Looking out on the Border

Ember slowly walked to the border of WindClan, on the ShadowClan side. What if Shadowstone or another Clan Mate saw me? she thought frantically. Ohh, they would skin me alive and it would probably be the end of my friendship with Shadowstone, but I have to see him again. Ember nervously waited licking her paws now and then.

[Burningwing]

A young warrior just happened to be patrolling the border, when the scent of Windclan drifted past his nose. Those rats! he thought angrily. Always coming on the territory! He crept forward, his belly brushing the ground. He wiggled his tail and grinned. Got them this time!
He leaped out at Emberheart, his fangs bared and a snarl across his face. He was very wary of wanderers and this warrior would wish she hadn't trespassed!
Acrorntail pinned her to the ground and snarled in her face. His rage was clear through his amber eye.
" Did you just think you could go for a little walk? Without paying attention to the rules?"

[goldentail]

Splinter spotted Emberheart and Acorntail. "It's ok Acorntail I think I can handle this one. I want to prove I am loyal" meowed Splinter. He was hopeing that Acorntail would leave him and Emberheart alone together. He had to tell her his feelings for her.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw was running with Crowpaw, and just happened to spot Acorntail.

"You!" He spat at the former loner Splinter, unaware of what was really happening, only that he didn't like Splinter... At all.

[Frostwing :)]

Ember pushed the young warrior off, her she stared at the warrior and said, "Well seeing as I wasn't stealing prey or demolishing your terratory I don't think I'm doing any harm, and I am a tail legnth across the border I can easliy cross back into my own terratory, thank you very much." Ember leaped back onto her side of the border and a a smirk crossed her slim face.

Acorntails eyes flickered as Emberheart mocked him by jumping back on WC side of the border. His long, curved claws dug into the marshy soil as if it was the enemy's hide. He curled his lips to reveal his many shining rows of white fangs. He coiled his legs beneath him and leaped.
Straight for Emberheart.
He pushed her onto the ground with a firm grip that she couldn't scheme out of. He was young enough to have lots of energy ans agility, but old enough to be strong and tough. His muscles rippled under his rusty coloured fur and he hissed through his teeth.
" The thundepath is not only a tail length long, mousebrain," he spat.

_{Crowpaw ran up beside Flailpaw, her fur bristling. She took a step forward and scanned the picture in front of her. She could tell that Splinter liked this cat, which was in WC. That was against the rules.
" GO away!" She growled at Emberheart. She stepped back again, closer to Flailpaw.}

[Meerful]

Flailpaw brushed his pelt to hers in comfort. She seemed angy, and he didn't want to make her more angry, but he wanted tt let her know he wante dher to be safe. "You traitor!" He growled at Splinter, sure that he was going to let the cat free. Flailpaw flexed his claws, and rushe forward, jumping onto Splinter's back. "Go to camp now, or you'll wish you never came" He growled into the cat's ears.

_{Crowpaw watched Flailpaw attack Splinter. She wanted Splinter to be a good clan cat. She bit her lip in worry. Splinter probably like this strange cat and wanted to tell her something. She wished Acorntail didn't have a hare trigger when it came to trespassers. And she didn't want Flailpaw to get hurt by Splinter since she was sure that he would attack Flailpaw back.
Crowpaw bit her lip and gasped for air. This was a chance for her to show what skills she had. Was she prepared for it?
She was angry at Splinter for disobeying the warrior code, but she knew that he couldn't help it if she loved Emberheart. But couldn't Ember have went to a better spot to meet him?
Crowpaw felt her eyes water in confusion. She was really worried. Splinter was a full grown ex. loner and Flailpaw was only a apprentice.
But he isn't just a apprentice....}

Flailpaw was angry now. Unfortunatly, Flailpaw was robust, hardy, ad easily angered. It was a click tha made him set off. His pelt prickled like sharp thorns, ad his eyes stared down at the cat's back in fury. Hw coud Splinter have done this? Sure he couldn't help his feeligs, Flailpaw was hving the same feelings as well, but at least he could keep them under check... For awhile.

With intensity he slowly dug his ong claws nto the cat's back, feeling the cat's warm blood seep over his paws and stain them red. "Traitor!" He hissed barely audible into the cat's ears, his own flattened with rage. For a split second he looked over at Crowpaw. Why was she upset?

What happened to her? His mind jumped in fear.

"Flailpaw!" Crowpaw cried. " Don't get hurt!"
She had a terrible fear of fights, since that was how she lost her brother, and this fight made no exception. She felt her head whirl, and dizziness overcome her.
She tried to blink it away, but it hit her in waves of pain and confusion. She felt her legs collapse and her eyes went clouded. It wasn't serious, but it sure looked bad.

Crowpaw had a phobia of fights.</sub>

[Meerful]

Flailpaw sudenly forgot everything about what he was doing. All he wanted was to comfort Crowpaw. To save her... To l.. no not yet. Too soon. He sure liked her alot though. Way to much for just meeting. His body pulsatd forward and he collapsed beside her wanting to help her.
"Crowpw!" He cried when she fell.

