then he drug her a bit, biting harder, clawing, until she was over the border. He hissed, then bit her again and again.

Sakura growled. She wasn't giving up. Her head felt dizzy from blood-loss, and her vision started fading. Sakura didn't know what to do now. She had to do something. Sakura swiped the cat again, this time across the shoulder.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw felt pain sear through him, but he wouldn't stop until she left. Her blood was starting to taste better the more he hurt her. He was doing it for the clan.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura wasn't giving up. This was more then enough proof the clan cats had no pity. Innocent lives ending because of stupid territory! Sakura swiped him again. If this didn't work, she would have to flee.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw growled through fur, and locked his jaw on her leg. He didn't want to hurt her bad, just wanted her to leave. He hoped that he hadn't heard a sickening crack as well...

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura felt her bone crack and that did it. She had to get out of here. Sakura jerked free and limped across the border. Once she was across she collapsed, her vision fading again.

Flailpaw spat out a mouth full of blood. He felt satisfaction. He had obediantly served his clan.
