Skulls bone tail rattled in the harsh fall wind.With eyes that looked like they could turn you to stone, his gaze swept across the harsh land.With a great crack, his tail snapped as he waited on a cold black rock under a willow tree, for Shard.....

[glow=white,2,300]Shard, the blind she-cat, walked into the clearing.The cold wind scratched againts her nose, making it impossable to find anything with just her nose.After awile the sent of danger crossed her nose, it was Skull's sent.Shard quickly ran after the sent before the cold winds would blow it away again.Soon she came to the willow tree, the sent of danger was overwelming.She knew that ment she was infront or behind Skull.[/glow]

Skulls mouth smiled, very unusual."Ah, Shard you are here!Now what do you want to learn?"He curled his bony tail around her and licked her ear affectingly, very, very, unusual....

[glow=white,2,300]Shard felt very confused at how conferring Skull could be, She had always thought he was a cruel evil monster that only brought misery "Um, I would like to increase my since of hearing and smell, so I can be aware of everything around me" she replied truthfully.[/glow]

Skull nodded."Young apprentice I will tell you, but first my history...."he meowed"Before, when I was a kit, I was like you but worse.I was blind, deaf and mute. But my smelling was very supreme. But I was made fun of......those cats are now dead."He smiled"It was hard for me, but i trained my self to see, hear and speak with my sense of smell, Starclan helped me. When I learned they gave me my sight, hearing and speech back. Then, I killed those that mocked me"He grinned"But I was exiled. I was a loner, but as I grew I found more loners to help me."He smiled again."But now I will teach you."He stood up."Now, Shard, use your hearing and smelling, to create a image in your mind"......

[glow=black,2,300]Shard listen to Skull story with much interest, how his life resembled her life amazed her.One Skull's story was over she try to imagine what the world around her looked like.

Starting with a simple black space, Shard took in the senses around her and inside the black space grew an imaginary Skull, sitting also quietly on a warm rock.Then she lised to the sounds of chirping bird, making note of this, imaginary birds sat high in leafless trees.Then everything when black again.

Shard's whole body felt numb from trying so hard to make her imaginary land, yet she failed."I-I-I am sorry, It didn't work" Shard said, trying to picture what Skull's face world look like.[/glow]

Skull laughed."Its OK Shard"he reassured"Just keep trying!I didn't get it right the first time!"he grinned."Maybe this will help!"he concentrated hard."By the forces of the stars, I demand you help this young warrior!"a moment passed were every thing was quiet, then the noise came back.

[glow=white,2,300]Suddenly, shard's left eyes begain to see colors/Then she saw everything in her left eye.It was so beautiful, the whitness of Skull's pelt to the darkness of the great rock.

Then with a blink of a eyes, it was gone."Skull it worked!!" Shard yowled as she remembered all she saw.She wanted it more then ever now."I want more" she whisperd to herself.[/glow]

Skull smiled. Not the evil smile but a proud smile. "The sight is in you now!" he began"All you have to do is unleash it into both of your eye's Shard! Then I can teach you more!"
Skull grabbed a falling willow leaf. He gave it to Shard. "Now can you tell me what this is Shard? Without using smell or touch?"

[glow=white,2,300]Shard took a deep breath then tryed again , she blinked the black softly away, yet still she could only see threw her left eye."It is..." Shard was confused, she despertly wanted to smell the object, because she could tell things apart only by smell."I don't know the name, i have never seen this object before''[/glow]

[Meerful]

[shadow=black,left,300] With fresh paw prints on the soft sow, Meer quietly padded towards where she believed Shard as. There were no slight disfigurations of which Meer could tell that this wasn't some black cat, other than the fact that she was blind, but the she- cat was turned towards a frosty white tom.

Meer desperatly tried to sniff the air, but she could get nothing, so she decided to just walk up, hoping they weren't anything like Goldenpaw.

Cautiosly, Meer crept forward until she was almost right by the two cats. They were talking. Meer studied the white tom's mouth as it moved to form words. I can't tell what he's saying! The sand colored cat thought. She paused. I guess all I can do is go up there...

