Meer's Kitting?!

Sunset gasped, and gently but the small kits in some moss, and ran over to shard, and giving her the remaining poppyseeds. ((Is she? ))

((NO she is kitting))Splinter looked at all the she cats around him. "Is she ok?" he meowed.

Shard curled tighter in her little ball and refused the poppyseeds[/glow]

"She's kitting" she snapped, and licked shard's head gently, and rubbed her stomach.

Meer dragged herself to SHard. "It's okay, it hurts, just a hheads up" she mewed, nuzzling her kits to her. Tey began mewling in protest, but Meer wanted them near her.

Splinter was distressed. He was a tom. He didn't know anything about kits. His mate was distress. Shard was kitting and strangly he wasn't dead. The only thing that was calm was Goldenpaw.

Meer looekd at Shard, "I didn't ditch you, I knew that when it was my time, you wouls come..." she looked to Shard, and licked her head. "Hurts real bad, I think I may have died" she laughed.

Splinter walked in circles distressed. "Meer what can I do?" he meowed. He began pacing. He needed to dig his claws into something. He heard a rustle in the bushes. A rabbit hopped out. Splinter was not particarlly hungry but he leapt at it anyway. He dug his teeth deep in its flesh.

Steps Soft snuggled closer to Sunset as she was pulled towards her mother.

Drizzlekit had been bored so she had followed her mom out of the nursery. "Mom who are those kits?" she asked spotting the small kits.

Cujo dashed up to Shard's side, and instantly began purring and licking her head. I'm here, are you alright? He said, pausing only long enough to meow those words.

Sunset looked at little drizzlekit, "Darling, these are your brothers and sisters" seh mewed, and licked her head, "Darling do you know where you daddy is?" she mewed feeling so worried, that her mate hadn't come back from the killing of yarrowkit.

Shard slowly closed her eyes, yet the pain would go away,allshe could think about was how mcuh it hurt and how she had to think about something else....Soon a brown and black cat with a white star on his chest was born.[/glow]

Meer scooted closer and looked at Shard. "They are so much more helathier than mine..." She mewed. Her birth was early.

Sunset sat there and watched, she couldn't comfort the kitting she-cat, she had meer's kits to nurse, she couldn't let them die.

Meer looked at Sunset. "May I have Niche?" She asked, pointing to the sleeping kit.

Niche twitchd his tiny tail, and scrabbled his little paws. He was asleep, but could still understand what was going on.

[glow=gray,2,300]Rain watched from under neath a near by bush, her blue eyes sparkling, she shivered as cold winds blew at her and her sister, they both shivered, rain watched silently, her fur slightly matted, and her eyes always watery, she moved her tail over her paws to keep them warm.[/glow]

Meer turned her head. Tremors were sent up her arm as ifsomething had shivered.

"Yeah he is in the nursery" meowed Drizzlekit. She seemed distracted. She walked toward the kit named Steps Soft. "You are now my Softkit" she whispered. "Mom they need clan names they won't fit in otherwise maybe even tempary clan names. Let's see." She looked at Fragment. "Fragment can be called Fragmentkit and Turtle Turtlekit. I am gonna call Steps Soft Softkit."

Splinter turned to Meer. "We need to get them to a nursery and soon" he meowed.

Steps Soft looked up at the sound of her name. She saw Sunset. "Momma" she meowed.

[Meerful]

Meer shivered when Steps Soft called Sunset 'Momma' a tear glistening in her eye. you arne't their mom anymore, you never will be... Sunset is. Leave hem, they are no longer yours... Meer started to feel an increase in hollowness in her body. She was goign to lose all the ones she loved.

She then growled at Drizzlekit. "NO! They are to keep their names! I will not let them become clan kits, when they are older, I will take them back to the forest." She hissed. If they still love me by then...

Sunset~ Sunset smiled, she looked at steps soft, she gave a light purr, but she knew how meer must feel, and how shock drizzlekit was, she licked drizzlekit on the head, and turned to meer, "Meer...it's okay, their names will be the same" she meowed.

Rain~ Rain shivered again, and tears flooded her eyes, flower had gotten scared, and jumped, Rain went after her and ran as fast as they could.

"No Steps Soft will stay with me" hissed Drizzle. She didn't know why but Steps Soft was hers now. She looked so much like Goldenpaw had before she had changed. She felt her mother enter her spirit. "I had to give up my kits Meer I had to give them up and I did willingly. Steps Soft is the daughter of my brother I will take care of her and my daughter they will be sisters" hissed Goldenpaw. Then she left Drizzle standing dizzy.

Steps Soft snuggled closer to the yellow body in front of her. She had felt the aroma of Goldenpaw enter Drizzle and had felt the change. She was very keen to the presence of spirits.

[Meerful]

Meer growled. "Forget it! Forget all of you! SHard, she'd willingly nurse my kits! I'm taking her with me! She's not yours! I don't care Goldnepaw. I gave birth to her. She is gray and white, and I will not let you take my kit away!" She growled. "Just because you decided to die and leave your kit to someone else doesn't mean I should have to! I'm not you, I wish I'd never met you or Splinter!" SHe growled, her eye crying now, tears pouring out freely.

"What" exclaimed Splinter. He drew back from Meer. "What did I do wrong?" He felt tears threating from behind his eyes. The world grew cold around him then he no longer felt the wind nor pain. The only thing he felt was the need for blood. Not prey blood either. He had bloodlust now and it wasn't going to go away until it was satisfied. He had returned to his shell. He no longer had a soul atleast it wasn't free it was locked up in a small barrier where no cat would trick him and set it free. He stood up to his full length. "Meer you are weak and selfish you say you have no soul yet you have feelings. I used to be like you but now the only feeling I have is the need for the blood. I love no more nor need food or sleep. All I need is blood. I might also need water" he hissed.

Sunset~ Sunset looked at meer, her eyes questioning, "Meer...it's not like I'm taking away your kits...you can have them, their yours, I never gave birth to them, but if you think I'm stealing them, then your wrong you asked me to take care of them!!" she growled back at meer, as she stared into her one clear eye.

Steps Soft turned away from the cat who had given her birth but was not her mother. She crawled whimpering over to Sunset. She could only just smell the cat but she could see. She ran into Drizzle's leg. Then she fell asleep.

[Meerful]

Meer hissed at him. "You are standing by and letting my kits be taken away. Our kits. You were never like me. I am strong, I am resilient, and I am selfish, greedy, and want to kill you about now. You're goingto let them take my kits away because you don't want to die! You are trying to be like me. Not better than me, you want to be exactly like me. " She growled at him.

Hey eye drifted to Sunset. "This wasn't aimed at you. I'm sorry, may I please have Steps Soft bakc now?" She asked, in a much softer tone.

A scent drifted by Drizzle. It was her mothers the mother she had never known. "Yes" meowed Drizzlekit. She carried the kit over to Meer.

"I was made before Splinter met you" hissed Splinter or rather Thorn. Thorn was Splinter only worse and without a soul. Thorn had no feelings none at all. "You were the only thing that kept me locked up the only thing and now Splinter is gone he is basically dead. He will not come back. "No souless cat would have lost her milk because her mate was dying. If I were you I would have killed Splinter but then I would be gone too wouldn't I."
