Hidden pain

[glow=red,2,300]Sorrowheart walked slowly through the dark and dead forest. She was all bone and no meat, besides her stomach, her spotted pelt stretched as her stomach formed a small circle. Sorrowheart's red eyes scanned the dark forest her mouth chattering and her whiskers twitching, ears moving back and forth sorrowheart caught something with her eyes, a brown body moving quickly, she dashed for it. "Mrrow!" she yowled and skidded to a hault, a sudden sharp pain hit her side, she looked at it and licked it, and shook her pelt, Ow..that hurt she thought and slowly walked on, she hadn't eaten in days, she hadn't seen skull in days, she was starving her self because of a hidden pain.[/glow]

[glow=white,2,300]Skull had for once felt guilt. Guilt that he had left Sorrowheart to roam without him while he lay in his den, sickness washing over him like deadly tides to sweep him away. Cold fever, nausea, aches....it was horrible but Skull knew he had to suffer to keep living on.....but now he had to get back to Sorrow, the cat who had comforted him with a brush of a pelt, a twitch of a whisker and a soft word.....All this he had left, while he lay in his den, the sand sinking around his feet and waving into his fur.

He crawled over the loner terras, his belly brushing the ground softly stirring up clouds of dust that foamed into his nose and causing him to let out a sneeze. Then in his fortune, he saw Sorrowheart, walking over the plains and into the dark forest that lined it like a thick icing. He had hunted along the way and a plump rabbit hung limp in his jaws, a thick liquid dripping down its neck. His ragged white pelt clumped in layers of dirt and mud, bristled up and his ears shot forward. Bounding again, mixing up more dirt, he raced over to her, the pounding rhythm of his paws hitting ground ringing through his black lined ears. He dropped beside her and pressed his head to hers, dropping the rabbit. " Sorrow! Here, eat this!" he meowed, the emotions he were learning about leaking into it like raindrops.[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]sorrow perked up, as she heard skull, her eyes wided as she saw him, she licked his cheek as he came up to her, she nodded and let out a sweet purr of thanks, it was getting hard for her to hunt, having kits of board, but she was starting to live with it. She smiled at him, and looked at his matted fur, with clumps of mud, and dirt, she smiled more clearly now, and began grooming his furr, making it soft and silky, she purred all the way until his fur was it's shadowy color. Sorrowheart looked at the rabbit, and took a small bite out of it, chewing and swallowing. "Skull...are you okay?" she mewed as she looked into his ice blue eyes, she let out a rusty purr of concern, he didn't have the same look in his eyes, something was going over skull and making him ill.[/glow]