With every paw step, Meer closed in on hte gap between herslef and the two cats. The wind shifted. Her scent was plummete towards them. Meer froze and waited for them to notice or keeep going.[/shadow]

Angelheart had left her sister and when Meer had left she had followed. Angelheart smelt Skull, Shard and Meer here. "Great now I am wishing I had stayed out of it" she whispered

[Meerful]

[shadow=black,left,300] Meer felt vibrations run up her legs coming from behind her. She whipped her head around and with her one eye, she stared and looked around for what might hav made it. She blinked, and turned back around to gaze at the two cats deeply engrossed in whatever they were doing. Meer didn't understand, and her blood pounded in her ears.[/shadow]

Angelheart's neck was bleeding feriously but she was determined to do something about Meer. "So Meer how are you" she asked cautiously

[Meerful]

Meer nieter heard nor scented the cat that had crept up to her, but she felt it. Uncertain, but confident, Meer whiped her head around with a furious glare and unshethed claws.
"What do you want?" She hissed.

[glow=black,2,300]Skull told Shard that it was a willow leaf then turned to see the cats. He slinked over his bone tail rattling from the wind. Soon he was beside the cat wiith one eye. He smerked. "Hello Meer" he meowed.[/glow]

[shadow=black,left,300] Meer deciphered the words the movement of the white cat's lips. She nodded. "How do you know my name?" She suddenly asked. Meer had never even met this cat before, but it seemed like she should remember him from somewhere.[/shadow]

[glow=black,2,300]Skull laughed then turned back to Shard. His eyes glowed like the moon. "Shard, do you want too practice fighting now?" he meowed harshly. He felt the wind try to push him away, but he held fast to the grassy patch. Skull brassed himself to see how Shard fought so far.[/glow]

Shard nodded, she wanted to learn everything she could so she would be a strong as she needed to be to make it in this cruel dull world."Thatwould be great!" she said, trying to to sound to despert (SP?).

Shard slowly feel into a tight Fighting pose, ready for instructions.[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]Skull nodded. "Just pretend im a claner."he hissed. He lashed his tail making it crackle too tell Shard where he was. He watched slowly as Shard got into the fighting position. Skull told himself not to use his tail. He did not want to hurt her.[/glow]

[glow=white,2,300]Shard slowly ran over her plan in her head,she slowly begain to cordinate where Skull's Neak, Chest, and sholder was from the crack of the tail.Then she monevered (Sp?) a perfect tackle, if it was an ordinary claner it would have hit them,but this was Skull, who knows what will happen....[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]Skull licked his lips. His tiny,shrivaled heart pounded in his chest. A crest of ice had formed on his ears, nose and tail. He waited for Shard to strike he knew she was thinking of what to do. He nodded again slowly, thinking.....[/glow]

[Meerful]

Meer watched as the two fought with great interest.

[glow=white,2,300]Quickly, Shard flung her unshethed claws at Skull, and at the same moment she jumped of the ground .Hoping to complete her perfect tackle.[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]Skull knew that Shard had to learn, so he didn't attack. He simply leaped higher then Shard, struck her head down when he was in the air, then pinned her down quickly.

"Shard, im sure a claner would not know what to do, but be a bit more creative with me."

Skull slinked away too another spot then turned. "Try again" he meowed with strain in his voices. He got ready for another attack attempt and spread his paws apart to cover more ground. The snow seemed to dance around them willingly.[/glow]

[glow=white,2,300]Shard relocated Skull by lisen to the breath of the tom.She slowly beagin to think what to do.Shard figured out wha o do as quickly ran at Skull at full speed then, he moanover made it look like she was about to headbutt Skull.But instead of a headbutt she jumped over himandtryed to lash at his back leggs.[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]This did surprise him a bit, but he didn't swing around fast enough and got snagged bye his right hind leg.

"Very, good Shard!" he hissed as warmly as a hiss could be.

The snow had quickened its pace and came tumbling down in heavy sheets of frost. Skull shoke some of the freezing rain off his pelt and shivered. He turned to Shard again and nodded. "Why don't you try making more moves up?"[/glow]

[Meerful]

Meer walked over to Skull. "Do you know how to fight with only three legs?" Sheasked, motioning her head towards her missing right front leg.

[Burningwing]

[glow=black,2,300]"Yes" he answered. "I do". He looked at Meer through half closed eyes. "Stand on your hind legs and scratch with your front leg." Skull nodded.

Meer looked at him puzled, her one eye iled with confusion. "I'll fall! I've tried, and the only time I succeeded was when I killed my leader" She mewed, her voice filld with uncertainty.
