As Shadowstone was patroling the boarders he heard a rustling somewhere close.Then all of a sudden Shadowstone whiped around to be face to face with a fox!It's hot breath streamed over Shadowstone's face.Shadowstone drew back his lips and hissed,"Go back where you came from mouse brain!" but the fox didn't move.Now,Shadowstone knew that he could beat the fox,but not head on.He would have to outwit it.Just then the fox attacked Shadowstone and pinned him to the ground.Shadowstone had the breath knocked out of him but, he didn't give up.He managed to wriggle free of the fox's grip.He jumped up on it's back and clamp down on it's shoulder.Shadowstone could tast the blood but held on tight.The fox was getting weaker,or so Shadostone thought.The fox threw Shadowstone off it's shoulder and raked him across his side.He was bleeding badly now and he was tired as well."I only have one shot at this." he said to him self.Shadowstone leaped on the fox's back and clamped down on it's neck as hard as he could.At that instant the fox fell over dead.He barly had enough energy left but,he got the fox back to the camp to show to his clan. But before any one saw him he blacked out.

Emberheart came up through the bushes and saw the Fox leave.
"Nice one Shadowstone" she mewed to the younger warrior.