_{Crowpaw felt her head whirl in terror. Flashes of cats covered in blood flashed in her mind. Dead cats swam in her head. She grounded her teeth, trying to forget the havoc of the old battle.
Since she had been so young, she had it imprinted in her mind. The terror, the pain, the suffering.
The losing her brother.
She couldn't help it. It was like being afraid of heights. She got dizzy and nausea, confusion and forgetting.
She kicked her legs like she was trying to get away from something, but nothing was there. She cried out in terror and fright.
Then she felt a warm pelt brush hers.
Flailpaw.....
The name echoed in her mind and her breathing slowed to a rasping gasps.
" Flailpaw?"}

[Meerful]

Flailpaw backed up when she kicked out, her claws unsheathed, then he laid beside her, constantly speaking to her. "Don't shh. Shhh. I'm here, I wont let anything ever hurt you, ever!" He whispered in her ear with a hushed voice. Then he did something he hadn't even expected, he licked her ear adoringly, wth a trace of panic, entwined his tails with hers, and scooted himself a close as possibl to her, whispering things the whole time.

Ember went limp, she just went limp, her eyes closed and her breath hardly seemed to exist. She rasped once and lay there quiet, she wasn't dead nor was she unconsies this was all a show.

Splinter growled at the young stupid apprentice. "You think I am a traitor?" he hissed angrily. "Do you see these scars? Do you think that your tiny claws are going to hurt me? I am a rouge I have fought more cats than you could count." Splinter laid his ears flat against his head. "Since I do believe the warrior code says not to kill let her go back to her own territory. She seems ready to leave."

[Meerful]

Flailpaw paid no attention to the stupid ex loner, and continued whispering sweet an innocent things to Crowpaw, so afraid that he might of hurt her.

Splinter glanced at Flailpaw. He would be a fine cat. Unlike him. Splinter knew that few would trust him. He was a loner for starclan's sake. Who would trust the cat that others told stories about to scare their kits. He sighed. He was in love with a cat that was forbidden.

[snowpelt]

[glow=white,2,300]Lullaby stalked into view of other cats, she didn't care if they saw her, her eyes fixed on them, as she made her way around them, but decided to drop by, and talk for awhile, she eyed all three of them, and gave a low hiss, she slightly parted her mouth, and drew in the harsh scents, she raised up, and looked at them again, her blue misty eyes looked at splinter, and notcied him from the loner terras.[/glow]

Ember leaped up from her faint like pose and growled smoothing down her fur, back on the WindClan side of the borders.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw glanced up momentarily to growl menacingly at those around him. His sharp fangs glistened, and a snarl escaped from theback of his throat.

[Frostwing :)]

Ember let out a low menacing growl, she clawed the ground and restrained herself from attacking both Acorntail and Flailpaw at the same time.

[Meerful]

As soon as Flailpaw had heard the other cat, he felt his claws untract and retract in anger, his eyes had become furious slits. A deep gutteral sound came from the core of his body, a deep sadistic machositic snarl, and a graituitous shine of razor tipped fangs led a warning to the Windclancat. He had every right to sink his teeth into the life vein in her throat, and his mouth watered at the thought.

Splinter focused on the loner. "Who are you and why are you in Shadowclan?" he hissed mencingly. "Leave now." The last part was meant for Emberheart and the loner. He flicked his ear slightly to try and tell her to come later or he would come and see her. He would go for a walk into the loner terras there he could talk freely.

[Frostwing :)]

Ember got the drift and hissed stalking off she gave a mournful look at Splinter that she hoped no oth cat saw. The sun shined on her fur, illuminating its black color and now you could see it was really just a dark brown.

[Meerful]

Flailpaw saw Emberheaert, and his eyes followed her, her gait bothered him, her eyes bothered him, evrything abot her bothered him. He wanted to kill her, just to ensure the safety of Crowpaw. Anything for her. If he had to, he would stay complettly away from her, if that meant she'd be safe. He could already tell he'd made an enemy of far too many cats today.

Lullaby just looked and stood up straight her petit body stood as high as it could, "Well nice to meet you to" she snarled at flailpaw, "Growling at your own clan mate, just wonderful...what is this clan coming too" she mummbled under her breath, as she walked past splinter, her fur brushing against his not even noticing, she felt down, and felt as if the world was nothing, 'Oh that when smooth, great job now your alone in the world with only yourself' her thought as her black pelt slightly shook as she walked.

Flailpaw merely ignored every cat around him except the one he was now laying beside, a tortured expression on his face. 'How could I endanger her like this? ' Agony flooded over his worn and tired body.

[Burningwing]

<sub>Crowpaw coughed dramatically. Flailpaws warmth caused a reaction since she was so cold causing her to cough. Dizzily, she rose slowly, her pelt jolting a flash of light as she stood in the sunlight.
" I'm OK," She wheezed. Then she looked over with a loving gaze at Flailpaw. " Thanks."

Her eyes which were just clouded with confusion were now glittering sparks of gold and silver as she looked up. Acorntail had abandond the trespasser and was spitting at Splinter before walking away. Crowpaw padded closer to Flailpaw and pressed her pelt to his. She twined her tail with his and brushed her whiskers with his.</sub>

Splinter glared at Acorntail before hissing at him.

Flailpaw glanced at Crowpaw, surprised. "You do care" He mumbled to himself. Agony huddered through him. 'If she dies of shock, it's your fault. You idiot' Quickly, he looked at her, making sure she wasn't going into hysterics.
