[size=1The sky was dark, like the feathers of a raven when the small, gangly kit stumbled into the nursery. His pelt was ruffled and torn slightly, but his eyes were bright as the moon. What a great day! He blinked, eyes adjusting slowly to the dim light of the nursery. Giving a overjoyed purr, he trotted over to his mossy bed by the entrance, ears pricked and tail twitching, whiskers flared out like rays of darkness across the moonlit sky. Elderly vines hung from the entrance, winding across the torn gorse bushes lining the camp.
Ravenkit soon became drowsy, though he wouldn't let himself fall asleep until he had talked to Drizzlekit, the pretty golden she-cat the accepted him for who he was, not his appearance. Eyes fixated on the entrance, he began to grow wary, for sleep was now wrapping its heavy fingers around him, and he was slipping off....
